  1. The pot/kettle graphic above was an attempt to shame me into an admission that I am being hypocritical. Let me be clear, I don’t mind cockiness and arrogance…if it’s warranted. Its not with this clown. He obliterated his schedule because he HAD TO. They mentioned on the broadcast last night, before he had even accepted the job or knew that anyone from JMU would follow him, that IU’s schedule was set up for 10 wins. They needed style points as they ultimately mattered in the end.
  2. I’d buy long simply because of the way that the transfer portal and mega conferences have changed the game. You can revamp your roster overnight and become a much improved team, which IU did. Combine that with the fact that you only see half of your conference and can avoid many of the heavy hitters if the schedule gods are on your side and you have the 2024 Indiana Hoosiers. The bar was so low before Cignetti that this is common sense. When the floor is 3-4 wins and the ceiling is 11 wins, odds say most years you’ll fall in the middle between 6-8 which is one HELL of an accomplishment for Indiana football. Why are you avoiding my statement about Freeman coaching circles around “Google me guy” last night? Do you consider Freeman great?
  3. James Madison is actually a pretty comparable program to Ball State (not sure why you chose them) in terms of recruiting. Not sure what you are trying to say here. Cignetti > Insert BSU coach here? Look, Cignetti is good. He was GREAT at the two lower levels in which he coached but I simply need to see more before I anoint him more than a one year wonder at the power 4 level. Anyone saying otherwise is simply a homer and has wishful thinking. If IU goes 9-3 next year, I’ll concede.
  4. Nah…has inflated his career win percentage against inferior competition and at the lower level. Had two chances this year to back up his talk against legitimate competition and turtled up both times. Got out coached by Ryan Day and Marcus Freeman. Ceiling is 8 wins going forward. Mel Tucker 2.0.
  5. Wouldn’t expect you to understand. I’m not even sure you enjoy football.
  6. My hot air is “championship” hot air. Hope IU/ND fans get to experience it one day. It’s thrilling. Imagine the euphoria ND felt last night, times 4 consecutive Thanksgiving weekends in a row followed by three consecutive conference titles, a Rose Bowl title and a natty.
  7. Nah, it’s all false bravado. Seems to be covering up an inferiority complex and more interested in clicks than I had originally thought. The Big Ten’s version of “Prime.”
  8. We will find out next year. A lot of hot air. Will be interesting to see if last night humbled him. He was out thoroughly out coached by Marcus Freeman…who some ND fans were skeptical about 8 months ago, lol.
  9. Sorry, someone who spends all season talking shit, tries to boast about “top 25 wins” over Coastal Carolina and Nebraska and then punts from the 48 yard line down 17 points with under 8 minutes to go in a playoff game deserves the title. Dude coached that game to not get blown out last night…never intended to win it. Happy to be there.
  10. Good luck to both fan bases tonight…can’t wait for the post game takes (where the losing teams’ fans immediately jump on the winning teams’ bandwagon).
  11. It’s more fun if you guess first. I know you are not an Indy guy, but if you were them who would be your first three calls?
  12. All good points by you...and I am not saying you are wrong. I'd just like to point out that both Jayson West went 4-6 in his last year at Warren, and Mike Kirschner went just 26-19 in his four years at Warren. Both likely Hall of Famers and state championship coaches. Warren is 38-29 since their 2018 state title. Sell me as a Warren supporter on why a first time head coach is going to yield different results than the previous two coaches, both of whom have amazing resumes.
  13. Not trying to be a dick, but what makes you so sure?
  14. Sorry. Wrong thread.
  15. Oh, no doubt. But the starting line for these 10 programs differs vastly from most other jobs around the state. At some places, you just have to have the right guy to keep the train rolling down the tracks, at others you have to build the track, maintain the train, and drive it all once.
  16. While I am confident there have been plenty of "applicants", those seriously taken into consideration were contacted BY Warren...as I understand it.
  17. All three of those jobs you have listed at 2/3/4 are better than Carmel IMO. I'll add in Fishers and HSE and the obvious ones like Cathedral and Chatard also. Here goes: 1. Cathedral 2. Westfield 3. Center Grove 4. Brownsburg 5. Fishers 6. HSE 7. Chatard 8. Carmel 9. Ben Davis 10. Warren Central Just off the top of my head. Things such as where I am in my career, what my goals are, where I live, what my job responsibilities are along with community support, family involvement and of course, SES.
  18. Eh, not sure "applicants" is the right word. Depends on the criteria.
  19. Just keep you phone on...they may be calling you next.
  20. Apparently this isn’t the job people think it is…
