DAC week 5 predictions (spoiler this is the week of the blowouts) Chesterton @ Valpo: Chesterton surprising loss to laporte has opened my eyes that the Trojans may not be as good as I thought! Valpo handled Michigan city’s dynamic duo of QB bush and RB hart with ease. And there offense isn’t only getting better! Valpo takes this one big! Valpo 42 - 10 Laporte @ lake central: both teams are trying to rebuild there programs. I’ll take lake central as they have more athletes 45-7 Michigan city @ merrillville: Michigan city has shown flashes of potential but lacks consistency. There run defense is below average at this point in the season! Merrillville defense since week 1 has been hit or miss but the offense is starting to make it look easy with there balanced play calling of pass/run! This team is no longer the justin Marshall must do it all team! Merrillville will take this game 42-17 Portage @ crown point: portage runs a lot. Crown point runs a lot! Crown point line play has been big and it will be continued into next week. Crown point should have a running clock by half time. 42-7 crown point!

That’s why the neal family spends there money running camps at westside and helping bring Gary football back along with Lonnie Johnson JR. The last 5 years all we have done is go for 2 against CP because our kicker has been gone. Seiss isn’t big on kickers anyway. That’s why when we kicked a FG a few weeks ago I was estatic because we haven’t kicked a FG I since like 2017???

That’s the best merrillville offense looked all year so far. But Marshall shouldn’t be in the backfield period!! He should be a slot WR! Idk where you got that. But we didn’t kick PATs at all. We went for 2 every drive. So that’s the false

That’s all it was? There o-line is huge and that’s why they dominated. The talent everyone says is there in my opinion is sake as last year. They just have big body’s on the line. They will win sectional but that’s probably it. There QB can’t throw well. And there RB went down easily on most plays. It’s just the O-line and merrillville ran the same play all game on Defense basicly. So it’s easy to game plan around it. Crown point coach even put out a statement saying they escaped with a victory he didn’t think they could get this year. When you have no defense either way and 1 team is scoring at will (merrillville) and the other drives slowly down the field to score it’s comes down to who gets ball last. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Crown point won both teams had 1 turnover and merrillville was without there kicker. So we went for 2 on every TD. If we have the kicker who knows game would of been tied at 35 with a 2 mins to go merrillville ball, instead of 35-34 crown point up. Just my opinion. Apparently coaches thought same being crown point didn’t move up rankings at all. And merrillville dropped from 1-3

Week 4 DAC schedule and predictions! COME AT ME!! Chesterton (1-2) @ Laporte (0-3): not much to say here!! Laporte is improving but they aren’t ready for the top tier of the conference! Chesterton lost to Michigan city last week. But I’ll take Chesterton 35-7 Lake central (2-1) @ crown point (3-0): lake central gets there first real test! And there record is a farce! Crown points big o-line will dominate the game! Lake central will score but I’ll take crown point 42-21 Merrillville (2-1) @ portage (1-2): merrillville lost to crown point last week! There defensive coordinator was suspended for Hobart and crown point he returns this week! Merrillville offesne finally clicked and is ready to take off! Portage has played well this year but they aren’t ready for what’s coming! Merrillville 35-7 Valparaiso (2-1) @ Michigan city (1-2): Valpo beat Hammond central, Laporte! And lost to Penn! Michigan city lost to warsaw, laffyette jeff. But beat Chesterton. Is Michigan city turning a corner on the season? Is Valpo offense finally ready to play? I’ll take Valpo in this game 28-17! Michigan city beat them in regionals last year but before that win I think Valpo has won this rivalry!!

You mean 1 year? Lol 😂 and the best part is 2 of the 4 transferred in the January before the season they played. So they were in merrillville. The other 2 came after Morton shit down there program. That’s already Happened in NWI

Not sure what your implying. Mason hasn’t proven to do it at Michigan city. Only having to face Valpo on your way to semistate is easy. Now he has to go through Valpo/Chesterton/merrillville. Which he can’t do!

