ND played well limiting IU to 130 yds total O until the last 4:00 …
ND also squandered points. First and five at IU 15 and they call three pitiful play calls and end up with blocked fg.
A glaring issue for ND has been special teams. They have had multiple FG’s blocked and punter just not very good. Would think ST coach would be under some fire. Georgia will take advantage of this I’m sure.
If it’s 20 degrees and snowing guessing QB legs will be important as throwing will be difficult
Leonard 124 carries 721 yds 14 Td
Rourke 41 carries -25 yds 2 Td
Game is a toss-up to me.
Will this be the game ND’s injuries prove fatal?
loss of both DE’s and AA cornerback could prove huge here. As well as two oline starters out. Sooner or later has to catch up
Providence QB was stellar. Providence was clearly better today no question and they stuffed NJ much of the game, but NJ not having their QB in the run game was glaring. Noticed last week he was hobbled severely in Sstate and thought that could be huge going forward and it was as second play ran midline and he pulled and was hobbling to run. He’s the catalyst for all they do. Real shame to see that, was he injured in regional or sectional?
Pioneer dressed 23 last night, 9 not dressed for variety of issues. If there’s a bright spot for Pioneer it has to be they return all 22 starters next year.
Culver hit two big pass plays and scored on one. Pioneer led 45-6 start of third w running clock. Pioneer Jv played second half Culver punched in two. Pioneer bigger concern is 5-6 starters left game with leg injuries. Never seen so many
Sorry, just going off games I saw and maxpreps showed both OT’s, TE, and Qb (although maybe not on field qb)
Both DE’s, DT, both inside LBers, corner and safety weren’t seniors?
maxpreps listed Sr…maybe their class wrong

All eyes will be on 3A #5 Knox at 1A #1 North Judson..Knox lost a lot up front on both sides of the ball, but return arguably two of the best RB’s in northern part of state. NJ returns basically everyone from SS team. I think NJ will do enough to contain the great backs of Knox.

NJ is clear favorite based on returning players
that said NJ plays 3A #1 Knox week 1
Pioneer plays Knox week 2
Pioneer has played tons of freshman/sophs last two years and only have a couple seniors this season. Find out pretty quick where they are opening up with Cass and Knox
both Zachary and Kiser were option style power runners….nothing new to evaluate and base opinions for qb play on throwing the ball.
Zachary (senior year was 2008 btw)believe was 2-0 against LCC both in playoffs and Kiser’s teams played LCC four straight years in playoffs. Kiser scored 16 rushing td’s in those four games. Couple of those games were real classics.
And PFF has Kiser as the highest rated returning linebacker in college football for 2024.
From QB at Pioneer to 3-yr starting linebacker at Notre Dame. Kind of crazy.
So the kid who won it who was multiple state champ, 3rd all-time scorer, top 5 all-time rusher, 3-yr starter at top 15 power 5 school at a defensive position he never played in high school and will play in the league as well makes it a joke.
Yikes.
