Never said I didn't care about the fans, or that I think high school football is better without those pesky fans.  Simply implying that fans talk a lot about a lot, and more often than not, they know very little about what they are talking about.  Coaches don't listen to a word of wisdom that comes raining down on us from the stands.  They are better coaches and officials than anyone down on the field.  That's all.  We are playing Male for, at minimum, the next few years unless something changes.

I understand coach. I’d be the same way. It doesn’t matter to me who you guys play, because I’ll be in the stands regardless. I’ve never been a huge fan of the Male series because I don’t like the matchup, but FC has their reasons for playing that game and hopefully we’ll come out on top here in the future.

    Voices from the stands.

I can understand how that will bother a coach. But I can assure you, as someone who spent years in that program, had 8 relatives play in that program, have had family boost the program, Floyd Central fans care about as much as anywhere around here. You will have a full stadium more often than not. A few “voices” is to be expected.

I don't disagree with you, I am just telling you what I was told. BNL sticks out as someone I was told and I remember that because I was surprised. But I could be remembering wrong. JC & Seymour for sure.

It is generally the first 6 weeks or so of their schedule, depending on the size of their district. Some districts have just 4 teams, so only 3 games that they will typically play at the end of the season. Others have 6, so that will usually be the last 5 weeks of the season.

I did see FC picked up Cincinnati Elder for week 3. Quite a step up in competition. Good for them. They already play Kentucky powerhouse, Male, during week 1.

I was kind of suprised when I found that out. I figured they’d go in a different direction, but anytime you can play a school like Cincinnati Elder, I think you jump on it. A good experience for these kids.

Just from my perspective, I don’t see them wanting to play FC anymore, because they haven’t had any Athletic success against us recently. I can say the same for the other 2 River Schools against them. However, due to proximity, those might be teams they will want to keep. Jennings County as well. BNL is a LONG way away from Madison.

  5. Penn State will always be a joke of a University.

I wonder how Penn State fans really feel about "stealing" a commit from Indiana.  The two schools never in the past were mentioned in the same sentence.  One was considered a CFB Blueblood.  The other a perennial doormat.

    Seems odd

And yet, Penn State has to squeak by that perennial doormat, every season.

Well, Seymour is headed back to rebuilding while they are currently rebuilding lol. We can’t keep a coach here.

Kelly is out- agreed to move to HSE to be their new head coach. Moving to a more target rich environment. Disappointing really, but not unexpected.

it seems the going rate for Seymour coaches is 3-4 years, then get out while you can.

hiring new coaches, or at least good young ones seems to be a bad model for Seymour. Spend 3-4 years building rapport and use as a springboard to bigger program. It not working. Shattuck to the new power in the north at Elkhart, and now Kelly to HSE.

If I were Seymour, I would hire someone off of Columbus East staff. I would imagine they have a lot of good Asst coaches and the proximity to Seymour is a fit so they may not need to relocate. I was always an advocate of hiring HCs that had considerable HC experience, but seeing how good a job coach Bragg has done being elevated from an Asst, has made me like going that route now as well. Seymour has shown recently that they have enough good talent to compete in the HHC. Just need the right guy that will stick.

Lol that’s what people think but Wisconsin historically doesn’t land top recruits at QB.  Over the last 10 years or so...if a QB starts all games for them (so 12-14) they finish usually with 2400-2800 yards on about 320 ish attempts...which is about 22 attempts per game on 14 games played.

Graham Mertz though...he was a top 5 QB recruit.  The reason hornibrook transferred to FSU was because he thought Mertz would come in as a fresh and play. But it was Coan.

I would expect to be surprised this upcoming season in just how pass happy wisconsin becomes. Ground game will still be great but watch what happens when there is a high level recruit behind one of the best OLs year in and year out.

After he sees Micheal Penix throw for 300 yards and 4 TDs against Wisconsin next season, he’ll be even more interested in Indiana. Jeff Brohms offense will be appealing to. Jack Coan is decent but Wisky will always be run dominant.

That's pretty awesome. With RB Wright also having a BGSU offer, that's two guys with sure fire D1 offers. Full ride D1 guys out of Floyd have not happened very often over the years. Congrats to the two and the program.

Coach Bragg is obviously a very good Head Coach and he also walked into the program at a good time. FC has had the good fortune lately of putting out some really talented athletes. Obviously some of that credit goes to the coaches. It’s exciting to see kids like Zen Michalski, Wenkers Wright, and Tristan Polk playing there right now. Obviously our number 1 priority is keeping people safe and healthy. I do hope we’ll get to see Football this fall. I hope everyone is safe and healthy.

It just doesn't feel like a stadium to me with no away bleachers. Everything you mentioned you're absolutely correct, the home stands are very big, press box is extremely nice. Idk.. just need some away bleachers. The HHC just doesn't travel well though. Unfortunate.

That’s a big part of the reason we don’t.

At New Albany ... I get it.  At Jeff, maybe a little, but how does Floyd central not have a visitors seating section?

It’s a bigger stadium in person. This is a pretty far away shot. The visitors section is the far left side of the stands. It’s a nice facility with a really nice press box, bathrooms, concessions, and all of that. Maybe when they become a little more relevant in the playoffs, we’ll have the need for opposing stands.
