  1. From what I've heard, they are young and obviously have no one to fill the giant hole Washington left as their main offensive playmaker. On paper South and Wayne may be their only winnable games, but I feel South has some more optimism and if Wayne lives up to some of the hype this year makes it even tougher. And yeah saw Blitz report that on Twitter about the injuries, makes it a lot tougher without your two D1 guys. I am curious if we would have seen them dressed if it was still the Week 1 Snider matchup of years past
  2. Brownsburg-Dwenger - Credit to BD for putting maybe the toughest out of conference schedule together, but think this one will be ugly early...Brownsburg by 28 Carmel-Homestead - We could call this the "Cake Eater" Bowl, Carmel may be on a mission after a down year..Carmel by 24 Carroll-HSE - Fun rematch of Semi-State, think Carroll sends a message that they are still for real...Chargers by 5 Scecina-Concordia - Think this will be a good matchup for Concordia to keep on the schedule long term. But this will be the start for a rough year for them...Scecina by 14 East Noble- Luers - Really fun matchup, local game of the week in my opinion..Luers by 7 New Haven-Northrop -New Haven is the most intriguing team in the area to me this year lets see how this offense looks...New Haven by 21 Warren Central-Snider - WC also looking to bounce back from a down year. Think is this game is played at the end of the year Snider is in a better spot to win...WC by 16 South Side-Marion - Huge positive for the new open schedule is a program like South getting a game like this on their schedule, should set help the tone in rebuilding a respectable program regardless of outcome..Archers by 2 Wayne-Crispus Attucks - Every year we hear how frisky Wayne is, this team may actually fit the billing...Wayne by 11 North Side-Northridge - No Tae or King this week hurts, interested to see how the new QB looks running the offense, time for North to defend their hype...Legends by 3
  3. On the flip side of the top teams getting to face tougher challenges and making them better prepared for postseason play (Which I totally believe), I think the lower end SAC teams will benefit greatly from getting to compete against other teams on their size/skill level. Having competitive and winnable games can do huge things for teams like South/Wayne/Concordia with building confidence and belief in the program compared to having to just get trounced by the teams at the top.
  4. Carroll-Lafayette Jeff...Jeff seems like a solid team but Carroll will have a little more to take this one..Chargers by 10 Adams Central-Carroll...Another week where the main goal for AC is to keep everyone healthy...AC by however much they want. Luers-Bluffton...Bluffton comes off a nice sectional win, but Luers is a whole other level...Knights by 30 Columbia City-Kokomo..this game may have a combined 100 rush attempts and be done in an hour...Kokomo by 3 Snider-Mishawaka...I think the Panthers got over their toughest test up North last week, if they can clean up the mistakes they can roll this week and next...Panthers by 14
  5. This^^^ North’s Coaching was their biggest weakness this season…but they had so much talent that it covered their flaws
  6. Let me preface this with I do enjoy when my Alma Mater is competitive…but You can have all the noise on Twitter by players and coaches, you can have the documentary crew following you, you can have the coordinated coaching outfits. If you can’t instill the discipline to not false start, to not take bad unsportsmanlike penalties, and can’t handle adversity you get beat by the established program who even when they make big errors can right the ship when it counts. I knew once the Legends didn’t put the game away after the INT in the End zone, they were in trouble.
  7. Warsaw at Carroll - I think Carroll winning in the fashion that they did on Friday silenced a lot of doubters, they take care of business here...Chargers by 28 North Side at Snider - Excited to be in the stands for this one...North may have slight advantage on some top end talent...but Snider has way more depth. That along with coaching, and special teams will be the difference...Panthers by 5 Leo at Columbia City - Happy for Coach Doerffler on a good first season, what will end as 4 losses to CC, Norwell, and Kokomo is nothing to be upset about, This CC team could be the dark horse in 4A North. Columbia City by 10 Yorktown at Norwell - Norwell wins easily and prepares for a big challenge next week...Norwell by 30 Bishop Luers at Eastside - For the longest time the small schools in NE Indiana were scared of matching up against Luers come playoff time...Eastside isn't intimidated..game of the week..Eastside by 2 Eastbrook at Bluffton - No clue on either team...Eastbrook by 7 Adams Central at Northfield - Jets just need to keep everyone healthy for a few more weeks...AC by 40
  8. I could see North getting caught sleepwalking at the start against Anderson and fall behind early but they should be able to turn that around quickly and cruise from there. When it comes to a Snider-North rematch, I see it still being a close game. But in close games Special Teams, Discipline, and Coaching are all big factors and in those three areas Snider has a HUGE advantage
  9. Would love to see North Side make a run, but I'm worried that even if they get past Snider in sectional, they don't have the discipline and structure to make a deep run. Where as Snider may not have as much flashy talent as North, I think they have the pieces to go all the way.
