  1. I included Carmel and Center Grove in my data…it’s over man.
  2. Upon joining these boards about a half decade ago, I claimed the MIC was on borrowed time and that the HCC would be the superior conference in the future. Many users were in denial, some were on board and questioned when. Well, I am here to declare that on this 29th day of October in the year 2022, it is official. The torch has been passed. Even while still allowing the MIC to claim Carmel and Center Grove (and once again let’s not kid ourselves and go down that rabbit hole), the HCC put the icing and the cherry on top with last night’s sectional performances. For the season, the HCC was 10-3 against the MIC with Avon suffering two and Franklin Central suffering one of the losses. But can they do it in the playoffs? Yes. Brownsburg 48-20 on the road over MIC “champion” Ben Davis. Westfield 28-9 on the road over Carmel. Center Grove went into a mid pack HCC squad in Franklin Central and barely escaped 14-10. Avon went on the road and defeated Pike. The HCC has 6 teams left, the MIC 3. Still more chances too as three MIC teams are left on Brownsburg’s side of the bracket and an HCC team could come out of the north. Mic drop…pun intended.

  5. I'd argue they are perfectly placed. They were beaten by both Snider and Carroll by single digit margins.
  6. Yeah, those three teams are really close in my book. Crown Point's win over Merrillville has lost some of its luster so they have steadily dropped (I think I had them has high as 11/12 at one point) but it is no fault of their own. Warren is the most baffling team in the state to me.
  7. Because they took a knee in the red zone? Tell me you didn't watch the game without telling me you didn't watch the game.
  8. https://nypost.com/2022/10/25/hillary-clinton-gop-has-plan-to-literally-steal-2024-election/ Quick question: Why is one political party allowed to question/deny election results and its acceptable while the other doing so immediately makes them a "threat to democracy?" So much for "Jim Eagle/Jim Crow 2.0." https://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/georgia-early-voting-numbers-record-first-week-midterm-election
  9. Never thought of it that way, but I can get behind this. The 5A path is easier than the path in 4A this fall in my opinion. Great take.
  10. Luers is ALWAYS better than their record. Betting they definitely have revenge on their minds after last year...
  11. Because hyperbole and sarcasm is so easy to detect on the internet, right?
  12. There is zero difference between those quotes. All semantics. I’ve stated all along they deserve to be in the conversation and you are the one creating a pissing contest and splitting hairs. Then you double down AFTER they let a mediocre Mount Vernon team hang around and state it as an ABSOLUTE. You must live in a world where words don’t matter and you can just constantly change the meaning of them despite them being front and center for all to see. The difference in us is the obvious bias. You have skin/blood in the game. I don’t. I have not seen one other poster who is not a New Pal fan (as you claim) that thinks they are the best team in the state. The “blow through the tournament” comment was not made by me so don’t drag me into that one. I’m actually on record (in this very thread) as stating there may be some challengers to New Pal which was unheard of 8 weeks ago. Man, you are making it easy to be a Roncalli fan. Don’t be the Merrillville of central Indiana please.
  13. This is getting harder… 1. Michigan 2. Ohio State 3. Penn State 4. Illinois 5. Maryland 6. Wisconsin 7. Purdue 8. Minnesota 9. Michigan State 10. Iowa 11. Nebraska 12. Rutgers 13. Indiana 14. Northwestern
  14. Thought it was interesting the contrast in coaching styles yesterday by those schools with Heisman worthy quarterbacks. Tennessee pulled Hooker at halftime of their blowout win over UT Martin while OSU had Stroud still throwing bombs and going for it on 4th down in the fourth quarter up 30+ points. Just an observation.
  15. “Yes absolutely the best team in the state!” EIGHT HOURS ago. Scroll up.
  16. Uninspiring performance by the Boilers with everything right in front of them. This one was over from the coin flip.
  17. Knew you’d take the bait. Your late night damage control spoke volumes. Mount Vernon is a fringe top 75 team in the state…rivalry game or not “the unquestioned best team in the state” should roll through them with relative ease. Every team ranked in front of New Pal has taken care of/put away clearly inferior competition without missing a beat. New Pal was down in the third quarter…to a team with a 15 year old QB whose parents picked him up after the game because he’s not old enough to drive. Facts are facts.
  18. Hoosiers take the opening kickoff for a TD. Tom Allen goes crazy. Hoosiers score 10 points in the remaining 59:49. #LEO
  19. Could this be why? Also, does Shortridge still get credit for hosting that game because that could affect where Roncalli has to play in future more important contests if not…
  20. Whenever I see the words “could have” I stop reading…
