  1. Pitt? Really? Wow. Also, when are folks going to learn about Texas? Clemson will be fascinating. Dabo whining about NIL and the transfer portal is rich. Will be interesting to see how he does without Elliott/Venables.
  2. I don’t view the Michigan/ND rivalry the same way I view Michigan’s rivalry with OSU/MSU. There is a mutual respect for one another because both programs seem to do things the right way and haven’t forgotten the STUDENT part of student-athlete. I “dislike” ND for other reasons (mainly their arrogance, the fact that they get their own set of rules, and the fact that their fans couldn’t find the Joyce Center on a campus map) but will root for them over the two teams mentioned above or ANYONE from the SEC any day.
  3. I think he’s referring more so to a specific conversation between UM/ND fans. There is no denying that both programs are in good shape.
  4. Yep. Terrified. NFL news? Sure. The #1 overall pick in two weeks will be a Michigan Wolverine.
  5. Why waste my time in showing up when you seem to already know everything about me, my political leanings and my knowledge of APA formatted citations from this high school message board? Come to think of it, why is there even a need for folks to meet face to face anymore when we can throw garbage at a wall and assume we already know everything about them based on some inconclusive Internet discussions?
  6. What's the fun in that?
  7. Yep. The view from up here is great.
  8. Ah, so if I had stated my condolences prior to giggling at the source he provided all would have been okay. Got it. Then answer my question regarding transparency. I think you are hinting at something. Just say it.
  9. Stop cracking jokes and expand on this transparency you speak of. I giggle at a source that you choose to link to reference the biggest sports story of the weekend and suddenly according to you and @Irishman, my political beliefs are apparent as well as my “transparency”. What are you gleaning from my chuckle on a high school football message board? I’m dying to know.
  10. Tell me more about this transparency. I’m dying to learn more about myself. (BTW: Thought you put clowns like me on ignore?)
  11. His shtick works.
  12. Oh come on now. Gimme a break.
  13. Gonzo strikes me as the type of guy that sifts through websites LOOKING for the most controversial one so that he can get a reaction while he mixes his Metamucil in the AM…then sits back and watches the fireworks while pulling up his tube socks for pickle ball. HE doesn’t believe most of the nonsense he posts but it’s better to be controversial and interesting than it is correct.
  14. To be fair, I initially attacked the source…and rightfully so.
  15. Nah, I agreed with your sentiments but the REASON for them doing it is blatantly obvious. As for App State, they were THE FCS school at the time coming off a national title. Tennessee State is a completely different story. But you already knew that. (Imagine attempting to throw shade by dropping a joke from a decade and a half ago to make yourself feel better.) 45-14 in the rain must still hurt.
  16. Not debating anything you say here but you could have stopped after your first sentence and been just as accurate. Let’s call this what it is.
  17. You’re not very good at this Bob. Notre Dame’s arrogance is well documented and widely known nationally. Their schedule was soft this past season but it is not their fault. Their rivals sucked and they simply out talented everyone. I am not against playing FCS opponents (1 maximum) as I actually think that power five teams that schedule other power fives in the nonconference are dumb. Why in the hell should Notre Dame care what anyone thinks? Due to their brand, if they run the table they are in and 95% of the time or even in with one loss. Let the talking heads debate that nonsense. I will also say that the SEC scheduling them in week 13 is an absolute joke. Back to my actual point though…ND will get positive publicity for this move which is the sole intent. They didn’t just schedule ANY FCS school, they scheduled an HBCU. In 2022, that’s better publicity than scheduling Alabama.
  18. Oh I get it. Just busting your balls. ND’s arrogance prevented them from doing it until now…wonder why. One word: optics
  19. Some truth here but those schools didn’t deserve to be spoken in the same breath with Carmel (they actually still don’t in my opinion). Gotta beat em occasionally. Hell, Carmel even took them off the schedule as time went on. They and CG get the benefit of the doubt due to their trophy cases. They are Indy schools.
  20. Glad to see you back. Carmel’s mega school status has gotten them lumped in with Indy schools since the formation of the MIC in the mid 90s. HSE (eventually Fishers too), CG and Avon were about a decade later and Westfield and Brownsburg roughly a decade after that. Currently, Zionsville and Whiteland are next in line.
  21. HSE got over the MIC/Indy hump a couple of times prior to the 2010s as did Avon. The real breakthrough was obviously Fishers over LC in 2010 at LOS, though it has not been duplicated on a state level since. I really thought the 2015 Avon team that lost a heartbreaker in the semi-state at CG was the next one to do it. As I have mentioned elsewhere, teams have continued to breakthrough in the regular season but will not be taken completely seriously until they do it regularly in late October or November. CG is the great wild card here. They are a suburban school that gets lumped in with the Indy school just due to their prior MIC affiliation. Carmel too really.
  22. Accurate. Indy schools didn’t really take suburban schools seriously until the 2010’s…they were rarely given a reason to.
  23. Solid source.
  24. Some of them might need to suit up in the second half…
  25. Brady Quinn agrees.
