East is always just way more physical. East is going to score 28+ on everyone in the HHC, I don't think anyone is going to break 20 on the East D in the HHC. I also feel like these Floyd kids might have some Strength and Conditioning issues; they always seem to be hurt every year.
This also isn't a shot at any coaches, but it just seems like "star players" are always hurt.

BTW @Fogertyputmein, East has a good 1 in Foster after this year. That kid can wing it!

What coach plays cover 2 on the 35 with 5 seconds left in the game? Bragg calls the Offense and the Defense. And I question about everything he does. Seymour couldn’t cover me. Everytime Floyd passed the ball, it was a 10 yard completion. But this guy wants to run dives up the middle all game. Just maddening. I just can’t with this guy anymore. And if he reads this, he has my permission to DM me and talk about it. Because the entire community is about done with this guy.
Floyd Central has more talent then East, I would bet. But they don’t have the coaching to beat East. We are also missing our two best players but that’s not an excuse.

Crazy. That's a really good BD team.
Yep, I knew they were good this year, and I knew CG was/is still trying to figure everything out after losing so much talent from last years team. Each week, each win builds confidence in this CG team.

Final Score
Seymour - 22
Floyd - 15
Seymour likely takes the 2nd spot in the HHC. But if we see a East loss Floyd down the road it things completely out of wack between these three teams.
The worst East is going to do is tie for 1st. I don't see East losing an HHC game this year tho. In all honesty, I picked Floyd to win tonight, just from what I saw from Seymour last week (Seymour being undersized and getting moved on the lines). Hats off to them for battling and winning a tight game.

Seymour scores on 4th down with 30yd pass. Big catch after two incomplete passes just out of Owls receivers hands.
Insane!!!

Columbus East - 49

Final
Was a rough first 2 weeks against Whiteland and Columbus North. East held the lead at half against Whiteland, but ultimately was outmatched in the 2nd half and lost 26-8. Week 2 East once again was in a tight game for a half but just fell apart against North (worst half of East football I've seen in a long time) Hoping the boys have somewhat figured out a little more each week.

Turn-overs and a couple other boneheaded moves let East take the wind out of Seymour way last week. They definitely were better than that games showed. Floyd likely came in with the edge but figured it could be close if Seymour just played a cleaner game.
Turn-overs for sure. East also shot themselves in the foot with penalties on a few drives. The difference was Seymour had no answer for East' O-Line as East ran for over 300 yards and around 475 yards of total offense.

Let’s pump the brakes on that one…
He was referring to the "If Penn is back to Penn" which I think BTF is disagreeing with. I don't think BTF thinks this game is going to the wire.

Halftime... Fogarty's post pretty much sums up CE right now. I expect CE to fare much better in the HHC, but against 2 teams that are large (Whiteland is gigantic) it just seems like the offense can't do much.

If this East offense continues to be as pathetic as it has been, this game will get ugly, because North is a good team.

East leads 3-0 after the 1st quarter. The North Team gave 5A #2 Decatur Central all they wanted last week, so I am hoping they stay competitive this game.

Whoever is in charge of the offensive play calling for East should not have a job. Thats the nicest way of saying it. East defense has done a pretty good job so far.

Yes, Bell County beat North Laurel 42-35. I had heard a while back that Jeff needed a new opponent. I guess we still don't know why, but it gave Bell enough time to find another opponent.
The only team that lost in this whole scenario was Jeff. Seems like Bell County knew the game wasn't going to be played.

Whiteland - 28

All Whiteland after halftime..

East having a hard time stopping the sweep, like they have the last 2 decades... Good thing for East, they won't see another team run this offense. Still a much much better East team.

Floyd down 21-7 at half. Almost had 14 but got picked at the 10 yard line. This is a good Floyd Central team. FC tried to unsuccessful onside kicks. Or this would be even closer.
Happy to see them battling! Hopefully they can put together a few drives in the 2nd half and make Male play all 4!

I guess if it's just the way they practice, they'd change it up after a decade of the "best players" are hurt.
