  1. Going to be a good one. I'd go if it wasn't an hour and forty five minute drive.
  2. Depth? Are we really concerned about depth? Cignetti won with a bunch of kids from James Madison.
  3. SEC fans are delusional. Just heard a fan of A&M say they were the best in the country. If IU and Ohio State played an SEC schedule, they'd both have two losses, lol.
  4. I love that part. As much as I appreciate a team that can run the football, yards are yards. First down are first downs. Touchdowns are touchdowns. Run or pass, whatever puts points on the board.
  5. The whole thing is comical to me. The guy leading the state I live in should have bigger fish in the fryer than sports. He ruined that football team in my opinion. No one in their right mind would want that job...........none of the best coaches anyway.
  6. Wait........weren't you the one who brought it up?
  7. I'm not sure why that bothered you and Bash so much. Center Grove still won the game. I opened the season with Snider and Warsaw. Even if Snider won that game, my observation was still that Warsaw was the harder hitting team that night. Certain hits make that popping sound and just stick with you. Warsaw had a few of them. When you're at a game in person, certain things resonate that you don't get on TV. No qualms with Center Grove being the better team that night. Though not by much. You guys look at the final score and think, okay, CG fairly handled them. At the game, you get a different take. Like CG being stuck in there own territory the entire 3rd quarter, then one big play changes the game. Going up 28-17 was the game changer after Carroll had a couple of opportunities to take the lead. Not really sure why we're still discussing this game. You speak a lot of "rent free," but.............
  8. Look, Ohio State is really good. I have no qualms with people thinking they are the best team in the country. And quite frankly, I'm not sure how IU is going to do when put up against all of their 5-star players. But, if you put their resumes side by side, how in the HELL does the committee put them at #2? Tuesday will be interesting.
  9. Yeah, but gained some traction.
  10. Not sure how Indiana isn't #1 n the first playoff ranking. Their side by side resume with Ohio State is a no contest.
  11. You sure do think about that a lot.
  12. I just find it comical listening to Nick Saben talk about. He tries look impartial, doesn't realize we see right through him.
  13. You and I made the intelligent pick, Southport just got lucky.
  14. That's why I couldn't find ESPN on YouTube TV this morning? Had to go to the ESPN app. Streaming is overrated. Going back to cable.
  15. Thanks for the clips. Pretty much the story of the night for Northrop. They needed several key 4th down conversions to pull this game out. Every time Snider had an opportunity to put the game away, Northrop pulled through on a 4th down it seems. Snider fought. On the surface, it looked like an ugly season for Snider. But the kids played hard and with passion. They'll be back.
  16. Is it just me or do guys like Nick Saban seem offended that there's a level playing field now. He speaks a lot of universities, like Alabama, who spend years building a culture. Now that there's money involved, programs like Indiana have a chance now. Blasphemy? Or just plain fair now? I'm rolling with "just plain fair." What's wrong with a level playing field?
  17. I get that the governor has certain powers. But at what point do they stay in their lane? Sure, make a move to fire the president. Then the new president determines whether the AD stays or goes. Then the AD hires the coach. Isn't that how chain of command is suppose to work? Or am I confused? A governor making decisions regarding athletics is like our modern day fools (actrors/actresses) giving us advice on politics.
  18. Desperate to gain favor to recruits. Like Temp said. Unauthentic. That strategy never works, always backfires. Be you.
  19. I guess I'll never understand. Does it really matter if a guy makes 8 million a year vs 12 million a year. Honestly, I don't think Cignetti would have left IU at 8.6m. Didn't Brad Stevens turn down UCLA or almost 2m/year because he liked Butler at .9m?
  20. One hundred percent on board with this. Why would he leave what he has to go into a train wreck and LSU? Penn State and Florida? No way. Like Cignetti said, be happy with what you have. If it's not broke, why fix it? Ol Miss is a good gig. Agree, at this point, lateral move.
  21. What good coach in there right mind would want this job? President is gone. AD is gone. Head coach was just fired. LSU will be a train wreck before they are a good football team in my opinion. Mike Elko and Lane Kiffin would be out of their mind to leave what they have now for LSU, Penn State, or Florida.
  22. Makes sense, but at the end of the day, they want to win and they're going to fork out another large paycheck to the next guy. My question becomes........what qualifies a governor to make athletic decisions on behalf of the university? And let's be honest, hiring Kelly when they did looked like a genius "win" for the university. Now everyone suddenly wants to blame the guy who hired him? Laughable.
