  1. Lmao. If you say so. It's like when Notre Dame beats a Top 25 team or two, happens every year, sending them out of the Top 25. Some idiot comes along and says "Notre Dame didn't beat anyone." The comparison here is that Roncalli averaged all those points AFTER they played Dwenger. I didn't know that you new the Dwenger program so well that you can make a "leaps and bounds" claim. Again, Carroll never saw the endzone against the Saints, just two field goals. Had the Chargers not turned the ball over twice, they probably drop 28 on Westfield before halftime............in the rain. Underestimating Dwenger would be irresponsible.
  2. Agree. Maybe I'm naive, but I think all the games have potential to be good. Pretty sure neither team is the same as they were in Week 1. If they are, then that's a problem.
  3. My thought at the beginning of the season was this: If Luers was a state title contender in 3A, this would have been the year they beat Snider. For them to get blanked by Snider one week after Warsaw and East Noble dumped almost 70 points on the Panthers told me that this just may not be a great year for the Knights. That's where I stood then, but I do think Luers is one of those teams that is drastically improved from the beginning of the season. Kudos to them.
  4. Nothing would surprise me, even the North going 6-0. Luers got off to a slow start this year. One can only wonder how good they would be if Northrop didn't recruit a couple of their players.
  5. Well, it relates because his predictions on college football don't mean anything after his assessment of Carroll's season :)). Just busting his b**** of course. The Pitt game just makes Notre Dame look that much better. Okay, I concede, need to keep this about college football. Carroll's 8-4 record is proof that they wouldn't match up to any of their previous 4 seasons.
  6. If this was Carroll's worst team in five years, then Suburban Indy football is HIGHLY overrated this year.
  7. Agree, good to see Syracuse do something good. Never like to see a team hit while they're already down, but ND did play their backups in the second half.
  8. Not sure what to think of your opinion on this one. You still think Carroll has it's worst team in 5 years. Notre Dame beats Bama by two touchdowns, as does Ohio State. Bama isn't Nick Saban good. At least two touchdowns against Texas Tech, give me that. Bottom line.........no Big 12 team should be comparing themselves to the Irish. I wish I had my own talk radio show so I could piss off a bunch of SEC fans. But Ohio State, Notre Dame, and IU......no particular order........might be the best three teams in the country.
  9. Dear Santa, Please give us Miami or Texas A&M in the first round. Thanks
  10. Followed as much as I could while watching the 6A game. St. Joe moved the ball pretty well in the first half despite coming away with only seven points. It was all downhill after Dwenger returned a field goal for a touchdown to go up 10-7, otherwise could have been a 10-3 lead for South Bend. That's all I've got. Appears Dwenger dominated the second half.
  11. Let's just put the whole "Notre Dame gets special treatment" whining to rest. Notre Dame would waste Texas Tech by three touchdowns. For all the SEC whiners out there? You're BEST team came to South Bend in Week 2, when the defense was still suffering growing pains of having a new coordinator, and came away with a one point win as a result of a botched extra point and a phantom facemask penalty that kept an A&M drive alive. Let me say this again. Your BEST team came away with a lucky win at a time when Notre Dame was playing their worst. I have no reason to believe that this team can't win the whole damn thing. Yet you have cry babies out there whimpering about schedule and independence. I need my own radio show so that can rip these guys to pieces. Better yet, performance on the field is what will ultimately make these whiners look stupid.
  12. I was just getting ready to bring that up by saying Tony Dungy learned the hard way. I remember shaking my head thinking, "this team is going to come out flat with three weeks rest." Now, if I knew that, why in the hell didn't a seven figure salary NFL coach know that? Can't say I'm much of a fan of the Colts, but I really enjoyed watching them during the Manning years. Not complaining though since they lost to my beloved Steelers.
  13. You can say that about a lot of teams. If you're not better 14 weeks down the road, then there's a problem. Should be a good game next weekend since Dwenger also is better now than what they were in Week 1 when they lost to Roncalli 3-0. Think about this for a second. Carroll sliced through Westfield and Center Grove like butter, but never even graced the endzone vs Dwenger. Expect a good game.
  14. Not surprised that Merrillville took care of business last night. They have a passionate fan base, it's nice to see them get down to Lucas Oil to support their program. I think this team can give New Pal some fits. Underdog for sure, but this game might be closer than some think.
  15. Carroll's offense sliced through Westfield like butter in the first half. Their first punt wasn't until 4 minutes to go in the third. Best case scenario for Carroll was taking a 28-7 lead into halftime, but the two turnovers were a killer. The first one was devastating because the pass was pretty decent to the Westfield 45 yard line, it was a wet football that gave that one away. But the real killer was the fumble at the Westfield 25 yard line. It really felt like Carroll was destined to go up 21-7 at that point. Instead, Westfield scores with 17 seconds until halftime to tie the game. This is where playing Westfield is difficult. They are a four quarter team and do it better than anyone. They did it to Snider in 2016, almost did it to Crown Point in 2023, and did it to Carroll last night. You HAVE to build a 14 point lead against this team when the opportunity presents, or you're not winning the game. That program is built on their offensive line and they just wear you down. Kudos to Westfield for getting it done. Hard to win a game when you lose the turnover battle 0-4. @temptation You're biased Temp, sorry man, but it shows. You're a massive fan of the HCC.
  16. You said it, not me. I guess we watched the same game.
  17. Westfield 28, Carroll 14 Turnovers the difference
  18. Hell of an effort by St. Joe, but I don't see them coming from behind against this defense. A full quarter to go.
  19. You just won't give will ya?
  20. Westfield 21, Carroll 14 End of 3rd
  21. Westfield forces Carroll's first punt of the game with 2:15 left in the 3rd.
  22. Carroll turns it over AGAIN in Westfield territory. Chargers shooting themselves in the foot the whole game.
  23. Carroll's "worst team in 5 years" isn't looking too bad though ;).