I’m glad someone said it. It’s a very well coached school vs a athlete filled school. And normally in the DAC the athletic wins. Crown point doesn’t have the speed to play with merrillville. But Michigan city is down this year they may be able to take them Crown point will be top 3 soon. But they won’t take the conference for a while yet. Merrillville/city/Valpo will be the top for a few more years

Michigan city(0-2) @ Chesterton (1-1)- this game could be close Chesterton will see a Michigan city team that has speed! But the defense for Michigan city so far has been non existent. They have lost to warsaw and laffyette jeff. While Chesterton beat Hobart and lost to warsaw. I’ll take Chesterton 35-14 Laporte(0-2) @ valpo(1-1)- not much to say here Valpo hasn’t called that far off to allow Laporte to compete. Valpo big 42-7 Lake central(1-1) @ portage(1-1)- both teams are trying to rebuild there programs! I’ll take portage in a good fought game 28-24 game of week: crown point @ merrillville- My non bias breakdown: crown point: has a big offense line and a good QB/RB combo. They rolled Lowell and beat Andrean by 10 after a late rally by Andrean. Coach buzz has them on the right path. But Andrean did exploit crown point DBs when it came to pass they showed that crown point can’t play man to man because the DBs arent quick enough to keep up with a really athletic athlete. This needs to be a 3 yards and a cloud of dust control the clock game against a fast athletic defense that crown point hasn’t seen yet. And they haven’t been able to live ball against in 3 years. merrillville: Justin Marshall has proven this year and last year to be a game changer. Senior QB Jaylen Thomas is getting more comfortable each game running the offense. Merrillville has to get the pass game going because there not gonna win a run bs run game with crown point. Merrillville has to much talent! And is to athletic to not control this game after the 1st qtr. prediction: merrillville gets the pass game going and a good balanced rush attack. They also have there defense show up if everyone is healthy and they shut crown point down for most the game. merrillville gets 2 turnovers and that’s the difference in the game merrillville 35-21

No. Here is the take in all honesty 1. saftey D1 Philip roche (also a starting WR) didn’t play because of a shoulder injury (stinger/bruised) from week 1. He was dressed but went through warmups and it was tender so they said keep it easy and play next week against CP! He was replaced by a freshman from the freshman team so…. The game was fast for him… 2. DT Adam camp(getting D1 intrest) didn’t play due to broken hand. But will be in a club this coming week so should play. 3. we had a DB that messed around in practice (for respect not gonna name names) but he was supspended 1st half and they decided to keep him out because of way he was on sidelines. 4. We had a LG and a LT out due to a personal issue away from team they weren’t there. 5. we went into the game without or Defensive coordinator. And our OC was sick before game and left right after kickoff. but the OC wouldn’t matter. We were missing a lot. But that’s not a excuse we didn’t play up to our standards. And they got reemed at half. And after game. Kids were to busy being relaxed and didn’t care about the game to even care. They believe it’s a cake walk into state and they don’t have ti put in work. Well hopefully that’s as a wake up last night. But ti out it out there our starting offense should be trey Stephens (will be D1 after next year) WR/RB/LB justin Marshall (committed to Colorado state) RB/WR phillip roche (had many P5 offers) WR/Rb/safety roberts WR/DB peters (sophomore and is gonna gain experience every week will be the slot starting next year) WR our entire defense was shifted to cover 3 people not out there. We had DBs playing saftey. And we had a LB at DB Look at my response. That is 100% honesty no excuses. That’s what was missing. We played terribly. The defense was untouched week 1.

You did look at stats and saw the backup did better than the starter right?

We will see. If Andrean pulls some players this week I expect the same. But what if merrillville still rolls them by 30+? Y’all gotta remember crown point still doesn’t have the speed or the athlete’s. They are a ground and pound team that won’t do anything in the air against a athletic defense (merrillville, Michigan city most years) to me buz has a lot more to prove he has 3? 4? Former merrillville coaches in his staff too and they still can’t compete last few years
