  1. Wasn’t implying they were. Just stating that the two conferences have really beaten one another up and thus not been able to climb the rankings.
  2. SIAC and Mid-State are crapshoots. Lots of parity. I’ve got Reitz (HM) (#33 overall). I’ve got Jasper (HM) (#41 overall). I’ve got Memorial (HM) (#50 overall).
  3. Not to beat a dead horse but Roncalli had the benefit of some late season measuring stick contests whereas New Pal’s were all in August. No fault of theirs. Hell, I have so much respect for both programs but I actually moved East Central UP in my rankings based on how they played Roncalli. The best part is that we will likely get to see this one settled on the field in what could shape up to be the game of the tournament.
  4. Hamilton Southeastern Brownsburg Cathedral Center Grove Roncalli New Palestine Westfield Ben Davis Fishers Carmel Carroll (Fort Wayne) Fort Wayne Snider Lawrence Central East Central Penn Crown Point Warren Central Merrillville Fort Wayne North Whiteland Gibson Southern Bishop Chatard NorthWood West Lafayette New Prairie
  5. Mel Tucker better donate some of his salary to Kenneth Walker.
  6. Avon @ Noblesville: The Orioles got one in the win column last week against Zionsville while the Millers continue to struggle. I think Avon makes it two in a row. Orioles win 27-21. Brownsburg @ Hamilton Southeastern: The matchup all have waited for is here and the conference title is on the line. Kudos to both teams staying focused. I’ll take the Royals here in a small upset 27-24. Fishers @ Zionsville: What has happened in Boone County? After looking like they were rounding into form last month, the Eagles have hit a road block. Fishers lost to a Westfield team not ready to hand over its northern 6A supremacy just yet. Fishers wins here 30-17. Franklin Central @ Westfield: Rumors of the Shamrocks’ step back may have been over exaggerated and they may actually be the sectional 4 favorite. FC has improved but not enough to reach the upper half of this conference. Shamrocks make a statement here. 34-14.
  7. The final week of the schedule has some juicy matchups. Ben Davis @ North Central: After sleep walking through the first half, the Giants dropped 29 unanswered points to stun LC and position themselves for a outright MIC title with a win over lowly North Central. Won’t be a problem. BD wins 42-7. Cathedral @ Center Grove: A possible semi state preview has some asking the annual question of “will we see both teams’ full playbook” with bragging rights being the only thing at stake. This is about as close to a coin flip game as you can get in my opinion. Can’t wait. I’ll go with the Irish in what some might consider a slight upset. 20-17 Cathedral. Lawrence Central @ Carmel: Interested in the mindset of these two teams as LC blew a FOUR touchdown lead with the conference title at stake and Carmel looked stuck in the mud against Warren. More impressed with LC this season but think Carmel finds a way. Hounds 23-20. Lawrence North @ Pike: This one could be sneaky good as both of these teams have showed flashes but also laid eggs. I will stick with the Wildcats on the road 27-17. Warren Central @ Christian Brothers (MO): I think I’ve been wrong about Warren every damn week so this should give Warren fans promise. Don’t know a ton about CBC other than second hand accounts but they are littered with power 5 talent and have a playmaker committed to ND. They score in bunches. Long bus ride home for WC. CBC wins 38-21.

  9. They’ll definitely play their way in if they can beat Columbia City this Friday. Both of those teams are on the fringe.
  10. Bold to say they’ll have the last word on Thanksgiving weekend.
  11. No head scratchers for Westfield/Fishers in the right hand column. Quality losses. Warren and Carmel too inconsistent for me. Never know what you’re getting. Rewarding the HCC teams in this instance. They nearly made my HM list. Came down to them, Linton and Triton Central.
  12. Kokomo - HM (#32) Splitting hairs IMO. That was a damn fine team Roncalli nearly nipped last night. New Pal simply naming their score at this point. Not their fault.

  14. Gotta reward the "little guy" every once in a while. EVERYONE knew Cincinnati was going to get clobbered in the CPF last year but they still earned the right to be there. I refuse to just shuffle around the same 6A MIC/HCC schools weekly. Eventually, you've gotta win games. Based on what I have seen, Warren's QB would gift NorthWood the ball 2-3 times. Might be more competitive than you'd think.
  15. I also see your point of view but at some point you have to win games and beat decent teams. I mean, I felt guilty putting LN (3-4) on there with a losing record but they gave BD all they could handle and beat Warren. Couldn't make room for them both. Warren will get two opportunities to prove their way back into the rankings this month.
  16. I mean, I like the guy but he seems to outthink the room at times.
  17. Unless Jeff Brohm gets in the way...
  18. Never apologize for an ugly win. NEVER. PJ’s boat was full of overconfidence once they became ranked…dude (like Tom Allen) has great mottos and one liners but with little substance to back them up. They might still be the best team out west but that’s not saying much.
  19. This has become an exercise in futility. It's run its course. Good luck to New Pal.
  20. Never offended my man. Just calling out hypocrisy when I see it. So is Roncalli too low BECAUSE they don't have a passing game? I don't get it. Outraged was probably the wrong term on my part. I mistook your passion for outrage due to the length of your posts which are often cyclical in nature. One moment you are nitpicking every aspect of the rankings, the next you post your own rankings which are eerily similar and the third the rankings don't matter. Which is it? Also, sorry for the personal "attack". I just realized how it might be easy to connect some of the dots on your prior posts after reading the tea leaves on your most recent ones. I understand its a personal issue and no one on here needs to know or is privy to knowing, but you were extremely vague about your family's decision to transfer and then in the posts following that vagueness, you speak negatively about the coaching staff at your family's former school. I am ready to move on and do apologize for the way I have come across. We are all here for the same reason. We love the sport and are passionate. But at the end of the day, we are all human and its just a game played by kids.
  21. That I can see. Great point. Just feel like most successful head coaches these days are known for their offensive innovation/genius. I could be wrong there however. Being a successful DC has never been harder in the sport in my opinion.
