  2. Bloomington North 13 Terre Haute South 6, (10:30, 3rd)
  3. Bloomington South 35 Terre Haute North 14 (8:09, 3rd) South held THN deep in their territory on a 3 and out and after a very short punt, South got the ball on the THN 28, eventually scoring on a 17 yard pass to Maveric Thiery.
  4. Bloomington South 28 Terre Haute North 14 (11:23, 3rd) South's Maddix Blackwell intercepted a THN pass on their opening possession of the 2nd half, returning it to the THN 8 yard line. Maveric Thiery ran it in from there.
  5. Bloomington South 21 Terre Haute North 14 (half) South scored on a 60 yard pass play with just 36 seconds left in the half. South could have had a larger lead in the game but were stymied by penalties, committing 9 penalties for 77 yards in the half.
  6. Bloomington South 14 Terre Haute North 14 (00:1, 1st) On a 3rd and fairly long, THN connected on a 65 yard pass play for a TD. Major penalties continue to haunt South as THN botched the PAT attempt, but South was called for a face mask penalty giving them another chance at the PAT and they converted. Terre Haute South 3 Bloomington North 0 (end of 1st)
  7. Bloomington South 14 Terre Haute North 7 (1:11, 1st) After forcing a three and out, South took the ball right down the field again with Maveric Thiery scoring on a 13 yard run. Thiery was questionable for this game with a shoulder injury.
  8. Bloomington South 7 Terre Haute North 7 (3:22, 1st) South scored quickly after THN tried an onside kick with South recovering at the 50 yard line. This was the first score of the season given up by THN as they started out with two shutouts in a row.
  9. Terre Haute North 7 Bloomington South 0 (5:23, 1st) South has been their own worst enemy in this game with major penalties on both sides of the ball. Their opening possession went into THN territory, but they were pushed back by penalties, and then on THN's scoring drive, South was hit with two 15 yard penalties with one being a PI after South had what they thought was a pick. Not a good start on the discipline side of the game.
  10. Thanks for the info. There have been major staff reductions at newspapers all over the country which has spread thin the sports staff at the H-T with IU sports being the priority. I remember when they had dedicated sports writers for each of the local schools, and you had more in-depth coverage on them. Times have changed.
  11. Bloom. North - North has looked pretty good in their first two games, and TH South has easily won their first two games, but I have a gut feeling that North will take this one on the road. Bloom. South - After having a subpar game against the Arties, I think they will rebound on the road in this one regardless of the injuries. TH North has yet to be scored on in two games but you have to consider the competition they have faced. Both of TH North's opening opponents so far are 0-2. South's new QB, David, has to make better decisions with the ball. Col. North - I have to go with the home team on this one.
  12. Martinsville 22 Bloomington South 6 (final) A well deserved win for the Arties and a poorly played game by South. South's new QB showed his inexperience tonight by throwing three really bad picks, all in Martinsville territory, which two of those resulting in TDs that were the difference in the game. South also really hurt themselves on offense with too many critical penalties that really cost them.
  13. Martinsville 22 Bloomington South 6 (6:08, 4th) With South in Arties' territory, the Arties intercepted another pass which eventually led to another TD. Two-point conversion good. Both picks by the Arties tonight came in their territory and led to TDs.
  14. Martinsville 14 Bloomington South 6 (0:52, 3rd) With South at the Arties 39 yard line, the Arties intercepted a pass which was thrown right to the DB and was returned to the South 10 yard line which resulted in a very short field and a TD. Two-point conversion was good.
  15. Bloomington South 6 Martinsville 6 (4:24, 3rd) After the Arties scored, South took the ball right down the field for their score which was punctuated by a 40 yard run by Aaron Chestnut. The PAT (kick) failed.
  16. Martinsville 6 Bloomington South 0 (3rd, 7:09) The Arties score first on blown coverage by South on a 54 yard pass play. The receiver got behind the defense by about 15 yards and pretty much waltzed into the end zone. South's starting RB Maveric Thiery is out of the game with a shoulder injury. Two point conversion try failed.
  17. Bloomington North 41 Bedford NL 0 (2:13, 2nd) PAT (kick) failed.
  18. Bloomington North 35 Bedford NL 0 (7:13, 2nd) North is really taking the Stars to the woodshed so far. BNL has gone to a new QB.
  19. Bloomington South 0 Martinsville 0 (half) Both teams have been able to drive the ball until they get to the red zone. Penalties have been a real bugaboo for South on offense.
  20. Bloomington South 0 Martinsville 0 (1052, 2nd) Both teams stopped deep drives.
