Talk to me more about this “intense 7 on 7 type competition.” Is that really a factor? One of the things I’m hearing is that the brainwashing of football players to be in the weight room or in offseason 7 on 7 camps/workouts is negatively impacting them playing other sports, particularly at the big school level. Track > 7 on 7…it’s not a coincidence that Eric Moore has figured this out and both teams are tops in the state currently.

Gard has a recent history of not exactly running a tight ship/clean program and I thought the coverage was a bit slanted more so than necessary towards Michigan’s guys being “the bad guys” which is sort of understandable. This is a 97%/3% blame game as it relates to Michigan/Wisconsin but listening to ESPN and the bogus statement from the Wisconsin AD makes it seem more so 100%/0%.

I hate agreeing with Izzo but no coach in America gets a longer leash with the refs than Tom.

Many on the university’s board of regents wanted him terminated but Michigan’s AD stuck his neck out there and convinced them to reconsider. That being said, I believe anything closely resembling strike three means they are both packing their bags.

Needs context. He called a TO to get his subs in. Not nearly the same thing. Also want it known that despite being a Michigan fan, I completely acknowledge Howard was in the wrong on this and as a leader of young men has to do better.

Ben Davis can only compete with Carmel in a handful of sports honestly. Not a shot at the Giants because many other schools face the same plight. Both genders of basketball, track and field and football are the ones that immediately come to mind though I could be wrong.

So what did the break up accomplish other than more parity in the conference standings?

I don’t think it was asinine but you can’t have your cake and eat it too. If you truly were “offended” they looked at other conference options, you’d cut bait with them in ALL sports. I mentioned my theory above. The remaining six MIC schools were tired of getting beaten in all three seasons and seized this opportunity to paint themselves as victims. This is about competitiveness and hurt feelings.
