D-Day - 75th anniversary.
Irishman replied to swordfish's topic in Gridiron Out of Bounds's Out of Bound Forum
This is a great summation by Andy Rooney "There have only been a handful of days since the beginning of time on which the direction the world was taking has been changed for the better in one 24-hour period by an act of man." https://www.cbsnews.com/news/andy-rooney-on-world-war-ii-d-day-a-day-unlike-any-other-60-minutes-2019-06-06/ -
Add two more weeks to the football season
Irishman replied to Trojanmp52's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Multiple issues with it. With this being a basketball state, there is no way anyone would really support going beyond Thanksgiving weekend to end the season. So, to start two weeks earlier puts the officially start date for practice in the middle part of July. Not really a fan of that myself. -

Just how petty can this guy get? I seriously thought this was from The Onion when the headline first showed up on my timeline. https://www.wsj.com/articles/white-house-wanted-uss-john-mccain-out-of-sight-during-trump-japan-visit-11559173470?emailToken=ca887c08f025f5a5b7a01dbde32c838etBzq0FwbTXJrUQ8MUigaUjoAwWzGVOHT66U4wF7JggEVN49VMPJcywDwL4QIC90yIeTde53bioBxoijKFGMKce+lggzjkFmquqfBI+eoiwkN6qJGKPyIRwCj2ZtjqkkRe2VMQFp9bRWUdJs0k7z4QA%3D%3D&reflink=article_imessage_share -
The New Normal, round 2
Irishman replied to Muda69's topic in Gridiron Out of Bounds's Out of Bound Forum
I would disagree with the article. Just recording herself is one thing. BUUUUUT, someone else was in the video, AND she shared it. Did she have that person’s permission to share it with her friends? The whole sharing thing is a problem as well. She put her friends at risk as well, without their consent. As for the author’s claim that it should just be a conversation between the parents, admins and her is wrong as well. Sure the parents should have a conversation, but it should have been a conversation that took place long before something like this happened. -

Per Warren Central Athletics' twitter; the position is open again. Kendrick took a position on the college level.

That is sad enjoy your time there fox. I want to go there as well some day, to see the places my grandparents came from in County Galway, and to see the family we still have there.- 64 replies

WOW....that is incredible. First, that many people made it, and second that that many people are there at one time. I know that 20 plus years ago, Nepal had a tight grip on who was granted a permit to climb, and that a permit was a steep 50 G's, which did not include gear or a Sherpa.- 64 replies

New Donald Trump thread
Irishman replied to Muda69's topic in Gridiron Out of Bounds's Out of Bound Forum
I am confused sf? Did Trey Gowdy lead a two year investigation of Hillary Clinton? What was the result of that investigation? I am not saying she was not at fault, but I lost any respect I had for Trey Gowdy at that point. He was the lead, and completely screwed it up. How many indictments came out of it? HRC was questioned for 11 hours, and to what end? For Howe to be so "righteous" in his complaints about Mueller's investigation, I don't recall hearing a peep out of him criticizing Gowdy and his colleagues. -

I am guessing your criticism of the investigation of Hillary Clinton would be the same? -

Along those lines; how about the reproduction of All in the Family and The Jeffersons last night? Fantastic job, especially since it was live. And how groundbreaking were those shows, and Norman Lear, for that matter? I am amazed, as I watch reruns of them now that our dad let us watch, or that he even watched them himself. Dad and Archie Bunker could have been the same guy. I still remember hearing the N word on them, and being shocked then. It is crazy to think about those shows and think, no way those shows would be made today. Funny that both episodes chosen for last night had George saying it. It was garbled a bit on the All in the Family episode, and I must have missed it in The Jeffersons.- 64 replies

Thoughts on Tweaking Success Factor
Irishman replied to Basementbias's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
A lot of schools are in the class they are because of what other kids do though. Our enrollment is impacted pretty significantly by a number of kids who are physically and/or mentally unable to function much less play a sport. We get kids who transfer in, including just last week, from FW that get kicked out of their school because of what they did. How is it fair we are in a class that has more students than us with that population not having any impact on their enrollment? If your argument is that kids are kids, you are more than welcome to visit. Better hurry, there are only two days left to do so this year. 🙂 -
It seems the trend with the semi epic shows that the door is left open for movies and spinoff series.

I cannot remember who the other team was, or what the pitch count was from our scorebook. sorry
