  1. Well; hangovers are a COMPLETELY different story lol But having a cookout or two or other Summer things does not exclude someone from being concerned about his/her classroom.
  2. Adults gathered outside with no symptoms is NOT even close to the same thing as 30 kids in a confined space/classroom with who knows what for 7 hours a day 5 days a week is completely different.
  3. Again; not the same thing at all compared to a classroom of 30 or more students; not even close to the same thing.
  4. Our program has had some challenges scheduling our out of conference opponents. The reality is there are not many options available. Consider also that transportation budgets are very tight for a number of schools, so scheduling competition close to home can help ease some of that strain.
  5. He did NOTHING wrong.....but by all means, let's continue to attack him and just make absolutely sure no other minority drivers will compete in the cup series.
  6. He never did scoff at the FBI investigation..... One thing he did say "It was a noose," Wallace said. "Whether tied in 2019 or whatever, it was a noose. So, it wasn't directed at me but somebody tied a noose. That's what I'm saying."
  7. Technically. Following American knot terms, the Hangman’s Noose is often just called a noose. In Europe, primarily London, the Hangman’s knot has fewer turns.
  8. But what is clear to see is that the free End runs through the loop on yours, where it does not on the noose. It runs inside the turns. Those differences are visible.
  9. Maybe the comment about them complaining because they can’t be in their pj’s all day has something to do with showing a lack of respect? You are being unfair. Teachers are NOT demanding they stay home. That is an ignorant statement and take. Asking to guarantee certain safety measures are put in place is not even close to wanting to stay home. All the remaining parts as well just further show your complete lack of respect for the profession as well.
  10. That knot has the free end running outside the turns and through the loop, and is only tightened when pulled close to the hook. A noose has the free end running inside the turns. The noose in the garage has the free end running inside the turns. noose on the door 6 turn San Diego Jam Knot That is the same knot.
  11. I know exactly what a noose is, and that was a noose. I had been a scout master for a number of years, and the knot defined as a noose was the exact same knot found on that door.
  12. I don't want people to misconstrue all I am saying. I would LOVE nothing more than to have everything go back to where we were a year ago; as if everything is fine. But I am also realistic enough to know there are too many questions and concerns that really cannot be addressed at this point.
  13. I agree completely, but you and I have seen it often, right?
  14. The decisions are being made mostly by County Health Departments. So, they will be required to follow suit......after all, they do get tax dollars now.
  15. They are all in the same county; so county rivalries for small communities are not bad things.
  16. You cannot put Jussie and Bubba in the same category. Jussie's we know was completely made up. Bubba's garage actually DID have a noose; regardless of how or when it was put there, it is a noose. It is the ONLY garage on the entire NASCAR circuit that has one for a door pull rope. His team reported it; it was investigated. Bubba did nothing wrong.
  17. This is only the defenses version of the story. There is less evidence to support their version than there is for Booker's. If someone WAS punched in the face, who was it? There is not a person in that group that has a mark on them, or even mentions that as happening. If Booker and his group were instigating things, no one can reach that conclusion from the video. Booker IS however, the one pinned against the tree by multiple people. Why didn't anyone from the defense group's side start recording as well???? Funny what people choose to accept as fact and what they choose to reject.
  18. OH MY GOD....call out the National Guard...teachers had a cookout over the Summer. 30 people in a backyard that someone knows (and are adults who would know not to attend if they are infected or feeling symptoms) is a COMPLETELY different thing than 30 kids in a classroom from varying backgrounds that parents are likely sending even if a kid is sick. And having those 30 kids sitting in a confined classroom for a full day is significantly different than a backyard cookout. Did not think that would have to be clarified on a forum like this, but apparently it does. Yeah, you did not try to demean teachers lol....hilarious.
  19. Teachers turn??? lol so you have not been paying attention? Teachers shifted in just a matter of a few days classroom instruction to complete online learning. Your lack of respect for the profession is duly noted. No link to this facebook petition? No details about what is unachievable? Yeah these are unreal times. So, what happens when one of your kids gets sick and cannot go to school? As if you two are the only ones in that spot and that should be the driving force behind schools being open? Here's a hint, if the public schools in a given area do e learning again, private schools will be as well.
  20. I have never made such a claim.
  21. Should they have? Isn't that a local decision?
  22. I focused on teachers because the post I initially replied to did. I think there is a HUGE misconception here about a few things. One; there has been a LOT of concern among teachers about the plans for starting the year. You are just now hearing about that because it wasn't news back in April or May. The start of the school year and the development of more specific plans are news items now. I don't think comparing mailmen and grocery store workers is quite the same as schools opening. Trends may be down, but the July 4th numbers are starting to show up now. We will see.
  23. You might be right. I use the delivery service, so I don't go into those places. But for Raven to single teachers out as the ones doing that, and refer to just one when providing anecdotal evidence is just disingenuous. A lot of people were upset with schools closing, and now that the time to start a new school year is here, people are worried about the lack of safety considerations. The comment by him had nothing to do with the topic. Sure, most teachers WERE upset; disappointed may be a better word because it was inevitable, with the way the year ended. But going back, I don't think anyone saw the spread going the way it has either. The hope was that we would be seeing a decline in positive cases and a decline in deaths.
  24. The bashing of teachers? Yeah, I do see it as fairly representative of society in general.
  25. So you choose to bash all teachers in the first part of this, and use ONE teacher as an example in the last part......got it.
