  1. I light a fire, step away, come back and have more hits than any other user on this site. You’re all really too easy. @PHJIrish gets it. The hilarious part is this all started because I had to audacity to call Cignetti “good” and not “great” based on his resume thus far.
  2. And you pay to follow this chihuahua around these boards daily giving tiny mosquito bites disguised as insults while claiming I don’t matter to you. You drive my ratings.
  3. This would make @gonzoron the fire hydrant.
  4. I’m more resilient than DT who you all drove away from here…
  5. The bigger question is what if Cignetti doesn’t commit to IU? If he’s as great as all the fan boys on this thread proclaim, he will be poached by a better program with deeper pockets.
  6. Heard that in 2020. In fact, I still have my Phil Steele, Lindy and Athlon preview magazines from the fall of 2021 where it was a consensus proclamation that "IU was now the Big Ten's Biggest Threat to Ohio State."
  7. Eh, could happen. I'm content. I watch football differently after last year. A national title has bought me a few years of satisfaction. One team is 4-1 and is in transition after losing 15 guys to the NFL and the other is set to erect a statue for being 5-0 with a high quality win over Maryland. I'd actually be sort of happy for the Hoosiers if it happened in a weird way. Before reading this thread, I actually didn't mind most IU fans. They have suffered long enough.
  8. Certainly you aren't comparing power 5 jobs like Stanford and Michigan State to JAMES MADISON with a straight face? If so, I KNOW you are trolling.
  9. You misspelled pit bull.
  10. Sherrone woke up the morning of the Penn State game, ate breakfast, rode the team bus to Beaver Stadium and was informed an hour before kickoff he was the acting head coach… Blowout win. Sherrone’s fourth game as acting head coach was the greatest rivalry in all of sports… Win. Sherrone called the drive of his life to lift Michigan to overtime over Alabama in the Rose Bowl. Cignetti beat a Maryland team that’s gonna win 5 games.
  11. Still bringing zero substance to the boards I see. Tiring and boring.
  12. Cignetti has wins over Penn State and Ohio State on his resume? Damn, must’ve missed that. Can I also use Sherrone’s OL/assistant playcalling days? I’m not saying you’re completely wrong but I am willing to have the debate.
  13. I can get on board with this. Sort of like another guy mentioned in this thread. You a fan of Prime?
  14. Even with schedule strength? Interesting. What’s Cignetti’s signature FBS win?
  15. Quick forum poll: How many in the “fan of Cignetti” camp also like Prime at Colorado? Same guy, same schtick…
  16. Just a fan of boasting once you’ve accomplished something. That’s the difference between you and I, I guess. James Madison and a handful of wins over teams whose seasons will end before December is cute and all and I am happy for the “fans” in Bloomington but as I said, let’s pump the brakes. My 2026 prediction could still come true…I mean the 2020 NATIONAL COACH OF THE YEAR was let go 4 years later after all.
  17. So translate that to the next two levels for me. Is a guys win loss record at a 1A school comparable to someone’s at a 6A school? Can a guy like Cignetti seriously be compared to someone who has been in the power 5 for his entire career? See, herein lies my problem…Cignetti talks like he is Nick Saban…despite having 2.5 years of FBS head coaching experience.
  18. Just so we are clear, what is the criteria/winning percentage in which is becomes acceptable to talk out of your ass and at what level must that success be attained? Can middle school football coaches cite their win loss record and flex whenever they wish?
  19. You’re gonna be really disappointed… https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/detroit/news/ncaa-president-nobody-can-say-michigan-didnt-win-national-title-fair-and-square/
  20. So lemme get this straight… Michigan’s schedule was a joke in 2023… Michigan suspended its “sign stealer” after 7 games (0 of which were against ranked teams). Michigan goes 8-0 with five wins against top 15 teams (4 top 10) AFTER the suspension… Why is it overshadowed?
  21. Eh, every fanbase has a pod of fans that take on a particular characteristic. Now YOU are the one painting with a broad brush. If anything, the Rich Rod era humbled me and made me enjoy the Harbaugh years (you know, when everyone wanted him fired despite winning 10 games) even more. There are three sets of fans on this forum (Purdue, IU, Notre Dame) and even Rich Rod had little trouble with those three in Michigan's worst years. You HATE Michigan so much that you just can't let this go. It's pretty sad. You've been wrong ever since 2021 and disappeared which gave me hope you had sought help for your derangement syndrome, but here we are. I have wasted enough words on you already. You'll continue to slang insults, but until the 12 team playoff is complete in mid-January, Michigan is still the champs. This eats you alive...and is adorable. I don't even know what this means. Can you translate?
  22. Yes, I do. That’s internal locker room motivation, not some sound byte when you are behind a microphone or being interviewed. Coaches say different things behind closed doors/in the locker room, but you know that. Don’t be so dense.
  23. “Up until last season…”, lol… Gotta love the disclaimer.
  24. Huge advantage to whomever draws NC.
  25. @Bash Riprock @Footballking16 I own real estate in their heads. Surely, you can relate. (No, seriously though…when you are the KINGS of the sport, you’re on everyone’s mind.)
