  1. I had thought that too.....until seeing the Bama A&M game last night.
  2. I think the heat really cranked up on that seat.
  3. Just curious who wanted OU to be ranked this high? getting whipped by Texas, giving up 38 points in just one half is not good. So much at stake for them too; and even Rattler as a Heismann candidate. Getting pulled from the game won't help that, or even his draft rating.
  4. This is him signing his contract......representing his junior high with the shirt is really cool.....and yep, it is an EACS school πŸ™‚
  5. It’s a great look. I think he will fit well in Green Bay
  6. Because of roster issues, the staff tried making him an inside linebacker. The reality was that he was an edge pass rusher. But, being the team guy, he tried bulking up to play inside; and everything changed for him. He was slower, and less athletic, and just did not have the instincts needed. Someone will pick him up and move him back outside.
  7. To the original question, I think the only thing that has come from the IHSAA is that with an all in format, draws are blind draws. To be honest, I think that is the ONLY reason I can recall for not seeding it. I agree though that it should be seeded. I think the discussion has been around longer than this digest has been πŸ™‚ There really is no logical reason to not seed. In times where programs are struggling financially, including the IHSAA itself, the smart move would be to have the bigger matchups later. More neutral fans are likely to attend after their team's season has ended compared to having marquee matchups in the first round. Since playoff ticket revenue is shared among schools, it is obvious how to make the pot as large as possible.
  8. This shows it better...I don't believe this is a catch. That said, I don't think this is a camera angle that was available to replay officials. My guess is that similar to IU's stadium, the views for camera angles are limited at Ross Ade.
  9. Seems Urban Meyer may be finding out another difference between college and the NFL. Being the hero that he was to Columbus likely afforded him some protection from such things, but while struggling in Jacksonville, everyone is watching. hello….USC? Yeah, Urban here. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ https://itsgame7.com/new-angle-shows-exactly-what-urban-meyer-did-with-hand-video/
  10. I hope he recovers fully. I love his determination after all he has been through.
  11. ends of the earth huh? A flat earther I see.
  12. That very well could be a part of it. But before Alvarez, what was Wisconsin known for? Hockey; did not have baseball. You could also say that MSU has long been a BBall school too, maybe not the extent that Indiana has been. The mindset certainly has had an impact on the UK programs as well, but Stoops at UK seems to be on track.
  13. Good work....thanks for that. I did something similar many years ago when the discussion of a multiplier was used as a way to level the playing field. My point was that may be a goal, but will never happen. Back then, about half the schools in a given class had a losing record. While the names of those teams may differ from year to year, the number was pretty consistent. My guess is if you did the same thing over multiple years, you would get very similar results.
  14. I also wonder too how some programs can bounce back so much faster than others. Penn State is a prime example. After facing the harshest punishment, deservedly so, a program can face, they are once again a top 5 team. Michigan State seems to be a much more competitive team after a few years of battling on about the same level as IU. If someone says those programs have more tradition, I say you have to go pretty far back to find it; to a point that young kids will not make it a consideration. 15. Here is what I believe is the flaw in the video....The Mercy Rule was just a proposal at that point. There was consideration given to what it would look like, including having coaches agree to things outside what is written. So, what was said in the video as a proposal did not make it into the actual rule or by law.
  16. I refer to this often, and saw this ad this weekend. Look at how empty Camp Randall is for a home game in the clips. Wisconsin was a regular cellar dweller with IU for a lot of years. So, what did Alvarez do? he permanently fixed the trajectory of the program. Sure they are down, but no one here doubts they will be better soon, right? So, what is it that he was able to do that IU is missing? Or does IU have the pieces in place to follow a similar path that worked for Wisconsin? https://www.ispot.tv/ad/qLii/university-of-wisconsin-madison-unstoppable

I see comments like these and think of Michael Schumacher in F1. he was so dominant that I do think he was bored. During the US Grand Prix, he was way out in front and lost control of his car. he still won, but was asked later about it and he did admit he was kind of bored and lost concentration.
  18. Agreed...the Georgia game a few years ago was far worse. I have noticed over the years when tailgating is that there are a LOT of flags for other schools along with ND flags flying........I am thinking for many that those other schools are the primary team they root for? One friend who is a season ticket holder is a UNC and ND fan. That may be the oddest combo yet that I am aware of.
  19. Nice win for the Packers today; played well in all phases. Loved seeing Cobb score twice and be a bigger part of the game plan. Marcedes Lewis was a big part too. Pittsburgh really misses Claypool.
  20. That is why I liked being in the pressbox as an assistant. πŸ˜„ I did get a warning one time though while up there. πŸ˜„
  21. I think it goes back to Penix being a threat to run last season, and not a threat this season. Even with Tuttle in the game last night being able to run the ball, they were able to gain some yards on the ground.
  22. Not that I am into moral victories at all because losses are still losses, but look at the rankings of the teams they lost to. The Iowa game is really the only one of those that they just got whipped in all phases. Depth is the issues as guys are getting banged up, and that will take a couple years at least to build up.
