Great find/fair point. I guess some of my bias when it comes to fight songs lies in the fact that I’ve heard them played in big moments of big games. A&M has been a largely irrelevant program during my lifetime. Now, you want to get into game day traditions? The swaying of the 12th man might make that list of mine. It’s cool as hell.

1. I’ve got it on high authority that the Avon/Brownsburg statement is simply not true and is an overused idiom based in little to no evidence. They could still play in the non-conference annually. Plenty of other rivals do so. 2. You are right in saying that Tech would get demolished in every sport were they to join the MIC outside of boys basketball. They’d be a last resort in my opinion.

Just to give you an example of what was being spoken about when the news broke a few months ago regarding Carmel/CG having no one to test their junior varsity squads, particularly in the country club sports… 43 athletes finished the 1600 meter run in this meet. 41 were from Carmel. (And they left girls at home.)

CG/Carmel ranked 1-3 in boys golf. No other MIC teams ranked.
