  1. We are too big and talented for them. FC has dominated the line of scrimmage. NA did handily beat Bloomington South. Albeit a down version.
  2. Floyd Central 42 New Albany 13 Half I am extremely disappointed. I expected this to be a heck of a game. I’m going to be polite about this. Floyd is just a mile ahead of their rival.
  3. It is also possible, that perhaps I read someone else’s opinion and change my opinions. That happens in life. You obviously know what you’re talking about.
  4. I will say it once more so it sinks in. I was not trying to criticize them. I was discussing their current football situation.
  5. Fair points indeed. It’s definitely not a shot at them. I would just personally like to see them do better. Communities like that could benefit from a good HS Football team.
  6. Madison. Here is a little blurb about them. Virtually everything that could go wrong for Madison did on Friday, a comedy of errors that took the Cubs from what could have been their first win of the season to an embarrassing blowout loss. There were interceptions (three of them) and fumbles (three more), a blocked punt returned for a touchdown and another botched snap on a punt that ended with a safety. Four unsportsmanlike penalties and 120 yards in penalties were just the icing on the cake. About the only thing that went right for Madison was when officials mercifully decided, on the last play of the game, to wipe a second safety off the board. Im not trying to be harsh here. But this doesn’t seem like a team that is well coached. I mean, I know they have a shortage of talent and have for a while, but you would think Madison could find a coach that can teach fundamentals. I thought after week 1 they would be improved but it seems they’re going backwards. I know they’re leaving the HHC, but does it matter? They can’t hardly beat anyone. You would think they could find a good 1-A coach or something that would come there. Heck, I’m sure East has some Assistants that would do better there.
  7. They just need 4 more guys like him, and they’d definitely beat East. Lol.
  8. This weeks matchups Columbus East at Jeff; The Red Devils have really struggled. And East has played nothing but high quality competition. This will be a practice game for East. I have the Os by a score of 57-0. BNL vs Madison; Madison still looks like Madison. They have one foot out the door. The coaching and talent in Lawrence County is better than Jefferson County. I have the Stars winning big. 35-0. Seymour at JC-The Owls played much better last Friday. They definitely have the best team in this matchup. I see the Owls winning here 27-7. FC at NA; Game of the week. Battle of the Rusty Anchor. FC has won 5 in a row in the series. The Dogs are the most improved team in the HHC. Really strong running game with a lot of athletic guys running it. Already a few decent wins under their belt. FC looked great in their two wins, but hit a roadblock against probably a top 3 team in Ohio. Still, they did show some good stuff offensively in that matchup. Their passing game against NA will be the difference. I see some points being scored between too really motivated sides. I’ll take my Highlanders in this one, 35-28.
  9. Oh I know. We did that already. I’m not going to fire that debate up. But I’m definitely willing to die on that hill.
  10. Floyd Central and New Albany are pretty good schools. I don’t think I would send my kids to Jeffersonville. Silver Creek is a really good school too with really nice facilities. I really wish they could join the HHC because they are pretty similar to FC just with less students.
  11. It’s funny cuz people around here talk about how Floyd is up to about 2000 kids. Probably a little less. But I’m like, “have y’all seen the schools up North?“ Lol.
  12. Elder 42 FC 14 Elder was in control the entire game and was the better, bigger, faster team for sure. FC did some good things on offense. Was in the RedZone a few times where they didn’t score or they may have had a few more TDs. I don’t think we will see another passing attack like that for a while. Some good games coming up with a Rivalry game against a much improved New Albany team and a what will definitely be a tough matchup with East. I hope everyone has a good Labor Day weekend!
  13. Elder 35. FC 14. 1st play of the half was a 70 yard Wenkers Wright TD. He’s had a good game. 2 point conversion good. Good on Floyd to not give up at halftime. Bragg teams won’t quit.
  14. Oh I bet. They were projected to be extremely strong.
  15. I forgot that Rodney McGraw played for Elkhart. Man that guy is a beast.
  16. Elder 28 FC 6. Elder destroying our Secondary with long pass plays. LaSalle had 4 D-1 DBs and couldn’t stop them. Not a huge suprise that our guys can’t either. Get tickets for East vs FC. I think it will be a high scoring game.
  17. Elder 21. FC 6. 2nd Q. Floyd forced a fumble and then ended up going for it on 4th and 2 with a fake punt and were denied. They’re playing very aggressively. But Elder is just way too talented and too well coached.
  18. Elder 14. Floyd 7. Elder has had 2 long pass plays for TDs. Floyd had a 60 yard pitch and catch to Quenichet but had an INT inside the 20. Wenkers Wright had a 45 yd run to set up a TD. Floyds Offense is pretty damn legit. But defensively, they’ll struggle with a really good passing attack.
  19. Very tough matchup for the Highlanders tonight. Main goal, is to bring a healthy team home. A lot of big conference games coming up. Good luck tonight y’all.
  20. Week 3 picks. NA vs Jeff-NA has been a huge suprise to a lot of people. Their defense isn’t great but they can definitely run the ball and score some points. NA wins 41-14. Madison vs Seymour-Seymour looks pretty down. Madison has an outstanding running back. I like Madison here. 28-14. East vs Elkhart-East didn’t take long to right the ship. This will be a tough game for them. I say East wins this game 28-21. FC vs Cincinnati Elder-Heart says Highlanders. Head says perennial powerhouse. Elder is a big time team, and I’m afraid FC isn’t at that level yet. Elder by a score of 48-17. BNL vs JC-Two struggling teams. BNL is in better shape though. BNL wins by a score of 21-7. Good luck HHC people.
  21. It’s going to be a tough row to hoe up in Cincinnati. Just hoping we bring everyone back healthy. I think the worst we do this year is 7-2.
  22. Yeah they have Zen Michalski, OT, commited to Louisville. Pre-Season All-State. Wenkers Wright, RB, committed to Illinois State(D-1 FCS). Pre-Season All-State. The guys that have really stood out are QB Tristan Polk, 533 yds, 7 TDs. And Kaleb Quenichet 12 catches, 336 yds, 5 TDs. I don’t know if those guys will get D-1 offers but they’ll play CFB somewhere.
  23. Cole Hussung went to Michigan. The kicker that replaced him is about as good.
