You will be pleasantly Impressed. For those general sports fans, who have never been, this is a bucket list to do. Number 1 high school sporting event in the state. Unmatched in the country, some will profess.
Please, any time he entices these guys and doesn't offer regular scholarships the point is valid. Depriving the smaller schools of very talented players.
I beg to differ, please explain to me how, for example, Spegal, would NOT, make Indiana State, Ball state or other college’s in the state, better.
And if you want ,go ahead and “ knock yourself out”
You bet, I’m very concerned with The health of all of the state of Indiana football.. I could care less about what the other states do, common practice doesn’t make it a healthy practice.
This post seems like it really garnered the most up tics. So I will say that if the mighty alluring Big Ten coach thought the guy was the best talent ,then why not pony up the scholarship. Indiana has as many as Ohio State. It’s not so much IU didn’t recruit in state, no one ever said that, but their was mention that they couldn’t get the elite prospects. This PWO route doesn’t address Indiana’s real problem.
I understand , yes, and I was being facetious, but sure ,the big state schools have all the drawing power ,within each respective state, to do exactly as you phrased it.
What are you saying? Indiana’s preferred walk ons will be their starters in 2 years? With what they are bringing in on scholarships , not a crazy scenario.
Anybody want to comment on the sub par recruiting of the Hoosiers this year? Bottom of the conference. I’m not feeling it, going into next year. I know Nowlin is loving it. He can keep his comments to himself.
Come on here? Indiana and Purdue ain’t ever in a hundred million years Going to get in the big three circle with these Indiana elite “marginal D1” athletes. I know what your getting at ,but it takes years and years of landing 4and 5 star athletes. Starting with indiana high school kids.
I have never once, in this thread abashed or chided students, or their decisions to select the college they wanted to attend.
You all jumped on that stage coach. And it left town.
Not a good look for Indiana, at near the bottom of the BIG class rating. also. Mark Hagan all ready to coach at Texas. Unless Fred ante's up to keep him.
I understand this, grants. The schools would not be able to keep their doors open If they didn’t reserve over half of their grants in aid for athletes.
As a matter of fact, DIII schools in Indiana would not be able to keep their doors open if not for athletes deciding to enroll to further their sport careers. The sole reason they reserve over half academic scolis for athletes.
