  1. Looks like Crown Point/Valpo is still on. Gonna take advantage of the game I was attending being postponed and check out these two on IHSAATV.
  2. Their game against Decatur Central was called at 21-21 due to thunderstorms. Never made up.
  3. I mean, eventually you gotta win games right? The best thing on Merrillville’s resume is a loss to Crown Point and the best thing on Valpo’s is a loss to Penn?
  4. And Kyle gets paid to do this…
  5. "Threat to democracy."
  6. Can somebody help me on Valpo and Merrillville here? Valpo hasn't really beaten anyone of note and lost to what ended up being an overvalued Penn team. Merrillville got blasted at home in their only test of the year. Meanwhile, Mishawaka (who blew out Penn) is unranked.
  7. Not quite there yet but if you’re asking me to choose between Eric Moore, John Hart and Josh Miracle (probably unfair even include him here in his first year) in November, I am going with Moore every time unless there is a large gap in talent discrepancy… I don’t believe there is and am unsure I can get hurt by the HCC again.
  8. Nothing more than a whim honestly. I’ll own it Saturday morning if I am wrong. Westfield had to clear the Carmel hurdle last year and the Brownsburg one is next…just a matter of when. They have the state’s best win thus far, the week 1 road win over CG…they will not be intimidated by the environment if I had to guess. John Hart is 6-2 against the Rocks.
  9. I have a saved PM from you that states otherwise, but oh well. I'll move on. I mean, looking at the final score Friday night, it could be inferred that it was a "good football game" but my eyes told me differently. It was a pillow fight that neither team wanted to seize control of.
  10. Dude, you dislike me so much you took offense to me COMPLIMENTING your favorite program, lol. You don’t even know me or what I’ve watched or been a part of…doesn’t stop you though.
  11. Nah, no real skin honestly, crazy people in this world (a couple on this very forum)...don't trust em.
  12. Not sure why it matters, but ok.
  13. Not a chance Jon. Nice try though.
  14. I'll do it when I am ready...and when you start actually contributing substance to the forum. So much for having me blocked and not engaging with me huh?
  15. You are showing your age..."women's best skills are cooking and cleaning" coming next?
  16. Fishers @ Avon: Starting to seem like the Pike loss was an anomaly as the Tigers showed pride and had Brownsburg on the ropes last week. Avon, whose win over BD is looking less and less impressive with each passing week, simply seems outmanned in this brutal league. Fishers rolls 27-14. Franklin Central @ Noblesville: Had higher expectations for both of these teams this season. Not surprised they are not in the top half/tier, but just surprised it seems that there is still a significant gap after that top tier. I will take the Millers at home. Noblesville wins 24-13. Westfield @ Brownsburg: The biggie. Both of these teams are battle tested and worthy of their ranking. Last season, Brownsburg rolled into Westfield in a much anticipated matchup and dominated in a game that was over by halftime. Westfield in an upset here. 'Rocks win a thriller 27-24. Zionsville @ Hamilton Southeastern: Worried about the outlook for Zionsville after the opening season loss to Pike...but then saw what Pike was capable of. The Eagles can keep this one close, but this is the case of a team wanting to be above .500 at the end of the year (Zionsville) and a team with state title aspirations (HSE). Royals win 37-21. What say you?
  17. Carmel @ North Central: This game could not have come at a better time on the schedule for the 'Hounds who are reeling after two consecutive losses. NC will provide some good medicine for them. Carmel wins 38-0. Lawrence Central @ Center Grove: Kudos to LC for keeping CG on the schedule even though they have been bullied by the Trojans 6 straight times, many in blowout fashion. The Bears are respectable and CG's game was closer than I thought it'd be last week. Which team shows up? I say close for a half and CG pulls away after that. CG wins 34-14. Lawrence North @ Ben Davis: The future of the MIC vs the past? The Wildcats spent more time getting dressed last week than they did playing as their blowout over Tech was called early. BD let one get away on the road at Warren and is in real danger of falling to 1-5 after their state title last season. This is the kind of game I could see BD playing their best this season. I will go with the same blueprint as above. Close for a half and LN pulls it out late. Wildcats win 30-17. Warren Central @ Pike: I am going to use a term I hate here: TRAP game. The de facto MIC title game between LN/Warren is next week and I could see the Warriors looking ahead. Pike is just good enough to make this one interesting as it'll be interesting to see which Red Devils squad shows up. Warren squeaks one out here, 20-14. What say you?
  18. 117th SOS.
  19. A sad existence you live Ron. Should be outside playing with your great grand kids but you appointed yourself message board grammar police on a zero dollar an hour salary.
  20. Also, you (like Easter) have skin in the game when it comes to these programs and choose your words wisely. You default to “coach speak” and cringe at what the modern day shock jock and sports media guys seem “bulletin board material.” I have zero skin in the game, call it like I see it, am right more often than I am wrong and for some odd reason it pisses you guys off to no end. Pretty hilarious honestly.
  21. So you didn’t watch the game…got it.
  22. Because your three letter response was agreeing to the notion that the poor play was due to it being a “heated rivalry game.” Then I give a handful of examples where the better team (similar to Warren > BD) in 2024 dominated a “heated rivalry game” and you want to change the story to my inability to let things go? I give you credit on this post though. You seem to be coming around on what really happened Friday night.
  23. Who in the hell said the game didn't mean anything? I was just standing up to the notion that the piss poor play had little to do with any "heated rivalry" or "bad blood." An undisciplined team WILL NOT beat CG. I am not sure why everyone in here is so bought into coach speak and afraid to speak realistically. Did you even watch this game? Warren threw an interception on the opening play of OT and all BD would have needed was a FG Bash. I am not even sure I am running it three times. Hell, I might kick on first down.
  24. Gladly. Look, I know you have a vested interest in protecting one of (if not both due to your loyalty to Kirschner) the programs being discussed in this thread which is why you are so vague with you analysis. You said so yourself. So I expand on your vague analysis of the game (which I believe deep down you agree with) and you resort to non-sensical, passive aggressive insults? Look, I watched every play of this game and felt like a laugh track being played in the background would have been appropriate. (Also, when Ronnie is giving you likes, you know you are on the wrong side of the argument...) Good luck to the Giants (and your boy Kirschner) for the rest of this season. Just don't let my analysis hurt your feelings so much Jon.
  25. Not the flex you think it is. Interceptions thrown directly between the numbers of defensive backs, coaching malpractice and 150+ combined penalty yards have nothing to do with the contest being a "heated rivalry." Unless something changes drastically, CG is licking its chops for the chance to play one, if not both of these two in the tournament. Moore's teams don't beat themselves.
