  1. Good stuff. My take (from afar) on a couple… Just seems that Carmel has reached a tipping point. There is no excuse for their last two blowout losses as they should be a top 5-10 program annually at minimum. Speculation is what we do on this forum but I think it has to be some sort of culture problem. Not sure if that falls on the head coach or not but I think it’s pretty obvious. It’s going to be difficult for him to survive without some sort of tournament magic next month. They still dominate the country club sports athletically, but have become mediocre in the ball sports over the last couple of years. I still can’t take Brownsburg seriously until I see it in November. I know that may seem shortsighted as each season it is a new team, but I’m afraid to stick my neck out and make bold predictions about this team because they always seem to step on a rake somehow. I’m torn on whether or not those regular season escapes against Westfield, Noblesville, and Fishers will make them better in the tournament or are signs that they are vulnerable. Time will tell. I have been as bullish on Lawrence North as anyone if you go back and read my posts from this summer. Not taking some sort of victory lap because even I did not predict this. I thought that they could challenge Cathedral for the sectional title, but thought that would be their ceiling. Their speed and athleticism just jumps off the screen when I watch them play. Even though I suggested that Center Grove may be ripe for the picking in a separate thread I think anyone counting the Trojans out is doing so at a great risk. Moore will have his team ready as always and they are the “anti-Brownsburg.” You know you’re getting their best version in the tournament and have revenge on their minds as they should get a shot at either Cathedral or LN and possibly Westfield eventually. All I know is, since I have been a part of this forum I have been begging for parity in 6A, and I finally feel like it’s here!
  2. Was speaking more to the discrepancy in the type of gameplay, but I’ll take your word for it.
  3. I’ve asked each one of those questions, many very recently… I am not attacking you nor Snider by the way. Please don’t be so sensitive.
  4. So, we’ve sorta conceded that Carroll is going to eliminate Snider in a potential tournament rematch, making it 5 of the last 6 for the Chargers? Sorry, that’s a trend.
  5. 49-42 over Valpo and a 7-3 loss to Elkhart…what’s this tell us?
  6. And guys not named Sullivan are 2-0?
  7. Lemme be clear that I’ve talked about this relationship for quite sometime but was never seriously on board with this being used to classify teams. It explains a lot and critics on here are always quick to point out the outliers.
  8. Sullivan a 5th year senior?
  9. C’mon now. I have too much respect for Snider for you to claim “moral victories” on their behalf.
  10. https://www.in.gov/doe/files/school-enrollment-ethnicity-and-free-reduced-price-meal-status-2006-24.xlsx Unless you have a significant enrollment advantage…
  11. Yeah, but 4 out of 5 is much more damning and a reflection of a trend in my opinion. Seems like similar to what’s happening here in Indy. Folks were in denial when Brownsburg started beating Ben Davis… Folks were in denial when Center Grove started beating Warren Central…
  12. So part of his statement is true. Carroll has surpassed Snider just as not been able to take the next step.

  14. Heavy favorite? Wow. Not willing to go that far. Let’s lay some percentages on each region. I’ll start. North: Westfield - 35% Crown Point - 20% HSE - 15% Fishers - 15% Carroll - 10% Field - 5% South: Lawrence North - 25% Brownsburg - 25% Cathedral - 20% Center Grove - 15% Warren - 10% Field - 5% What say you?
  15. Am I mistaken in stating that Carroll has won 4 of the last 5 against Snider?
  16. Yep. “Rookie” shouldn’t seem so bad compared so some of the names being called in this thread. Yikes man.
  17. Rookie. Everyone knows you go 10.5 and 14.5 on those wagers…😉
  18. Thought I would get it started 24 hours after the draw. Feel free to add your thoughts… A few storylines? 1. Can Penn provide any resistance to Crown Point in Sectional 1? 2. Collision course between Snider and Carroll in Sectional 2? Can the Panthers put up a better fight this time? 3. Can Carmel rebound and become the team that put a scare into Westfield in week 2 or do the Shamrocks cruise? 4. Sectional 4 is likely the most balanced and you could make an honest case for 3 teams to win it. 5. Brownsburg is on the clock again. BD is playing better. Nothing to worry about in Sectional 5, right? 6. A potential Cathedral/LN matchup in the Sectional 6 final has the potential to be the game of the second weekend. 7. Could Warren’s freshman team win Sectional 7? Hearing the first round matchup between Warren/Tech has been relocated to Warren but unsure of the reason. Could this affect the location of the regional? 8. Is Center Grove finally vulnerable in Sectional 8? Both FC and CN have been hot as of late whereas the Trojans have dropped 3 games for the first time since 2019 and their 13 game sectional championship streak is on the line. http://scoreboard.homestead.com/football/24hsfb.pdf
