The offense is fun to watch. After a losing a back like Prescott, the run game was a question mark. With our passing game we just need the backs to keep the defense honest. They have been exceeding expectations. Roncalli is not up to usual strength but their defense will be disciplined and tough. I believe they have a really good safety and corner so it will be a good test for the offense hopefully.

I expect next year to be another battle. Bloomington South has a young squad that got a lot of good experience. Bloomington North brings back a lot of talented 2026's. North loses some talented seniors but reloads with a talented 2026 class and good 2025's. Should be fun! Good luck to everyone at sectional!

Columbus North Bull Dogs are the 2024 Conference Indiana Champs! Good luck to all of the teams going into sectional. Can't believe the regular season is over. It goes fast!

Max preps says that Dash had 153 passing and 89 rushing. Ferree had 54 yards rushing. Asher Ratliff had 224 yards passing. Gino Prescott had 155 yards rushing.

Columbus East Jeff Floyd B South

The Columbus North vs Bloomington North game went into double OT. I've not been to a HS game like that before. Definitely had the crowd on a roller coaster of emotion. Hats off to both teams for putting on a show and giving it everything they had. Below are some highlights. Columbus North scored on several 4th down attempts. Had my heart in overdrive! lol

My gut tells me that East and Seymour will both win. I'm taking a chance with my picks, hoping that 2 upsets will get me a share of the pick ems championship. LOL

Columbus North beat Fishers and LN in a scrimmage this summer. I know, I know. It's a scrimmage. But we did so with our back up QB.

Floyd Jeff New Albany Madison

The one sided holding calls. There was an unnecessary roughness call and a roughing the passer call I will give them. And I don't mind the holding calls if they are calling the same way for the other team. During the second half we almost exclusively threw and ran to the right side because the ref that was the main problem was on the other side. So the first half definitely take a look at their O-line to see if they were not getting the same type of calls. There was also a no call on B South towards the end of the 4th quarter where our DB was tracking on the ball and going to intercept it. Their wide receiver wrapped his arms around his chest from behind and threw him down before the ball even got to him. This was right in front of the ref and of course no call. So yeah check on those. I believe the other antics from the refs during and after the game are being or have been reported.

The refs were trying to be the MVPs for B South. Never seen this kind of blatant one sided calls. 17 penalties against North vs 2 for south. Called holding on that MVP O line but the South O line was hanging off the arms of Saevre almost every play. Never seen a ref throw a ball in anger at a football player either. Bounced the ball at his feet and the ball boy was standing next to the player with his arms stretched out to catch it. Refs fist bumping and hugging South players. It was so weird!

This could be good for East. I'm not sure if North would apply for that or not.
