Just stop. No moral victories at this stage but Carroll has noting to lose or prove to anyone at this point. They beat the undefeated HCC (best conference in the state) champions last night and have done something no other Fort Wayne area school has done in the 6A era.

Fair but resume has to matter. Lutheran has done everything asked of them this season and relative to the competition they have played (a big difference I know) Lutheran has passed each test with flying colors. Gotta respect that and throw the little guys a bone every now and again. The games have to matter otherwise I’d just rotate the same four MIC/HCC teams in the top ten weekly.

Not my intent at all. We all have to admit that 15 days ago, Valpo’s resume was not all that impressive.

What adult human being with the word “dad” in his screen name (meaning he has children of his own) gets on a high school message board and attempts to take a dump on a group of 15 to 18 year old kids hours after their biggest win of the year and possibly their greatest athletic accomplishment of their lifetime? I had Hansen a clear favorite for Mr. Football but with tonight’s results, an eye popping performance next weekend by Bowen could flip the script.

Knew you’d take issue with that. I had Roncalli and New Pal in front of East Central and Carroll all year so I didn’t feel like I could pull the trigger and have a team jump East Central. It was a hard decision to make for sure.
