LCC AT FW LUERS
First_Backer_Inside replied to Tippy's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Three of Luers games they won by a combined score of 6 points. Less than a touchdown. They very well could have came into this playoffs 3-6. And that's without playing two of the top teams in the SAC. I'm sorry, I'm just not going to get on board that this Luers team is the favorite in this game. I think they have better athletes at some positions than LCC, but overall both sides of the ball and special teams, I'm going with LCC. I said it once and I'll keep saying it, unless Luers does prove me wrong which they might, the two best teams in the North played each other back in week 2 of sectionals. -
I get that feeling all the time, and yet up until this week, we were the only team in the NFL to score over 20 points in each of our games. The streak would've ended if it weren't for our defense scoring against Carolina, but all the other games the offense has put up some decent numbers

Dullaghan is def on mine. 313 wins, 8 state championships, was an 8 year camper at his summer football camp. Going to a small school, he gave me the chance to perform against bigger school talent and get the chance to be seen by different colleges. He has impacted so many different programs around the state than people can imagine.

LCC AT FW LUERS

Absolutely as well as our game. I always make a point to go and shake the hand of players I felt stood out. Once i got done shaking the coaches hands, I found him as fast as I could. Luckily I just had to look up and find the tallest player on the field. He does an excellent job of getting hands on and creating separation. A very very great player. I have a lot of respect for the young man. -

LCC will have a better quick game passing the ball than what Bluffton had to equalize that. Bluffton's screens weren't ran near as well as LCC will run them and was still effective against Luers. The slants and stick concept will be key for LCC. I guess we will find out Friday. -

Fingers crossed they get sent down South in the new alignment like they have in past years in 2A -
Chatard vs Knox Semi-state
First_Backer_Inside replied to ArmyVet80's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Call it what you want. I've seen a lot of Valley film, Knox film, and Chatard film. Out of the three teams, Knox is the least impressive of the three. -

Knox and Valley scrimmaged each other at the beginning of the season. I know it was just a scrimmage and Knox has gotten a lot better, but Valley would be able to beat this Knox team by a touchdown or two. Give me Chatard by whatever they want the score to be. -

LCC wins this one. Outside of Snider in Fort Wayne, wasn't impressed with the SAC at all this year, and Luers didn't even have to play them this year. If you can defend a fade and keep contain on a HB toss, you can beat Luers. LCC will be able to do that. In my opinion, the two best teams in the North met each other back in week 2 of Sectionals. -

A lot easier and cheaper to log onto ihsaatv and watch a game than it is to travel and pay to get into a game. Not saying I agree with it, just the way it is now. -
“Recruiting is real in high school."

And I said I never saw it that way until Foxbat explained it in further detail. Never been involved with a p/p school. I've just always been told they recruit and bring in transfers and that's why they are always as successful as they are, unfair advantages they have, etc..., -

In my opinion yes to the first statement. Truthfully don't know what you mean by the second, when did I say or infer that they belong to the state, not sure what you mean by they either, are we talking about the schools or the students? -

When explained like this I can understand and support the non transfer idea. The way I see it though, p/p's don't have a true elementary or middle school most times than not. So when they come from a "feeder school" that they still have options on where to go and they choose a p/p, I see that as them transferring in as freshman. Others may not see it that way but that's what I see it as. Again I understand many especially those more linked to p/p's don't see it that way but just my opinion on the matter. -

Okay, so explain to me how the feeder school works. Because from my understanding, most p/p's don't have their very own feeder. The feeder school can go to multiple p/p schools in an area. Also may just be a coincidence, but every time those 4 or 5 transfers come into a p/p, they end up being some of the best players on the team. Might just be a coincidence tho. -

You're a p/p. Everyone on your roster is a transfer -
If teams win state in a two year period (at least in the lower classes) its because they have a really special player on their team or a special class that wins it usually around their Junior year. Rather than letting them coast through another state championship, and then letting the poor underclassmen who have to fill those huge shoes in the next class happen, I think if you win a state championship you should just bump to the next class for the following year. Keep the rest of the success factor in place, because I honestly I think for the most part it works, but just add that little piece. Yes you will have to reclassify every year and realign but if it balances out competition and the classes I think its worth it.

LaVille at LCC

Yes, 2011 would be correct for the picture because I was actually wrong. Danny's senior year was the 2011 football season, not the 2012 year. -

The 2012 team would have been Jackson's brother Danny. Never had to play those LCC teams with the ghost on it. Grew up watching them though. If I had a choice between the two I'm not sure there is a right answer on which team you want to play against between the 2012 team and the 2015 team. -