  10. Ugly final week, lets hope all teams get through the week with no injuries and ready for playoffs Carroll at Wayne...Wayne has improved a lot through the season, not enough to make a dent in this game...Chargers by 30 Concordia at North Side...Concordia may be able to throw the ball a little bit here, but North needs to continue to lock in for sectionals...North by 21 Luers at Snider...Panthers rolling as well, Knights just need to stay healthy for their playoff run...Snider by 28 Northrop at Dwenger...I know some Bruin players want to get some revenge on Davis, hopefully it stays clean and competitive...Saints by 14 Homestead at South Side...Maybe the Interim Coaches can inspire South to stay hungry against a down Homestead team..Homestead by 20
  11. Concordia at Carroll....Chargers just trying to stay healthy and sharp for playoff time...Carroll by 28 Luers at South Side...South has been frisky for stretches of games but won't be enough here...Luers by 25 North Side at Northrop...North Side may overlook Northrop early on but will roll from there...Legends by 30 Homestead at Wayne....Could be the Generals best chance to knock of the Spartans, would not be surprised by an upset...Spartans by 2 Snider at Dwenger....will either team try to make a statement? Will they be conservative in case of a rematch in a few weeks? Either way...Snider by 14
  12. Carroll at Homestead...Usually a hard fought game won't be as interesting this season...Chargers are just that much better...Carroll by 20 Dwenger at Luers...Could be best game this week. Soph QB looked pretty good on Friday for the Saints and has enough weapons to make his job a little easier. We'll see if BD secondary can slow down the Luers air attack...Dwenger by 5 Northrop at Snider...the only thing that makes the a "rivalry" is the fact they share a stadium...Snider rolls again by however much they want. South Side at North Side....North has too much talent to lose the Totem Pole...Legends by 28 Wayne at Concordia...sneaky good match up. Wayne loves to run, and I enjoyed watching the QB-WR1 connection Concordia has...think Generals can pull this one out...Wayne by 10
  13. Concordia at Dwenger....Saints bounce back after a big loss and roll easily...BD by 20 Luers at Northrop...Can the Bruins bounce back after a heartbreaking loss? Think Luers has a little more skill...Knights by 7 North Side at Homestead...best game of the SAC this week which isn't saying too much, great RB matchup...Homestead by 3 Snider at Wayne...Awesome game for Nelson last week...will get the same number of carries but not nearly the same results...Snider by however much they want South Side at Carroll...Bell locked up, now it's time for Carroll to stay healthy and get some depth experience...Carroll by however much they want.
  14. Dwenger at Carroll...Dwenger pulled out a gutsy win on Friday, but offense has been stagnant in 2nd halves....will need to be able to put up some points...Carroll by 9 North Side at Luers...Legends looked sloppy against Wayne before pulling away late. Think Luers offense will be good enough to capitalize on those mistakes. Mild Upset...Luers by 2 Northrop at Concordia...may be the Bruins last chance to get a W the rest of the season, think the Cadets get it done though...Concordia by 14 Wayne at South Side...not much to say here. Wayne by 12 Homestead at Snider....Panthers have had a couple weeks of get right games to prepare them for this test, while Homestead is in the middle of their tough stretch on the schedule..Snider by 10
  15. Carroll by however much they want Homestead by 2...should be a great game Luers by 17 Snider by however much they want North Side by 21+...but I am concerned their coach had to address concerns on the health of their star player.
  16. Concordia at Snider...Panthers finally get a little bit of a breather after two tough games. Concordia can stay a threat to move the ball but won't nearly be enough...Snider by 21 North Side at Carroll...Can the Legends avoid an emotional let down, especially against what looks to be the best team in the SAC? North coaches need to be in the hallways making sure Tae Johnson has a jug of water in his hands at all times, great athlete but can't stay on the field due to constant cramping issues...they'll need him all night Friday if they want to have a chance. Carroll stays disciplined and controls this game throughout...Carroll by 14 Northrop at Wayne....Congrats to Coach Bowen on his first W. Has the opportunity to pick up a 2nd one this week. But I think the Wayne rushing attack will be too much. Wayne by 6 South Side at Dwenger...after a tough loss where the Saints looked a little out of sync in the 4th quarter, they'll be able to use this game to get right and get the offense clicking going into the tough 2 week stretch. The score may be 22-0 before the 1st quarter is over....Dwenger by 35+ Homestead at Luers...nice bounce back win from Luers in week 2. Just don't think they'll have the depth to keep up with Homestead for 4 quarters...Homestead by 24
  17. Was great to have football back, this week 2 slate could have 4 really close games Dwenger at North Side...This one will be a real test on what this Dwenger team is. They looked good against Wayne but the Generals Offense is very one dimensional. The Legends will be able to spread it out which could put BD on their heels. CJ Davis is a game changer for the Saints and Special Teams will be the difference. BD by 1 Luers at Wayne...Wayne had stretches in their game last week that made me see why many said they could be a pesky team in the SAC...but can they do that for 4 quarters? How to the Knights bounce back from a tough week? Should be a close game. Luers by 2 Snider at Carroll...Snider looked sloppy but held on to win a big game which is what you want to see out of a championship caliber program. Carroll did it's job and didn't slip up in week one against an inferior opponent. I think the Snider D carries them to victory in this one...Snider by 3 South Side at Northrop..May not be a pretty game but it will be close. Reports are the SS coach has been MIA for the last couple weeks? Hope everything is alright with him....Northrop by 7 Homestead at Concordia...Cadets could have an offense that can put up some points, but won't be enough to keep up with the depth of Homestead...only blowout of the week....Homestead by 21
