Flip flop Adams and Goshen for Northridge and Northwood and I'm in. I'm pro Wawasee leaving the NLC for competition reasons and this would really help them.
-
Would Penn accept an NLC invite/ would the NLC invite Penn?
-
Won't let me edit anymore but I did some digging through the incomplete schedules and I think that Taylor might also be an option for week 1.
-
I see Linton has three weeks open on Harrell. Weeks 1, 3 and 6. The best instate option for week one would be Greenwood Christian. Disappointing, but should be better than Phalen Academy. The fun options come in weeks 3 and 6. Indy Lutheran has an opening in week 3 and a solid Wheeler squad is the best possible matchup in week 6. Anyone know who they are actually going to pick up? I figure they'll probably cross state lines sometime at least once.

Love how teams like Sheridan and South Adams will play anyone anywhere.
-
Still might go 0-9 sadly.

He's got Merrillville by 21

For some reason (probably just because no one else really had an opening week 3), my Giants will be travelling to Center Grove. Coach Chambers has tasted the most recent success for the Marion program so he might feel like we're on the way up. Will be interesting to see if CG makes the return trip or if this is just a one year thing. Giants replaced the other hole in their schedule left by Harrison and McCutcheon with one of the Tippy County schools' future conference mates, a surging Lebanon program. I just hope we still have a team after week 3 next year lol

Guy in SIAC 2024 thread said something along the lines of "no geographic fits have reached out." How far do you think the SIAC and it's schools would be willing to push the geographic footprint of the conference?
-
Also. What does Kyle know that he doesn't share as he goes on and on about how there's no teams limit in the conference charter? Is he just word count padding or is he trying to hint at something? I'm not super familiar with his reporting, but he seems to do a really good job.

Hear me out. The G(reat)SIAC. 8 conference games and one week 9 championship crossover. West: Your current 9 SIAC schools. East: The 7 Hoosier Hills schools with Silver Creek and Providence (or Columbus North if they get over that thing where them and East can't be in the same conference). Crown the champions of south every year in week 9.

So who has the SIAC been reacing out to?

4A The East Noble Knights roll into Lucas Oil and they will wear royal blue/royal/royal. Their athletic gold face mask is a nice splash of color, but I wish they had a pair of athletic gold pants to pair with this set. (photo courtesy of WANE 15) The "visiting" New Palestine Dragons have a couple different options. They are likely to go white/white/white, but always have white/white/red in the locker. (photo courtesy of The Daily Reporter) 5A The Warsaw Tigers will be the designated home team on Saturday night. They went all black last week but I really hope they wear those orange pants this week. Would help to have some color in the game. (photos courtesy of Warsaw Times-Union The Decatur Central Hawks wore the opposite combo of Warsaw last week, going white/white/white with unreadable pale gold numbers. A yin/yang feel to the 5A game. (photo courtesy of IndyStar) 6A Westfield are the home team in the mega school matchup. Last week the Rocks wore gold/green/green, and it was a welcome sight over the gold/black/green. I hope they run it back but I wouldn't be surprised if we see the black uniforms. (photos courtesy of IndyStar) Brownsburg will be iced out once again. White/white/white for the Bulldogs. Might go black pants but I doubt it. (photo courtesy of IndyStar -

I love that blue/white/red. Would be nice for contrast if Luers goes all black. RIP I can't edit the post anymore 😞 -
1A North Judson will be the home team in the opener at Lucas Oil. Last week they went gold helmets over blue jerseys and the gold pants. A great combo no doubt, if not a little Tulsa-ish. I'd assume they go with the same combo again, but they could always go gold/blue/blue or gold/gold/gold. (Photo courtesy of The Berne Witness) They will be playing the Providence Pioneers, who lucky for me seemingly only have one set of away unis. A nice all white kit. (Photo courtesy of providenceathletics.net) 2A: Leading off day one of state title weekend will be the Linton-Stockton Miners. Last week they wore their red/white/red away uniforms. This week I'd assume their wear all red from head to toe with blue and white stripes. I like the uni a lot. (Photos courtesy of Vincennes Sun-Commercial) On the other sideline will be the Flying Jets of Adams Central. Last week they went red/white/anthracite, and I suspect they'll run back the same combo. (Photo courtesy of @ACJetsAthletics on Twitter) 3A The home team in class 3A are the Bishop Luers Knights, and I believe they will be dressed in their all black uniforms, although they could throw in a red jersey or red pants. (photos courtesy of Bishop Luers Footall on Instagram) Facing the Knights will be the Patriots of Heritage Hills. I believe HH is gonna roll with a navy/white/navy combo, not sure they've worn anything else on the road this year. I LOVE that everyone wears the red socks. (photos courtesy of the Courier Press)

The IHSAA sucks at handling transfers. I got a story for ya'll. A couple years ago a student transferred from school A to school B. At school B, they were cut from their team in tryouts. I'd assume school A signed off, but I'm not sure. Anyway, the student gets cut from school B so they approach school C. School C goes through the IHSAA process and the eligibilty represtative decides that the student wouldn't have full eligibility at school C. The student's parents enroll the student at school D, the eligibilty representative for the IHSAA is different than the one at school C so the student gets full eligibility and plays in a game after 10 practices.
