The Smith kid doesn't start? And what are the odds they move rans (be the featured tailback) off QB and start popejoy (bet it's pretty high) 22 starters but how many kids? I imagine they have atleast five or 6 going both ways.

Good thing those freshman eventually turn into Juniors and Seniors. All the licks they take now should better prepare them for the future. I'm seeing that now with my alma mater albeit they've won 3 games. As someone who works in and lives in Rochester. I can tell you that's all people could talk about. If that MAC/Rochester game is at Rochester. I may take a visit over there, I mean I live 3 blocks from the school lol.

Winamac 50 South Central 12. Winamac moves to 3-4 on the season. Happy the seniors Reed Anderson, Aiden Schooler, Talen Garner and Addison Allen got a W in their last regular season home game. Pretty nice to see multiple guys score. Senior Addison Allen with two tds, Junior Ethan Burgess, Sophomore Tearson Wolford, freshman Hunter Haschel and Sophomore Ivan Cardenas all scored. I can't remember winamac ever starting six freshman through out the year, future is bright.

Winamac up 44-6 at half. Winamac finally got a couple kids back. Xavier Adriano, Michael Shidler and Aiden Schooler back to playing defense as well. Hopefully Lucas Perez, Cody Wheeler and Louis Rugg will be back next week.

JMU guys Horton (TE), Kamara (DE), Lawton (RB), Black (RB), Carpenter (DT), Sarratt (WR), Walker (LB), Fisher (LB) and Ponds (DB) Other Price (WR-Texas Tech), Cross and Rourke (WR/QB Ohio), Ellison and Williams (RB/WR Wake Forest), Green (RB UNC), Wedig (Wisconsin), Asbury (ODU) Indiana guys Most of IU's starting offensive line, Cooper Jr and Coby at WR, Burris Jr and Carr Jr along with Farrell, Johnson and Sanguinetti who are all on D were on the IU team last year. It's a good mix. I hope you'll see a bit of the same next year, some transfer ins and some of the same guys from this year's team+ new recruits.
-
Well see about the offense. Don't get me wrong they are good. I just think it's a heck of a job for Coach Cig to get a lot of those transfers to come in and buy in. Ellison, Black, Lawton and Green sharing carries. Cross, Price and Sarratt being dudes at previous school coming understanding targets may not come like they did at previous school and players like Cooper Jr and Williams doing well. What's nice is Green and black in the backfield..Sarratt and Cooper Jr could be back next season.

It came against their JV squad middle or late in the 4th Q. Pretty shocked Triton couldn't even score on Judson's jv team?

Early thoughts from the game. Judson is big as advertised. Their two studs on the OL/DL were impressive. I think both could play in college. Really didn't see much of McDaniel running (didn't really have to) but saw his passing. He's improved a lot in that area. Wilcox didn't get many carries (didn't have to again) but was impressive. Benson just trucked dudes and had some big runs. The only thing that worries me about NJ is the fact outside of the first two weeks, their starters really haven't gone into the 4th Q. I also think teams could maybe throw on them a tad (Knox had some success) and if a line is just as big or physical, the opponents could have success running to the outside. Is this the best Judson team I've seen? The 2002 and 2022 Jays imo are but this Judson team doesn't have Luers or Adams Central to worry about. Stay healthy NJ, only team probably stopping you from getting to state is yourselves. I was impressed with Winamacs Ethan Burgess, Talen Garner and again Aidan Schooler along with Addison Allen.

I think winamac got atleast 50 yards.

Awe, I met his mom once when I went to a Rensselaer basketball game with John Igoe. (Johnny's senior year). Got a lot of love for the Igoes, Addrian and the Malones! (Talk to Andrew/allisons mom about twice a month!) -

Addrian is such a great guy. Awesome player back in the day but an even greater dude! He definitely has love for you! -
As I said in my post...what hurt Tom Allen was the assistants he lost and failed to hire capable oc/dcs in the like. Coach Cignetti has won at multiple different levels, with different schools and coordinators which shows he can coach and has the ability to see talent as far as player wise and coordinator wise...which is why he's always won. I think the biggest thing you are missing is this. Look how Indiana is winning. Indiana under HCTA would not have beat Maryland, probably barely beats UCLA and FIU, beats Charlotte and Western Illinois albeit closer. Indiana had 4 turnovers and won against Maryland, dominated both WIU and Charlotte.. ran away from UCLA and beat FIU. They aren't playing world beaters but it's how you play and beat those teams that says a lot and which is why Indiana is getting some love. If Indiana was 5-0 but beat FIU by 7, Western Illinois by 49, Charlotte by 21, UCLA by 14 and beat Maryland by 7...they wouldn't be getting the love they are and IU fans wouldn't be as excited.
-
Huge difference between middle school football and lower level d1 lol or d2. Bad take.
-
Indiana chose production (Cignetti) over potential (the other two finalists). Cignetti has won every single place he's been and won a lot at schools that don't traditionally win. To be 60 something years old and take this job, you have to have swagger and confidence. Good coaches win, no matter where they go. Harbaugh has done that, DeBoer has done that and I think Cig will do that as well.
-
He went from being the dude under Tom Allen to being another guy. Cooper Jr and Sarratt have outplayed him on the outside and he's not a slot like Price or Cross. The injury he suffered couple games ago, emergence of Cooper Jr and Sarratt transferring over to IU hindered him.
-
Under HCTA they lose the Maryland game. They probably beat Western Illinois pretty bad but more like 49-0, Charlotte is probably around 35-14 and they probably barely win against Florida International and UCLA is a closer game. That's the difference between Tom Allen and Curt Cignetti. Those teams aren't world beaters but Indiana took 4 of them to the woodshed and played bad but still won the 5th game. It's comparing how IU used to beat teams like that to how they are beating them now. That's what gets fans like myself excited and you can tell Cignetti is a different coach that Indiana hasn't had in a long time or ever. Indiana played Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State along with Penn State for years, it's about time the football gods gave Indiana a schedule that's watered down a bit. The biggest key for me is IU making sure Cig stays but also if he loses coaches (oc/DC, qb coach) Cig makes the right hires. That is what the downfall of Allen was. He missed bad on his hirings after McCullough, Hart, DeBoer and Womack left.

Please read my response. I was at that game, pretty exciting game. I disagreed with the kids storming the court. Outside of 2022 and 2023, Winamac has had a bit of success against NJ in that sport which is why I didn't get why they did it and disagreed with it.
-
Hey.. still think Curt Cignetti is a certified clown? I mean you aren't even posting on IU threads anymore, guess since you were completely wrong about that guy, have to find another team to go after.
-
I think they did Cheyennes senior year. I thought last year Winamac played UP to North Judson. I think that might have been the first game back for Bucinski, Jones and the 2nd game Tucker Fox played. I misunderstood littledog hopefully. I can tell you it was very similar to the 2014-2016 winamac teams.. kids didn't take Judson as serious. I had a kid I did stats for say "who cares, it's North Judson, they stink" I was like nah dude. I don't care what the records are I want to beat NJ! I really like Rabe Frasure, Rob Shidler and Alvin Harper. 3 great dudes. Lot of respect for them!
-
That might the worst post of the season. Holy hell. Yes, the winamac Judson game is a rivalry. Bad bad take.
-
Also imo, sagarin is OK for football but it's way more accurate in basketball.
-
I'd bet a few of those top 7 ranked in 2a could beat them. Especially schools like Lutheran and WeBo.
