  1. You mean guys in a winner take all who punt from midfield down 3 possessions with under 10 minutes to go?
  2. 3 Big Ten teams huh?
  3. Fun exercise: Who would have been the four teams this year in the old format? 1. Oregon 2. Georgia 3-4: Notre Dame, Texas, Ohio State, Boise State, Penn State, Indiana, SMU (can only pick 2)
  4. Easy for you to say because ND won. while I agree, the campus atmospheres were electric, the inconsistent criteria which was used to determine seeding has to go. By no means am I saying they would’ve won but I think everyone is in agreement that the 8/9 matchup last night would’ve been entirely different had it been in Knoxville. No reason Penn State should have an easier path than Oregon or Ohio State.
  5. You get that. I get that. But when teams line up across from the Crimson Tide, it’s a big game. Never really even saying they should have gotten in. They had their chances. Just speaking on behalf of blue blood programs bringing out the best in their opposition.
  6. Counterpoint: Bama has been the premier program in America for quite some time now. They are everyone’s big game and will always get everyone’s best shot. Everyone circles the Bama game the day the schedule is released. IU? Eh…
  7. Easier said than done. When you pour 365 days a year into something, it’s hard, especially for 18-22 year old young men.
  8. Ok so let’s start with the term “flag planting” itself. I’d venture to say that 90+% of college football fields use field turf in this day and age so nothing is actually being “planted.” Maybe we need a new term. It is an emotional game and I do not think my program is above reproach but I think celebrating with your teammates, band, fans after the postgame handshake is the way to go. If you wanna do a “flag plant” or some sort of photo at the 50 yard line, you do so once the other team has left the field and is in the locker room. The closest analogy I can come up with is the cutting of the nets after a conference title win or NCAA tournament win in basketball. Shake hands, cheer with your fans and then bring the ladders out once the other team has left the floor. Court storming in college basketball is no different and is actually much more dangerous if you ask me. Being gracious in defeat is only one part of the equation as winning with class also has to mean something. We are so quick to not only win, but rub our opponents’ faces in it and embarrass them. It’s kinda sad honestly. Not saying you can’t show emotion but it I have to watch another WR celebrate a first down when they are down 21 points, I may vomit.
  9. Agree unless you have a major injury.
  10. I’d also like to point out that OSU getting butt hurt about flag planting yet taunting the opposing team during the pre game warm ups when all they were trying to do is get into the locker room is rich… Not to mention lighting cigars on the sideline and playing Rocky Top as the clock winds down… I’d ask them to ask like they’ve been there before but I just remembered…they haven’t. Not as much fun when the monkey has the gun I guess. Michigan was mentioned 27 times during that game last night…
  11. Statement 1 is false.
  12. The mega conferences allow teams to avoid many of the heavy hitters in their conference which inflates their record. Also, I love the environments and those home stadiums, but we need a less subjective process in order to determine seeding. College football home field advantage is like no other and is almost worth 10 points in my opinion. Vegas always gives the hometown three but it’s way more than that in college football. Can’t believe two teams that received a bye this weekend are double digit underdogs next week.
  13. Fear you’re right…hope you’re wrong.
  14. What statement is that? Zero clarity on your part.
  15. Putrid weekend of games. Maybe 4 was enough? Anyways… Penn State -10.5 Texas -13.5 Ohio State -1 Georgia -1.5
  16. The talent discrepancy was wide in most of those years before Harbaugh and really didn’t become equal until 2021/2022. Harbaugh changed the makeup of Michigan’s identity as he has everywhere and built the team from the inside out (in the trenches). OSU is a finesse offense. Never wanted him gone. Just like OSU with Day right now. Who out there is a significant upgrade? Michigan has to win 5 more consecutively for me to have a leg to stand on huh? Sounds fair. Harbaugh must be damn good at cheating to win everywhere.
  17. You’re repeating many of the tropes they use to justify losing to Michigan repeatedly…even the TTUN nonsense. Do you also have an M anywhere in your name that you put a cute little “X” through and challenge nursing home patients to fist fights when they speak poorly about your team? Ryan, is that you?
  18. Not when your flamboyant head coach turtles up, plays not to lose and waves the white flag with 10 minutes to go.
  19. NCAA prez seems to disagree. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/detroit/news/ncaa-president-nobody-can-say-michigan-didnt-win-national-title-fair-and-square/ You sure you aren’t a closet Buckeye fan? You sound a lot like them.
  20. See my post above. Michigan was not good this year…as we are seeing tonight, Ryan Day has a MICHIGAN problem. TTUN = That title up north?
  21. An IU fan citing “best wins” is rich. Yes. They’ve sent a Christmas card to Ryan Day this year. Dude’s ass puckers up tighter than a bull’s ass in fly season when he sees the winged helmets.
  22. “As a result of the big cheater”, lol. The NCAA seems to disagree. Couldn’t have anything to do with losing 18 guys to the NFL, turning over the entire coaching staff, and playing a rigorous schedule, though, could it? I’d be pretty pissed if the team I grew up cheering for as a child and spent over $20 million lost at home to the worst Michigan team in a decade also. One playoff win over INDIANA and the geriatric shows up talking out of his ass.
  23. “Indiana 28 - Notre Dame 20, I think IU will move the ball well against the Irish defense with a couple long pass plays helping out. Defensively, the Hoosiers will stack the box to stop the run and make the Irish QB beat them thru the air. A late defensive stop by the Hoosiers will seal the victory. Having said that, if this game was in Bloomington as it should have been, IU would have won comfortably.” Opinion invalidated.
  24. Hey now, I have donated to the Champions Circle for three straight years. https://www.championscircleuofm.com I’m old enough to remember when Tom Allen won a coach of the year award…
