Washington and Riley has had some good games with Bremen, Clay not so much.

LaVille will be interesting. As a Bremen fan, would love to play Pioneer again, if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.

Does anyone think that the NIC is the best fit for Elkhart and Penn now?
Maybe all the 6a DAC along with Elkhart, Penn, and Warsaw make a new conference.
Then Marian, St. Joe, and Jimtown join the NLC. Glenn and New Prairie can go with their old NSC teams.
Could be the best for everyone
I don't think the old NSC teams want anything to do with Glenn and New Prairie. If they did the conference would never of disbanded.

You can rearrange the deck chairs however you see fit, half the teams will lose, half the teams will win, and we will finish with 6 state champs. Never going to make if perfect for everyone. Someone is always going to have a gripe. You solve one problem, and 2 more pop up.

Anyone have any prognostications for next fall.
Being the resident Bremen homer, I think the Lions should be favorites to win the North/South/Small school division. They need to replace a couple skill positions, but only lost 5 or 6 seniors. The Junior class that will be Seniors has played a lot of varsity and have been successful through their years in the program. The need a couple kids to come back from injuries and grade suspensions, if those kids are in the fold it will add much needed depth. I like their chances, but Jimtown is a thorn in their side, even with Jimtown being down lately, they have Bremen's number.
What other hot takes do people have? I'll eat crow if I'm wrong, please feel free to call me an idiot.

Another big reason why GID involvement has dropped off for some schools and conferences is just public awareness on social media in general, just to add the perspective of a coach. It used to be fun to get on here and banter and get a little friendly "bulletin board material" on game weeks. Nowadays, anything that gets posted on a public forum can have professional implications, and we're all hyper aware of that fact.
So now we just lurk. 🙃
Yep, when I do chime in I try and be respectful, I don't want to downgrade any programs efforts.

Probably not.

I was an aggressive career climbing 44 year old mid level corporate executive when I stumbled upon The GID in the spring of 2004 in Plainfield , Indiana . I am now 60 years old, semi retired and financially secure and looking for something to keep me busy for the next ten years. Hence my offer to by The Digest.
Just curious MarshallCounty. Would you pay $10 a month for a site that brings you all the content that I described earlier in this thread?
No. 2 dollars a month, maybe.

I started reading this site in 2000-2001 when I was a 18/19 year old freshmen at Ball State. I'm now a fat, old, weak, and dumb 39 year divorced single dad raising 2 sons on my own. It's not that I don't love the debates and reading the information, my attention has changed. I also don't fire of a response like I did when I was younger. I read things, raise my eyebrows, and move on.

Plymouth is in a talent void right now. The are in the midst of a few lean years. I expect them to pick back up again in the future.

Why don't you want it based on actual butts in the seats?
What schools in the state are still not meeting in person?

Bremen is Kelly Green and White, for a time had a gold trim, then had silver trim, now they have a black trim.

How do the three small schools (Bremen, John Glenn, and Jimtown) compete in other sports besides football?
I don’t think the 3 smaller schools embarrass themselves. They all have sports they are strong in, they all have sports they are weak in. The NIC is a step up from the old NSC days, but as a whole they hold their own.
