  1. There is only one thing I would change in regard to this post. New Pal is a solid example of what extra time, effort, energy, and focus can do for a program. But if we compare enrollments of non public schools and the areas they draw a decent portion of their athletes from; urban schools, then the contrast is much more drastic. Bishop Dwenger has a great program. I look forward to seeing what they can do in 5A. A snapshot of Dwenger’s sectional the last several years paints a more clear picture of the notion that attendance as the only factor to determine classes is highly flawed. I don’t know the numbers at other schools, but at NH, 10% of our population is special ed. A majority of them are not able to compete in athletics, much less be in Core 40 classes. Some of those students, based on age alone, would not be eligible if they could participate. The impact of that population at most non public schools is minimal at best, or just non existent. All that said, I am not a fan of separating schools. I do like the success factor, but would prefer the original proposal from the IFCA using 4 years instead of 2.
  2. Jamie is a character I dislike more and more as the show goes on. I guess that means the actor is doing a fantastic job, right? lol. So who dies (disappears) Jamie, or the reporter? Based on the previews, it appears a new coalition between Jenkins and Dutton is forming? Does Dutton explain how the tribe has screwed him over? On a side note, Dish had the episode number wrong. This was episode 5 last night, right? Dish has it as episode 6.
  3. You are correct on all points, but the question was directed to Howe for a reason. His complete loyalty to all things Trump, and utter disdain for anything NOT Trump, are the reasons I asked him. I could have worded it better, I own that.
  4. Would you consider those “fine people” holding nazi flags lower on the scum scale (worse than) than the media you refer to here?
  5. So much for his campaign promise to eliminate the debt in 8 years.
  6. Are the straws made in China too? Asking for a friend. 🤣
  7. 5A was planned that way. 1A through 4A are maxed out at 64 teams each. So the bumping is necessary. 6A is set at 32, and will not change. 5A started at 32 as well, but the intent was to have additional teams added once the smaller classes were set.
  8. Racks is ok for me. My issue is they keep raising prices and the service is lacking most of the time. I did get ticked too when they started charging 4% more for using a card to pay and not cash. I also know that VooDoo is going to close down. The OTB part of it is going to expand, and allow for gaming machines.
  9. I did not read it that way. The way I saw it was that so few people voted for either party, that the ones who do not vote need to just see they could make a difference. I can see how you saw it another way though.
  10. They are in 2A on the IHSAA site. This link is the updated version that includes the adjustments the executive committee approved this Spring. http://www.ihsaa.org/Portals/0/ihsaa/documents/quick resources/Enrollments & Classifications/2019-20, 2020-21 Football Alignment.pdf
  11. The trailer for this looks fantastic. I cannot wait. Oh yeah, and 7 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 https://twitter.com/startrek/status/1152671148372480001?s=21
  12. In New Haven, the OTB has a restaurant called VooDoo Lounge....great Cajun menu. The downside as a coach though, is it closes 30 minutes after the last horse race. The kitchen closes a bit earlier, so on road trips coming home, we have to call in our order. 😃
  13. This could have gone in the new normal thread, well because yeah....lol sit through a few parent teacher conferences I have had over the years, and yeah, I can see it happening. https://local.theonion.com/unstable-relative-toddler-compete-for-attention-at-fam-1819570990?utm_medium=SocialMarketing&utm_content=Main&utm_source=Facebook&utm_campaign=SF
  14. Or Betty White; or even QE2 for that matter?
  15. I have a funny feeling that Ice Cube would be a little more expressive with his reply than this, but it’s still funny.
  16. Was this about the same time that he was sued by the Department of Justice for unfair housing practices? Because minorities could not get apartments in his buildings? Or was this before? Or maybe he did this to show DOJ officials he was not a racist?
  17. Just finished season 1 yesterday, and wow. Outstanding writing. And similar to what the writers on Shameless can do; there is a point where you will hate every character on the show, but fall back in to liking them again. And I LOVE the setting for the show. Montana is my favorite state to visit. It has been a long time since I have been, but the views are absolutely amazing. One drive, on a road called Going to the Sun Road, is the most incredible stretch of road I have ever driven. I have actually had a couple of encounters with wildlife there where I really thought my life was at risk. I can still visualize hiking through a valley of multiple peaks that create an amphitheater of rock. It seems like there are hundreds of waterfalls that feed the lake at the bottom of it, and the sound of the waterfalls echoing through is still one of the most awe inspiring things I have ever seen. Season 2 starts after the workout and breakfast.
  18. On a national level, there are excuse makers, I will not deny that. But in many of the instances you mention, there was plenty of criticism. As far as Benghazi goes, no excuses. I will say one person who gets little to no blame in it....Trey Gowdy. He and the people he had on the investigation completely f’ed it up. As far as the President lying about his relationship, there were plenty across the spectrum that were critical. Maybe you forgot he was impeached? As far as the rookie congresswoman, you must have ignored the backlash she got from many in her own party? Clinton’s connection to Epstein is undeniable, and I am willing to wait and see what the investigation turns up. No doubt the Clinton’s took cover ups to a new level. So to say that actions are being painted over is disingenuous at best. I am not looking for or taking any moral high ground here at all, but at some point, I will even call out my friends and family for things they say or do. Having only 4 people on the R side in the house vote to condemn the latest comments is a telling, and sad sign. To see the what about game, or to say he gets a pass based on what others have done is sad too. Multiple wrongs do not make what he does ok, or even right.
