  1. Congrats to Laville Believe I heard first potential conference championship in 36 years! I think the loss of Plummer’s kicking may be as big as the loss of his passing. Generally, if you are going to play late into November you better be able to run the ball and have effective kicking game. It appears Laville has the ability to run it but kicking could be issue
  2. Laville has a big advantage in the kicking game. Making Judson drive 80 yds + could be huge
  3. Just from what I have read: both teams beat 3A Knox NJ no prob with Skins 26-0 Lville had to escape with stopping 2pt conv for win in final 30 secs 21-20 Both teams are vulnerable to the passing game. Would think with Laville QB they would have advantage here. Laville QB is very good and if flushed can use his legs very effectively. NJ will need to be disciplined with their pass rush. If Laville has success thru air Dewitt becomes even more dangerous. On D can Laville force NJ to throw. Stopping NJ option game is going to be issue for Laville. They will bout have to change their front for this game. If they can take away Benson then Harper and Allen on the edge will be a problem for Laville Lb and DB’s. In the end NJ too physical for Laville imo as Benson will churn out his yards and move the sticks NJ 24 Lville 14
  4. This one deserves its own thread. 7-0 NJ at 7-0 Laville Who ya got? I like Judson to get it done Should be great hard-hitting game
  5. Laville got their first win vs Pioneer Triton got their first win vs Pioneer Knox……?
  6. Saving secrets for playoff matchup is laughable Triton is still in the running for a share of the conf championship Anything can happen
  7. Gotta come down a little at some point. especially at a small school. Friday vs Triton their Qb and two linemen were freshmen and on defense two linebackers and two DB’s were freshmen They will be back on top soon 😉
  8. LAST 26 SEASONS 1997 through 2022 seasons W L Pct. Pioneer 268 52 .838 Brownstown 254 50 .836 FW Snider 266 55 .829 Eastbrook 261 56 .823 Penn 272 61 .817 Linton 257 59 .813 Heritage Hills 249 63 .798 Indy Chatard 276 75 .786 Homestead 227 63 .783 Jimtown 251 71 .780 Andrean 253 76 .769 Jasper 227 70 .764 Ev. Mater Dei 252 81 .757 Warren Central 237 79 .750
  9. Try again There have only been 2 Logansport football players make their way to Pioneer in the last 30 years. Both came in 2001 due to disciplinary issues at Logansport.
  10. They did…that’s how they beat 6AChesterton and Andrean and went to 2A semi-state when those players were seniors🙄
  11. Don’t believe a matchup with Pioneer carries any weight for Triton other than they’ve never beaten them. Pioneer has talent but lacks heart to be a factor this season.
  12. Didn’t read thru this thread, but did something happen to Drayk Bowen? Curious why anyone thinks the defending champs with the best player returning can be dismissed. Apparently, y’all didn’t see the clip titled “Angry Drayk” from the other night. Good luck 2A
  13. I would still argue Triton has the best individual player in the conference.
  14. I have to admit after watching Laville Triton game and North Judson Caston game on IHSAATV I don’t think it is close as Laville will go unbeaten and win their first conference title. And with Andrean QB injury not sure there is anyone in the north to challenge them.
  15. Since he is only a junior that list will grow. Hopefully he is making the rounds to camps and combines in off-season
  16. Don’t underestimate the Schuh kid Believe I would take Schuh if I had a choice. Btw what does Schuh go this year? Looks about 225-230 Surely he is getting looks from the next level
  17. I will revise my previous no to maybe as Andrean star qb broke his collarbone Friday vs Merrillville and Laville might just be able to backup the hype.
  18. I thought Pioneer looked pretty good last night. In fact, watching it I thought they might be getting dismissed a bit prematurely. They are very young but there is talent. Still think Laville and NJ probably the favs, but would not surprise me one bit to see Pioneer on top ……again🤷‍♂️
  19. From what I saw last season and from what I recall teams lost vs what they have returning I think Laville will have the most talent and should be the favorites to win their first conference championship
  20. Good goals, shouldn’t that be the goal every year? FWIW Friend has seen Andrean twice this summer (his words) “nobody is touching Andrean in 2A, they are loaded. Watched them dismantle Valpo without Drayk Bowen playing”
  21. While that was incredible moment for Devine, pretty sure crushing #1 Texas 38-10 in Texas to win the National Championship was a finer moment😉
