  1. Yes and possibly yes (don't want to speak for anyone)
  2. Brownstown Central is looking for a JV game Week 3. We were planning to travel, we would prefer to play Monday Sept 9th, but we could play Saturday Sept 7th, as well. Please contact-- rmay@btownccs.k12.in.us or mconklin@btownccs.k12.in.us

  5. Yeah, I don't understand that at all.
  6. Makes zero sense. Indiana kids transferring there I'll bet are never deemed ineligible. Kentucky is the wild west.
  7. For now, yes. They're going to court.
  8. Then there should never be a 2 time transfer. But, again, that's fine, put the rule in place. Just don't do because ADULTS are allowed to move jobs lol... they aren't close to the same entity.
  9. Well.. that's the rule. If you move, basically, you'll be eligible. Or, don't move and prove you're transferring schools for non-athletic reasons. That's the other part of the rule. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't really care whether or not they allow a one-time transfer, I wouldn't, but not really a hill I care to die on. I'm just saying it's stupid to do it in the name of "well teachers and coaches move jobs, so we should just let 14yr olds flip flop schools." That's all.
  10. That's different then what I was saying. It wasn't said the prep work was done (I probably should have known that).... it was said they were getting ready to "start" on Castles. I completely agree (and even mentioned as much) that these crews "once they get going" get the job done quick.
  11. Then transfer there lol Move and transfer there. It's got nothing to do with me being able to take another job though. It just shouldn't even be brought up as a reason for allowing a one time transfer. Doesn't make sense.
  12. Why would them moving into our district bother me? Yes a transfer finally benefitted one of our sports programs. There is no comparison for a D1 athlete. How many more amenities do they need for it to be considered fair? good grief.
  13. They don't act like adults more than they did a decade ago though, that's the issue. Why have any rules honestly? Why are they even made to go to school? I mean, what if they don't want to?
  14. If they haven't broke ground? No shot
  15. If the kids want to transfer, then transfer... move districts and go to a new school. The fact coaches and teachers move JOBS is 1000000% irrelevant to this discussion and quite honestly shouldn't be brought up. Coaches, teachers, and students are 3 completely different entities--- never understood why anyone would compare a student to a coach. There really isn't much to compare. Do you know many students with a mortgagee, car payment, 8 month old daughter, wife, etc?
  16. "Since coaches and teachers can leave any time, I believe we should allow at one-time transfer for the students." This is absolutely cringe-worthy quote. It's also stupid when they bring that point up in college.
  17. Good golly. I guess Castle doesn't have a home game until Sept 6th.
  18. 16 days out they posted this morning showing them getting the actually turf on the foundation. So just started the final phase, or seemingly close to that. Those crews operate with pretty good efficiency though. I would think they'll be able to practice on it all week before the first game. (maybe the crew that did the Salem turf went to Corydon afterwards).. just a guess. With ours--- the crew that did it was at Jennings County putting their turf in before ours. They finished ours on Thursday afternoon with a home game on Friday lol
  19. That looks great coach, didn't have you guys down as getting it this year. updated!
  20. Fantastic. With Corydon+Salem both turf.... Weeks-- scrimmage through week 9-- we will play 1 game on grass. Next season, obviously when the schedule is flipped, we will play 2. 3 games over a two year time frame played on grass.
  21. Brownstown was 2A the majority of existence. All schools are within 400 students, basically. I don't see it happening.
  22. We weren't talking about him, but yes, very good.
