Agree with most of what you say, not this. Football was meant to be played outside in the elements on grass fields. Now, over time, we have pretty much done away with grass fields due to having crappy fields later in the season and having those fields being used for multiple sports. State title games, fine, go play indoors at Lucas Oil, not before that

Excellent post!!! I still disagree that playing better competition is better than playing South Side, Concordia, etc… As far as players getting reps, that is what JV is for. Carroll and Snider will still get easy games even with playing 2 out of conference games as they both have easy games in the SAC this year. If Snider plays East Noble and Warsaw, I don’t understand that. They can play similar teams in the SAC. Go play Penn, HSE, Carmel, Columbus East, etc…

It definitely will pay dividends down the road. What are Carroll and Snider getting from playing South Side, Northrop, Concordia, and Wayne every year? Not a damn thing!!! If nothing else, it gives them a measuring stick as to where they need to be come playoff time. They certainly get nothing by beating teams 63-0. Just as important, those lower tier teams can go and play games against competition they have a better chance against

Carroll has to be the favorite with Snider and North Side right there. Homestead is probably next well behind and then I think Wayne is next. Dwenger is going to struggle this year, especially with those first 4 games and that doesn’t even include Snider later in the season.

I would think that 35-14 would be about right. If it is any closer than that or if Snider loses, any hope for postseason hardware, starting with a sectional title, is a pipe dream

Snider vs North Side will be a war in the sectionals. To add intrigue, they don’t play in the regular season due to playing 2 out of conference games

Forget about Dwenger, they will start 0-5

East Noble is not beating Snider. If they do, you can forget any type of post season title for the Panthers. Don’t care what type of crowd East Noble has, I fully expect Snider to roll the Knights

Wanted to see others thoughts on what they expect from Snider this season. Here are my thoughts: 1. Panthers will be very run oriented. I think there will be a 1,200 yard rusher 2. Defense will be pretty good. 3. Schedule is improved with Warren Central on it, East Noble I don’t understand. If you wanted to play East Noble, then just play another SAC game. Not going to get better playing East Noble and to make it worse, I think they have a 4 year contract with them I can see Snider going anywhere from 8-1 to 5-4. I see them as underdogs to Warren and Carroll, rest they will be double digit favorites. QB play will be huge for the Panthers

Snider is too high, especially with a new QB. Dwenger shouldn’t be sniffing the top 10

Looking at Snider’s schedule, Warren Central and Carroll are possible losses, East Noble, Concordia, South Side, Wayne, and Northrop should be wins, and Homestead and Dwenger are probable wins. I see best case scenario of 8-1 and worst case as 5-4. If/when Snider vs. North Side happens in the sectional, it will be another war
