  1. They will look for any way possible to put Bama in, for this I am convinced. I may need to shower in bleach Sunday morning because I am rooting for Notre Dame AND Brian Kelly simultaneously Saturday night.
  2. No, but may fewer “gritty kids” (if Carmel has many) are going out for football? Carmel is most well known for its success in country club sports…
  3. Concussion moms? No, seriously I think Carmel may actually have gotten too big for itself. The fanbase seems disinterested and the disconnect between the football program and fan attendance shows. I joked that they may have gotten bored with winning but that was sort of tongue-in-cheek. As far as SES, is there a point where it is actually too low, which hurts a sport like football that depends on a certain type of player?
  4. 26. Lafayette Jefferson 27. Kokomo 28. Southridge 29. Andrean 30. Plainfield 31. Martinsville 32. Owen Valley 33. Warsaw 34. Indianapolis Lutheran 35. Boonville 36. Evansville Memorial 37. Columbia City 38. Indianapolis Scecina 39. Triton Central 40. Valparaiso 41. Norwell 42. Chesterton 43. Lawrenceburg 44. Leo 45. Linton-Stockton 46. Evansville Mater Dei 47. Hobart 48. Eastside 49. Guerin Catholic 50. Castle
  5. Eh, got lucky. A big believer in experience and I think Gilbert is one hell of a coach.
  6. I received word from an NCC source whom I trust dearly that Tech was a disaster in the NCC. They didn't even field full squads in over half of the sports so there were very few JV/freshmen contests. Tech joining the MIC would not only not elevate the conference, it would do the opposite.
  7. Let me clarify. Seconded until the last sentence. I am all in on Westfield coming out of the north.
  8. New quarterback…same terrible line, same sketchy red zone play calling.
  9. Or the best teams actually playing in Indy on Thanksgiving weekend and not in the sectional/regional round… So sick of the word bias when facts are laid out for all to see.
  10. Not heavy by any means. BD has 3-4 next level guys and is coming off an undefeated JV season.
  11. I know it was against a piss poor Southport team but Warren looks like a different team with this new quarterback. If Franklin Central can hang with CG, Warren should enter that game with tons of confidence.
  12. No one knows until all of the transfer portal nonsense is official. Cathedral, though they have the number one recruit in the country lost their most valuable player last year in Comer. He will be hard to replace.
  13. They debut this Tuesday. Fairly clear cut but at this point if I had to guess. 1. Georgia 2. Tennessee 3. Ohio State 4. Michigan 5. Clemson 6. TCU 7. Alabama 8. USC 9. Oregon 10. UCLA I know this might not be a very popular opinion but I see no path for Oregon to get into the top four. If so, something seriously needs to be reevaluated. Teams obviously improve but you can’t convince me that one of the four best teams in the country is 46 points worse than another team. Kansas Stare rolling Oklahoma State yesterday improves TCU’s profile which is why I gave them the edge over Alabama. What a great weekend of football next week!!! Clemson/ND Tennessee/Georgia Alabama/LSU
  14. 1. Michigan 2. Ohio State 3. Penn State 4. Illinois 5. Maryland 6. Wisconsin 7. Purdue 8. Minnesota 9. Iowa 10. Michigan State 11. Nebraska 12. Rutgers 13. Indiana 14. Northwestern
  15. Haha, yep. The OSU/Michigan loser should get in with 1 loss over a 1 loss Clemson unless “the game” is a blowout. Still gotta take care of business first though.
  16. Whiteland is intriguing as they will be Westfield in enrollment in the next few years and 3000+ by the middle of the next decade, if not sooner. That one wouldn’t pay off for years as Whiteland couldn’t compete week in and week out, but neither could New Pal. Decatur matches from an SES standpoint but really does nothing to add prestige to the conference. They are basically Pike without the enrollment. I also wonder how other sports play factor. Football is likely king at all three schools mentioned but could they compete with the top MIC schools in the other sports?
