Looking forward to Pioneer and Bremen. The Lions faithful know this is going to be a battle. Pioneer executed their system to perfection. Lions will have to pick up their level of play and catch a few breaks. I believe these seniors may have faced off with each other’s as freshmen in a jv game. Pioneer came out on top. This will be a lot of fun.

I witnessed just the opposite tonight at LaVille. Pioneer is just a machine! Totally disciplined, they know exactly what their doing every play, so they play so fast it is amazing to watch. I like watching this team better than any of the ones Kiser played on. They truly have a system that they bring their players up in and develop them to do their job right. They ran maybe 5 core plays all night and LaVille couldn’t stop them at all. I enjoy watching them and I’m a LaVille fan. I’m looking forward to next week’s championship at Bremen. Not sure if these two schools have ever played each other but it’s been long over due!!
Bremen and Pioneer played in the early 90’s.

Good teams can out play officials mistakes.

Not much being said.
I get nervous this time of year and don't say much. I don't want to jinx anything.

I paid 25 on Venmo. I didn’t realize it was 30. Hope it went through, I’m a moron with tech.

At this point, I don't care if they have fans at all. Play it in an open field with just the teams, I just hope we can get it all in.

I just hope this upcoming Southfield vs. Northfield game, or any game for that matter, turns out to be a super-spreader event.
I hope this is was a typo and you meant to say,"turns out to not be a super-spreader event."

I understand that, but contact tracing at our school puts you out for 14 days. My point is the IHSAA should have mandated what they wanted all schools to adhere to, but they like always took the easy way out. If those kids were out due to contact tracing 7 days ago, then how are they eligible 7 days later? School up North coach told me if his kids get it they are out 24 days.
Local schools local control. The IHSAA wants schools to make determinations for themselves, if you make a blanket rule, it opens up the issue of enforcement, which the IHSAA doesn't really have.

New rule. Anyone who posts a cancellation MUST post a link from school confirming. The only Southwood I’m seeing under quarantine is 1000 miles away.
Many teams have figured this out
I heard it from a coach on the team.

Undefeated Southwood is done because of Covid.

As a Bremen fan, I hope we can get healthy and stay healthy. Would love a shot at a sectional title. I think Bremen is flying under radar this year. Think we can make some noise if things fall in our favor.

Congrats to Josh Schattuck and the Elkhart Lions, well done blending two programs into one. Finished the regular season 7-0. Taking two programs and combining them is easier said than done. Other places haven't pulled that off.

My yearly tradition. Best of luck to all schools, and thanks to all the Seniors who have dedicated themselves to their community, schools, and programs for all the years.

I struggle to see Eastbrook as a darkhorse, they are a top tier team in 2A, and have been for a few years. I guess I don't know the definition of dark horse, I see it as a team no one is expecting to do much.

Riley Jimtown and Washington Glenn? Could be enticing games. I don’t know. Could be a surprise.

I feel it is fair to criticize, but it is also fair to criticize you for being critical.

Are you sure that isn't Bremen's new mascot? That "slug" almost looks like the lower case b in your profile picture.
Lol, that is very true.

The Pioneer Bremen game is going to be a lot of fun. Pioneer is a measuring stick program for small schools. The Lions get a chance to see where they stack up against one of the best small school programs in the state. Bremen will need to be fundamentally sound in all facets of the game and get a couple of breaks to pull off an upset. I'm excited for this match-up.
