  1. Southwood is very young and has had the injury bug but better days ahead. I think Judson would win the TRC but everyone else would be settling for 4th (talking about the top 5 teams vs top 5)
  2. As I've told the North Judson folks I know. There's always a team that pops up that nobody really talks about. I told them I remember our winamac team in 2013. Everyone (on here and around town) talked about it was either gonna be winamac, Eastern Hancock or Linton winning state... I even drove down to watch Linton and Sheridan play...at Sheridan...cause I thought Linton would be the team Winamac faces at state and Sheridan would be the Semi State opponent.. little did I know there was a 3rd team there that night watching both teams play and it was the team I should have been worried about.. the Tri Central Trojans. North Judson is good but Madison Grant is too! Both teams gotta get there first!
  3. Loved their pizza though.
  4. I still think they should go to divisions but split it up better Division 1 USC. Michigan. Rutgers. Purdue. Washington. Iowa. Northwestern. Ohio State. Minnesota. Division 2 UCLA. Michigan State. Maryland. Indiana. Oregon. Nebraska. Illinois. Penn State. Wisconsin. Pretty even, both divisions have 2 teams on West coast, two teams on the east coast. All big rivalries can continue.
  5. Think next year 1-6 in the conference will be some very competitive teams. Judson loses a lot but still has some dudes. Pioneer will be really solid next year North Miami doesn't lose much Triton will be solid. Winamac and Caston will be junior and sophomore heavy, I expect big jumps from both teams. I think the biggest concern for Caston is to have the confidence they can compete week to week. Bowyer, Yarber, Mollenkopfs, Zimpleman and getting a healthy Rigney. Should be fun. I know Culver has an intriguing 8th grade group led by Mike Zehners boy. South Central.. yikes.

    IU 2024

Indiana has gotten better yes but with all the new players it had to take sometime. Indiana is the best team in the state and cig is the best coach...in the state. i said what I said

This feels different. I know Nebraska is decent but still. Cig is him.
  9. Winamac and Caston aren't particularly good but both are very young. If I remember right Caston only has like 3 to 5 seniors, Winamac has 4 and only 5 or 6 juniors. I think Caston is right around 3 to 5 juniors too. I think if the Bowyer kid plays vs NW they are probably 3-6 right now. Both teams will be much better and I think the next 3 seasons you'll see some pretty close games between the two and both should be two of the better teams in the conference too.
  10. Winamac gave caston every opportunity to extend their 3-0 lead. Winamac did make some good stands defensively but did not really advantage of those opportunities either. #65, #10 and #7 are studs. Thought both mollenkopfs played well. Those five kids plus Rigney should be solid next year. Thought Talen Garner and Tearson Wolford played well. Lucas Perez tonight played solid later in the game. Would love to see Wolford get the ball more than he does. Kids an animal. Great leader and kid too. Don't think I've seen a 16-11 score before.
  11. I get you my guy. Rensselaer is in a good spot to go the independent route. Vball, b and g girls basketball definitely can probably keep some of the schools in the Hoosier they already play and definitely enough games out there to find some new teams (illinois) or region schools. Football will be tricky but I bet just for an instance Knox probably doesn't wanna play Bowman week 9 very long, that'd be a cool match up... Region schools and Illinois schools and maybe 1 or 2 old Hoosier Conference foes. Endless possibilities for bomber nation.
  12. North Judson is on Central. 730 starts (which is what Winamac did w Knox/South Newton/Tri County) and currently does w South Central and Judson. Why not play basebal/softball conference games on Saturday? There's definitely ways around to soften the blow.
  13. Carroll, Delphi, Winamac, Pioneer, North Judson and Rensselaer....find a 7th school and make this a conference Peru, Maconaquah, Cass, Northwestern, Tipton, Eastbrook, Oak Hill and Eastern Caston and North Miami join a conference with Southwood, Northfield, Wabash, Manchester and Whitko Rochester and Triton join the Indiana Northern State conference with Valley, Jimtown, Glenn, Bremen, LaVille and Knox. Sorry Culver, Argos, Oregon-Davis and South Central.
  14. Oak Hill, Eastbrook, Tipton, Northwestern, Cass, Peru, Maconaquah and maybe add Eastern?
  15. Thats why I said eventually. The four of Cass, Maconaquah, Peru and Northwestern kind of make me nervous, could totally see those 4 break off and if BC and Rensselaer leave the Hoosier, Tipton may get a little restless too. We'll see though.
  16. Winamac moved a freshman defensive lineman into the rotation up front and added a sophomore who was finally able to play last week to its linebacker corp, im hoping to see another sophomore defensive lineman make his debut this Friday or next. he'll help a lot, so I'm hoping it'll change the defense a bit up front. Aiden Schooler being back on defense will help too.
  17. Rigney not playing virtually the whole year has to hurt.
  18. I like how Iowa does co ops and 8 man football. Lots of studs from 1a and 2a level go on and play around Iowa or Iowa State.
  19. Again nobody thought Twin Lakes was considering leaving because nobody said Twin Lakes was leaving and that's fine if you don't care what anyone would like to see, there's no harm in what I posted so I don't get the hostility.
  20. Nobody said they were, I simply just stated that's what type of conference I'd like to see...if the Hoosier would fold.
  21. Sounds like Winamac this year and next. I think before the season started winamac had 16 or 19 10-12 and 59 6-9. There's a kid on Castons team and another kid that doesn't even attend winamac anymore that'd definitely help the football team this year. Caston will be a good game, wonder if the sophomore Rigney finally plays? Mollenkopf (junior and freshman) along with Yaber and Bowyer are nice athletes. That Rigney kid will make things interesting.
  22. Let's say Rensselaer and Benton Central do leave. That gives the Hoosier 7 playing schools. You think Tipton wants to be the smallest public school in the conference? They could start to look else where, that would give you six playing schools. West Lafayette due to uncertainty of the conference could look else where. It's not that hard to fathom that conference quickly going away if Rensselaer and Benton Central leave.
  23. That would be an insane drive. I still think eventually Rochester makes it way over there.
  24. I wouldn't mind seeing Winamac, Pioneer, North Judson and Rensselaer get something going...maybe try to poach Delphi/Carroll/Twin Lakes...because if Judson leaves the HNAC is in trouble and TL is a decent sized 3A but if Rensselaer and Benton Central go.. Hoosier conference could be in some trouble too.
  25. Boys and Girls basketball they'd probably win it mostly.
