  1. Kinda tired of this story honestly and everyone's mind is already made up but I will post anyway. Interesting listen...specifically beginning at the 18 minute mark.
  2. I think LN has the highest ceiling of any team in 6A but definitely has some things to clean up.
  3. Yep. Miss me with the comparison though. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Don’t care one way or another what people do in their homes but the smell of both make give me nausea.
  4. It smells bad and I should have the right to breathe fresh air in my community. Every time I visit surrounding states that have passed legalization, I can't escape it, especially in major cities. Couldn't care less about the crime data nor poor alcohol analogies.
  5. That's awesome. Doesn't seem that "weak strength of schedule" he played in high school had much of an impact huh? 😉
  6. Glad to have you back Captain! Been a while! How's "Son of Captain" doing these days?
  7. I’ll add “good Fishers.” Out on Carroll?
  8. Or maybe it’s just a pool of mediocrity after the top 6-7 teams…next few weeks will tell.
  9. He had to have meant Reitz MEMORIAL. Common mistake.
  10. I mean Fishers lost to Pike and FC but beat HSE. We could do this all day.
  11. I channel flip weekly and watch parts of games to be honest. It’s an impossible task, you are right. No different that anyone who compiles a poll.
  12. You’re not wrong about Warren, I just cannot fathom any of those teams slotted right behind them to beat them head to head at this point. I think there is a bit of a gap after Warren. The real question is Fishers. They look like a top ten team one week but have two head scratchers (Pike and FC). I think they’d have the best shot at beating Warren out of those teams in the teens.
  13. On the door step. The Plymouth loss gave me pause.
  14. 1. Not bragging but I think anyone with a pulse and lack of bias saw that LN/Warren game coming from a mile way. 2. Maybe subconsciously I’m bumping New Pal. Love their culture and coaching staff and I think they are as close to their late 2010s runs as they have been. Making things look easy. 3. Decatur Central (as mentioned elsewhere on the forum) is extremely polarizing and unpredictable. They are a legit title contender one week and a head scratcher of a program a week later. Their early season loss to CN was a surprise at the time but CN has turned out to be pretty damn good. They had a brain fart against Martinsville but I think they win that game 7-8 out of 10 times. Dare I call them “Brownsburg lite?”

  16. Hey, I’m out on this topic since you can’t stay on topic. Done taking your bait. Cignetti is a “successful clown.” That’s all you’ll get from me. Both can be true. Good luck to the Hoosiers tomorrow. Never thought I’d be in a position to root against em but here we are.
  17. Yep. And the sad part about some of the folks in this thread is that they’ll tune in and root harder for Michigan to lose this Saturday night than they will for IU to win Saturday afternoon. I see it all the time with MSU fans. There is a reason why Michigan football usually boasts 4-5 of the top 15 watched games annually…and after Detroit the second biggest market is always Columbus.
  18. Yep, and plenty of “clowns” are “good” football coaches. Cignettii is the guy who walks into the weight room with a big jug of protein powder, $500 worth of work out clothes, expensive headphones and then lifts 2 pound dumb bells for about 10 minutes then spends 45 minutes taking pictures of himself in the mirror. You probably know someone like that I’d imagine. Sorry for unselling the mighty Panthers.
  19. It’s a helluva world…
  20. PLEASE show me where I said a coach has to win a national championship in order to be “great.” You’re putting words in my mouth and trying to shape YOUR narrative now which is exactly what you accused me of above. Plenty of coaches whom I would consider “great” who’ve never won a title. Brian Kelly, Kyle Whittingham, Kalen DeBoer just off the top of my head. Could lost more that are on the verge too. Cignetti isn’t there yet. Not even close honestly. Harbaugh was already a member of the “great” fraternity before last year’s title. He won in the pros also which only a handful of college coaches have pulled off. Michigan has a money cannon and it’s fair share of boosters, yes but they are nowhere near the level of the SEC/OSU in their approach, particularly from an admissions standpoint. Simply put: They will not participate in pay for play. That’s the difference.
  21. I’m not sure what your question has to do with the topic but I would not say “no” with absolute certainly. When Saban was at MSU, the BCS was the path to the title. Just gotta win one playoff game and no conference title game. I lean “no” because Saban succeeded and became a HOF coach once he went to Bama. Failed in the NFL too. The SEC was cutting edge on what is now called “NIL” before it was legal. Harbaugh took Stanford from the depths of despair to a BCS bowl win but no farther. He won big at Michigan EVENTUALLY but was not elite overnight. Michigan is a blue blood, top 10-15 job but as we are finding out this year, it’s not OSU, Bama or Georgia where you just reload annually. It’s NIL approach just doesn’t align with the SEC schools/OSU. I lean “no” also but would not say it’s impossible.
  22. A big LN win on Friday night and I think I am ready to elevate em into my top 3.
  23. I mean, when personal insults become the norm and go ignored because you happen to agree with their opinion over mine, I am not sure what other word you'd like me to use. You've been respectful but I cannot say the same for others. You might wanna scroll up and check a few other threads unless your head is in the sand. Attacking the post and the poster's opinion...sure. Attacking the poster? Over the line. Now back to the question... As a high school coach, you have a middle school quarterback in your district that tears it up in 8th grade games...leads the team to a respectable 75% winning percentage...(Cignetti at IUP). That same quarterback then becomes the freshman starter the next year at your high school and leads the freshman team to a 61% winning percentage...(Cignetti at Elon). His sophomore year, he continues to evolve and becomes the JV starter and the team wins 85% of its games (Cignetti at James Madison). In the summer leading up to his junior year, said quarterback is in line to be the varsity starter and before taking his first varsity snap begins running his mouth about how great he is and how he's gonna run roughshod through the schedule (Cignetti at Indiana). The kid is playing 6A football now, but his schedule is loaded with 1A/2A teams. This is no different. The jury is still out on Cignetti's ability to win at the Power 5 level. Anyone in denial of that is simply a homer. Now, only two people have answered my question. Are you Cignetti homers also fans of Prime? If not, why? What are the differences? Prime won at JACKSON STATE, talked out of his rear end (and continues to do so) and has accomplished next to nothing at the power 5 level. Not saying the book is complete but both still have something to prove. Cignetti isn't a self promoter? "Google me."
  24. Nah, you have confused fire starter and click bait. I only post fire starters which I believe to be true and to think that I suggested earlier in this thread that Cignetti was simply a "good coach", should shut up until he has paid his dues in the power 5 and that folks still needed to maintain a "wait and see" attitude and was attacked says it all. THAT was my "clownish opinion." This dude is Prime on steroids. Best defense they have played is ranked 90th (Maryland), UCLA is 98th and Charlotte is 120th. Plus two FCS wins. Glad IU is better and relevant but I maintain my stance.
  25. Yet here you are. Like the girlfriend that breaks up with her boyfriend but doesn't delete his contact info from her phone.
