  1. “Scandals”, lol. Give it a rest. Still waiting on that imaginary hammer to drop? Beat OSU and Bama without Jimmy this year…tells you all you should know.
  2. LOL, my man crush pales in comparison to what you and a few other posters have on here for Cignetti. Furthermore, I would argue my man crush is warranted because my guy has actually won something of significance.
  3. Well, he has only won 1 Super Bowl, is the NFL’s longest tenured coach, has won 7 division titles, made 12 playoff appearances and the Steelers have had 18 consecutive non-losing seasons under his leadership. Titles are just one metric.
  4. It’s pretty simple honestly. They all have their preconceived notions about the SEC and make their “picks” before the game (all three studio analysts picked Georgia prior to the coin toss). Rather than go back on their word and admit they were wrong, they save face by giving attention to what the losing team did wrong in an attempt to maintain some sort of credibility. I can’t count on one hand how many times I’ve heard the same narrative go around about the Michigan/Ohio State game since 11/30. ”How did Ohio State lose to THAT Michigan team?” Heard it after the win over Bama too. SEC teams (and Ohio State) don’t get beaten by other teams, they only beat themselves.
  5. Eh, one metric…uneven playing field which is just as close to even as it’s ever been with the NIL era (see this year’s playoff results). Just curious how you view Mike Tomlin of the Steelers?
  6. Got any receipts on Kirschner? Pretty sure you said he’d be successful at Warren too.
  7. Even if the 19k isn’t accurate, it’s a larger following than the “hundreds” of GID posters (most of whom don’t want to be chased around by a geriatric old man begging for change.) Can you at least play the saxophone?
  8. Exception…when playing O$U.
  9. Marcus Freeman after the Sugar Bowl about being one of two Black coaches competing in the Orange Bowl semifinal: "Your color shouldn’t matter. Your evidence of your work should." Liking this guy more and more by the minute…not taking the media’s bait.
  10. Love receipts. You got em?
  11. Lanning/Cignetti…studio gangsters. Masters at the locker room speech/hot mic quote and then turtle up at midfield in winner take all contests.
  12. Add Marcus Freeman to this list.
  13. Thought the same thing.
  14. 45 minutes after his Alma mater wins its biggest game in 30 years and @Bobref still can’t find happiness and pisses out motor oil. (By the way, it was me who called (and still believes) you a racist lefty…don’t hold @Sparty responsible for my character assessment.)
  15. Counterpoint: Zero conference champions, three 2 loss teams and a team that lost to a MAC team? Tell me again that the regular season matters.
  16. Watched two football games today, saw one coach (Kenny Dillingham) who dragged his nuts across the field turf and had ballsy call (fake punt, half back pass) after ballsy call… Saw another coach (Dan Lanning), waive the white flag on two occasions in the second half and choose to punt on 4th and short, down 3 possessions. Lanning and Curt Cignetti should take notes and attend a Kenny Dillingham course on how to let your balls hang out when your season is on the line.
  17. Gotta ugly it up, be able to compete in the trenches and play keep away… Oregon isn’t built that way unfortunately.
  18. Eh, not sure I would go that far. Motivation just cannot be measured when predicting non CFP bowl games. Michigan has depth but not Bama/UGA/OSU depth. That’s why yesterday’s result was so shocking to me. Michigan was much improved on the defensive side of the ball but their offense was putrid.
  19. Eh, I mean taking over for a legend is never easy and usually ends up in failure. Bama fans are also pretty damn spoiled. Yesterday’s result shocked me. Michigan sat 10 starters and could once again not complete a forward pass to save their lives. The grinded it out and controlled the tempo. These bowl games don’t tell the whole story as motivation levels, opt outs, etc are variables that affect the result. Last year when UGA missed the playoff, they were on a mission to prove they belonged and poor Florida State was the sacrificial lamb. That’s what I expected from Bama yesterday.
  20. I’ve got one foot on board with your Cignetti/DeBoer argument after what I witnessed yesterday.
  21. Today HAS to be the day we finally get a competitive CFP game right?
  22. Yeah, I do. Just like the debate. Question however, had Saban started and finished his college coaching days at MSU, would he have had the same success as he ended up having at LSU/Bama? Why did he have so much more success in Baton Rouge and Tuscaloosa than he did in East Lansing and Miami?
  23. What a cushy path to the semi final. Boy was I wrong about Boise. Moment was too big.
  24. 1. How did Saban do once NIL was introduced and everyone could legally pay players? 2. How did Saban do in the NFL?
  25. You’re so easy to bait… Alexa: “Which coach defeated Nick Saban in 2024 and sent him into retirement?” Answer: “Jim Harbaugh.”
