    Seeing pizza squares on the menu made every day better. If a school doesn't offer pizza squares then transferring to a school that does should be acceptable in all cases.

    I had the same thought. Not a shot at Andrean but it's a fair question given that they are leaving now. There are parents & coaches who steer kids to programs with big time uncommitted recruits because that's where the scouts will be. Did they go to Andrean because of Bowen and are transferring now for something similar?

    Anybody else going to spend an entire day watching (mostly high school) football?

    On offense the QB and TE return as well as the center. Defense will return a couple linemen and a couple linebackers. I'm sure there are more but those are off the top of my head. But the cupboard is full. JV & freshmen lost only one game between them, the classes are split in middle school but our 8th grade class is loaded, and the Junior Trojans (5th & 6th grade) finished the season undefeated IEFA state champs.

    I'm technically a boomer and I'm not happy about it. I was born over 19 years after VJ day! I wasn't created by a post-war celebration. I was more "let's put up the Christmas tree and drink a few beers".

    Not sure if any Carroll fans post here but CG can relate to your tribute to Owen Scheele. We had a player named Tyler Genneken who passed away and our 2013 season was dedicated to him. We thought we were a team of destiny because of him. Instead we had to find the meaning of the semi-state loss.

    I always told my kids that another word for "almost" is "didn't".

    Mainly two parents who weren't happy with junior's playing time. The overwhelming majority of CG folks rallied around him in a big way. And believe it or not that was 5 years ago.

    CG's 1-tech is Nate Johnson. His long blonde flow is a tribute to his mother who passed away a couple years ago. Nate is also an exceptional wrestler.
