  1. More state titles after they joined, but having watched Snider for 50 years, better teams before they joined in my opinion
  2. And beating Concordia 56-0 is going to make them better?
  3. It works for the 2A-4A teams for the SAC, but those conferences do nothing for the 5A and 6A teams.
  4. Carroll and Concordia are both smart, nothing is gained from them playing. You can say that for almost half of the games in the SAC, if not more. Frankly, if playing less SAC games is not an option, let Snider, Dwenger, Carroll, and Homestead play each other home and away and then schedule 3 out of conference games. Much more competitive that way…
  5. 23, I have been saying for years this needs to happen, both for the big schools and small schools. Way too many Friday nights we are seeing running clocks in the SAC with nothing gained by it. 5A and 6A schools need to play those same type of schools, period. Same goes for 2A-4A schools in the SAC. You aren’t going to see South Side, Concordia, or Wayne beat Carroll, Snider, Dwenger, Homestead. More likely, you will see running clocks in the 3rd quarter. Does nothing to prepare teams for the playoffs. Let the big boys go play the Indy teams, Penn, and Crown Point.
  6. Doubtful. He is guaranteed to be in the top 3 paid coaches as it is
  7. Just saw another article that says he is the highest paid coach…
  8. Another reason why I like Indiana’s chances to be a player for years to come. No player will ever become bigger than the team with Cignetti.
  9. Embarrassing by the so called “experts”
  10. He is lurking around…
  11. Not surprising really. He does Thursday night football, college game day Saturday morning, and game that afternoon/night.
  12. I got Seattle 24-14. Just think NE is going to have trouble moving the ball against Seattle
  13. I always enjoyed the Lou Holtz press conference before every game where he would build the opponent up to behemoth standards even when they were winless. Always brought a smile to my face
  14. Indiana alum have money… People thought I was blowing smoke when I said the Hoosiers would have more fans than Miami in their own stadium, but I was right. With Cignetti, IU is here for awhile
  15. I was thinking about how well Indiana travelled during the CFP. Probably had 80% of the fans vs. Alabama, 90% of the fans vs.Oregon, and 70% of the fans vs. Miami in their stadium. Damn impressive
  16. I didn’t say Miami would win, but it is no gimmee like about 9-10 other games on the schedule
  17. Playing Miami is no gimmee and at BYU will be no easy task
  18. I wouldn’t go that far. No mid-major is winning the natty. Look at the group of 5 teams in the CFP for further evidence based on CFP results. Only reason Alabama got in is the ESPN/SEC connection and that ESPN owns the CFP
  19. ND should have been in over Alabama in my opinion, but SOS was a big factor.
  20. Maybe, those 2 losses doomed them though. One slip up next year, can’t afford two
  21. With that schedule, the Irish should go undefeated. Most likely, they will slip up once against an inferior opponent. The issue for the Irish is being ready for a real team come the CFP…
  22. That is my point, nobody was bitching when Indiana had 4-5 year seniors and they were 3-9 every year before Cignetti. The caveat excuse is a joke!!!Every coach in the country could have done what Cignetti did, but not a single one did. Can’t remember the site, but Indiana is not in the top 20 of schools in paying NIL money, yet some would have you believe we broke the bank to get these players. Freaking joke!!! Indiana is at the head of the big boy table now and lots of people don’t like it…
  23. Bash, he wasn’t saying you said it, it was me. Indiana had the greatest season in college football history, hands down. It is hard to quantify who is the best team in history as there is no way to measure that as those teams will never play each other, but you can quantify my statement. It is hilarious how people now are trying to discredit IU’s victory. I remember many senior laden Indiana teams that only won 2-3 games against younger, more talented team. All that was said was Indiana was terrible at football…
