Mine just happened to have a different take on the subject than the one that he presented. And why the name calling? I merely posted an item that showed the details behind the fact that the picture posted was in error. I also posted the specific data, in total, along with the reasoning and support behind it. I also posted another article that actually speaks directly to potential climate change implications in that harbor and specifically Fort Denison which is the structure in the picture. So we can't have discussions or disagreements anymore about data without it turning into a shouting match with insults?

I provided the link to the WHOLE article so that ANYONE could read the context and also a secondary research study ... unlike the original post that I was responding to which has no reference and is also factually wrong. And, hopefully, anyone who can read a graph could see the exact same info in the graph that listed in that line. More specifically, look at the vertical line. Counting back from 2010 for 100 years, you'll see the level was roughly around 6.98 meters and extending up to roughly 7.05 meters around 2010 ... a difference of roughly .07 meters. A meter is roughly 39 inches. 39 inches time .07 gives you 2.73 inches. 2.73 inches divided by 12 inches in a foot ... gives a rough back-of-the-envelope reading of .2275 feet which is close enough for eyeballing to the .21 as stated in the line under the graph. Again, nothing left out and nothing misleading ... unless conspiracies abound.

It doesn't surprise me. I recall when I had heart surgery that the bill was some ungodly amount before insurance and by the time insurance had done their part and the hospital had done its deductions and everything else, it ended up being easily manageable. It's been a long time, but I'll see if I can track down ballpark numbers to give an idea.
