Can someone send me a list of the requirements for the Bucs’ “ring of honor?” Based on my findings it doesn’t sound like a place Warren Sapp should be either. Of course, I’ll get accused of deflecting from the real issue but have we reached the point (I do not condone one thing said by Gruden) where words outweigh actual ACTIONS? If so, a slippery slope.

I will throw in Danville as an outside contender and Mishawaka Marian as a potential spoiler.

Nope.
-
EASILY the most intriguing class as I truly think 4 teams could win it.

Plus it seems to be still within prime “shooting season” in Indy. That usually winds down as the weather cools off but its been unseasonably warm for October. I would not blame a single CG fan (nor Cathedral fan for that matter) one iota for staying home, dry and safe and ponying up for the webcast for this one.

Pay no attention to this guy. Everything is black and white (literally and physically) to him.

Is that smart in your opinion? I know hindsight is 2020 but this game being at the end of the season would give me pause as a head coach. Don’t want to seem spoiled as I love the fact that these two teams are lacing it up but it’s still sort of strikes me as a nothing to gain/everything to lose type of scenario. That being said, and maybe I’m just creating conversation out of nowhere… if you had to pick one of the two, who has a larger margin for error when it comes to the tournament?

I hate to suggest this but with that considered and the much publicized topic of a natural grass field, is there ANY shot one or both coaches play it safe and conservative considering the bigger picture in mind? More specifically, and I will not pretend to know the health status of either club, but if I’ve got a kid with a nagging injury, do I even chance it on Friday night? What do I have to gain other than street cred in some mythical national poll?

That loss last night has the potential to derail the rest of the entire season. I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole thing continues to unravel for the Colts. ESPN FPI had the Colts’ win probability at 98 percent midway through the 4th quarter, lol.

Forget LYRICS. Look up Dre’s checkered past of violence and abuse against women..

My 6A playoff predictions
temptation replied to FBfanatic40's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Sectional 3 is the most compelling in a yawning 6A to me. I could make a case for all 3 teams winning it. Other than that, I think it looks fairly accurate (though I’ll say I predict Warren gets LN again). -
I said the same thing prior to last week and though it could be an aberration, 49 points given up to a winless team is alarming.

22-2 in picking HCC vs HCC contests…(damn you Franklin Central.) Hamilton Southeastern at Brownsburg - Two teams that are going to fall just short of winning the conference title but have high tournament aspirations. HSE is ahead of schedule whereas no 6A team has more to prove this month than Brownsburg. I think this one comes down to the last possession. Gimme Brownsburg 23-20. Noblesville at Avon - Two struggling programs but a difference in how they are struggling. Neither can seen you stop anyone but Noblesville’s offense seems to be stuck in neutral and Avon’s is tearing it up. Avon has been getting closer. This week, they figure it out. Avon wins 41-17. Westfield at Franklin Central - The ‘Rocks get a chance to clinch the outright conference title and should do so with relative ease. FC ran into reality in a backloaded schedule and though they are ahead of schedule, they are going to take this one on the chin. Westfield rolls 34-7. Zionsville at Fishers - Though they pulled it out last week, Zionsville is starting to give me doubts as a 5A north contender. Avon scored at will and had the Eagles on the ropes. Fishers, on the other hand should finish out a very delectable campaign at home, with a close win. Tigers 27-17. What say you?

20-5 picking MIC vs MIC contests heading into the last week of the regular season. Carmel at Lawrence Central - The Hounds seen to be healthy and seem to be figuring out the defensive side of the ball based on recent results. They are likely selling the fact that they were down their starting QB against Center Grove last month as hope for the tournament. LC continues to improve and won’t win this one but can sell a brighter future to their student athletes and community. Carmel wins 37-13. Center Grove at Cathedral - Can’t say much that hasn’t already been said about this monumental matchup. I expect it to be a defensive battle much like last year and will revise my score from another thread as both teams will have to keep their starting defense in for the duration of this one, which is a rarity. I’ll say CG wins it 20-14. North Central at Ben Davis - Feel for the Giants seniors as they are playing this one ON FALL BREAK at 3pm on a Friday afternoon. Though this is a sign of the times, I hope it doesn’t set a precedent. As for the game, there is no program in Indiana that needs a “feel good” game heading into the tournament more so than BD. They’ll get it against a North Central team coming off its first win of the season. BD wins 45-14. Pike at Lawrence North - The Wildcats have had a rough stretch in recent weeks with a backloaded schedule. They’ll get to breathe a little this week and build some momentum heading into the tournament. LN rolls 31-14. What say you?

Eh, didn’t look at the box score. Good call. -

Hate the term “moral victory” but is it possible Brebeuf IMPROVED its standing in terms of being the 3A state title favorite in this one? 21 points against that Irish D is no joke! -
Feel bad for the O’s at this point. Also starting to question how serious Zionsville can be taken. How do you hold Brownsburg to 19 and then turn around and give up 49 to Avon?
-
Pretty standard night in the MIC as the favorites (outside of Pike) took care of business. CG and Carmel broke open their contests in the 2nd quarter whereas BD overcame their late game struggles in putting away a pesky LC team. Anything can happen but it looks like a Carmel/CG collision course in the semi state round (unless Brownsburg can exercise some demons). Side note: Warren now waits TWENTY days until their next contest? Who is to blame for that?

Most improved team in the state?

Anyone at the BD - Carmel Game?
temptation replied to ASJCPUMA's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Correct. Behind the visiting bleachers. Not under the lights. (By the way, not sure what I was thinking. The Giants are at LC Friday. The NC game is the following week. It’ll be played Friday, October 15th at 3pm. Both teams on fall break.) Some senior “night”. Kids, parents and families deserve better. -

Also, let’s get real here. Crimes are more likely to be committed at night but I’m pretty sure but the original crime was outside the stadium in a poorly lit area. A lit up stadium for a 7pm kickoff night as well be daylight WITHIN the stadium. They have metal detectors.
