I wouldn’t say crown point sent a statement. That’s what they should do against Lowell. I think they struggle with Andrean. They now get to face a team that can throw and has some speed.

week 2 DAC schedule with predictions!! Chime in everyone!! Chesterton @ warsaw: warsaw opened up some eyes with there trashing of Michigan city! Chesterton dominated Hobart early behind a brand new QB!! This game will come down to who’s defense is better. Chesterton has a veteran defense and are up for the task. Chesterton by 10 Crown point @ Andrean: crown point beat up a Lowell team that coukd not handle size/speed/athletes. Andrean played merrillville and held there own for half the game. They unfortunately have lost there QB to injury 🙏🏻. But the back up looked fine against the pirates. This game will be close but I’m taking drayk Bowen to run through the crown point defense and lead the 59ers to a win by 7! Hammond central @ Valpo: not much to say here Hammond dominate against a SB school. Valpo got dominated against Penn, Valpo is the better program Hammond doesn’t have the depth to compete. Valpo by 35+ laffyette jeff @ Michigan city: laffyette got handled by cathedral last week. But showed promise. Michigan city couldnt get anything going last week! Lafayette had the harder game and stood tough. Lafayette by 10 lake central @ providence catholic (IL): don’t know much about Illinois schools but I hear this one’s good. I’ll take them by 21 lowell @ laporte: both run well and defense is average. Lowell wins on road by 10 merrillville @ hobart: Hobart had some turnovers against Chesterton that were key to the game. Merrillville tan all over Andrean and has a suffocating defense. I’ll take merrillville by 35. Merrillville varsity defense will pitch a shut out penn @ portage: not much to say here! If the old Penn is back they win this by 35. If last week was a fluke and Valpo is that bad I’ll take Penn by 7

From what I gathered out for season. Crown point does have a RB that’s quick. But they played a Lowell defense that’s not very good if you want honesty. Crown point has improved but if merrillville gets the pass game crown point doesn’t have the defense to stop them. Merrillville has the speed to shut down the run game of CP Defense pitched a shut out and held them to 67yards total. Offense gave us the score pick 6

And what if they had them before they came to merrillville program 🤷🏻‍♂️ We had 3 on ours. And the rest were transfers 🤷🏻‍♂️And I did share them

Merrillville looks more loaded than last seasons. They have 5 running backs that they will rotate around in backfield. Defense is undersize but they are extremely strong and fast. Secondary week 1 will have 4 players with D1 offers (transfers that came in with offers) crown point has a great running back and a big line. Defense is questionable. Ground and pound should be crown point style this year. Valpo is young across the board. A lot of potential but early on could struggle. Michigan city running back and QB look good. Tall athletic WRs but are young and have to become proven. Jaden hart RB is ginna be there X factor lake central has a great QB but really nothing else worthy. that's about all I know.

Up in DAC land. how will crown point do with merrillville out of there sectional in 6A? Can they make a run? will a team bring home the state tile in 5A? Merrillville, Valpo, Chesterton, Laporte, Michigan city are all candidates! merrillville- can they rolls the conference again? How will the new transfers do? Is this merrillville team truly better than last 3? Can they bring home state? Michigan city- best QB/RB combo in the area can they lead a young team to make another deep run? valpo- how do they fair with only 1 returning starter?

At least last time I looked about a year or two ago.

Our school and coaching staff and players normally decide to go where they can start as freshman which normally ends up being D2- junior college. Some do end up back in D1 after a few years. But case in example jo jo Johnson (merrillville/Morton) went to Notre dame. Tore ACL and now he is at a junior college after 1 year. So I have been told. Umm not to disagree but you do know that merrillville is 2nd in the entire state of sending people to any level of school right? Only behind Bloomington north I believe???

Merrillville is unproven but a lot of those unproven players played half the varsity games last year. And we got a transfer or two from Andrean. That game is 100% gonna be drayk Bowen vs merrillville D

I never tried to hide that this was me? And idc if people know? lol. But in all reality last year we had 3 go D1 but 9 had offers. Just like going into this year. We have 5 with offers. And 3-4 that should have them by season end

you all think I don’t know football and your sad… but Actually Andrean was probably the toughest game we had all year last year in regular season. Drayk Bowen is a different type of man. I expect him to have 3 TDs alone. Both teams will score over 28. But I’m going with same score as last year 42-28. And I expect Andrean to be the hardest game this year again in regular season. been saying all year I think Andrean is only team that scores 14 on us in regular season.
