For some reason, in name of sportsmanship and player safety gets thrown out after Sectionals....... makes no sense to me either.

Love this: Coach Meeks does the same thing for every banquet packet to give to the players dating it back to 1898!! RCHS also had our best Decade in total wins as well along with our 1st State Championship and Program's 600th win this year as well. Good Stuff for program historian buffs

Based on the article I just read on Colby (Austin) returning to Kokomo, looks like Western and Kokomo will be playing week 1, that is a tremendous week 1 game for both neighboring schools!!

He has as been a great ambassador for IFCA and State of Indiana, look forward to seeing what is next for Coach Wimmer. Could he transition into College ranks? Franklin? He does a great job spearheading the IFCA Spring Clinic each year.

No doubt about it, go for 2 was the call, no hindsight about it. I know I have stated a few times on here that they DID indeed offer guys who ended up not choosing to come to Purdue to help on OL I had seats directly behind PU bench this past weekend, right behind OL area, on the 4th down play that OL missed their assignment, OL Coach Williams came unglued and benched the OL who messed up and inserted True Freshman, Craig, who went on and had a tremendous rest the game at LG. I believe a lot of those young OL were used sparingly to keep their 4 game minimum in place so they can tag them with a Red Shirt. Craig being one of them. It is easier to sell skill kids to come to Purdue then OL, but they are working very hard at it, they also have 4 or 5 more offers out currently right now to JUCO and Grad Portals, Powell from Stanford in Grad Portal and this kid from INDY JUCO: who PU is in his final 3. I will say, I thought the offensive line played much better when they inserted another walk on, GARVER in at Center. Front 7 is Light, no doubt. even Karlaftis is undersized, right now, for his position, but he is working his tail off to still be impactful and he was. Losing Neal for the year really really hurt them inside, and of course Bailey, because the DEPTH is not there....YET, but they have some pieces to put in there to build around, they are just young. In 2020: Purdue's Defense just has to be Above average and they will win alot of games, Purdue is going to score points next year, just need to get enough stops throughout the game, I will be disappointed if they do not eclipse the 8+ win mark in 2020. SCHEME WISE: it was disappointing to see so many 3rd and longs ALL YEAR long get converted, bugaboo again this year for Holt's defense. I could see Brohm giving him 1 more year to fix it, if its much more the same in 2020, i cannot fathom he gets retained. Too many miscommunications on the back end throughout the year, I am sure youth related, but your job as a coach is to make sure at the minimum they are in the right spot, whether they can make the play is the other issue. I know Brohm has made a few comments throughout the year on how he wants to see the defense aggressive at all times, it just seemed to me, there was too many times 3rd and 8 + that Holt went to zone with 4 man rush, Karlaftis would turn the corner, QB Step up, no other pressures from the other 3 and all LB in zone, QB would run for 1st or WR sit in soft spot for easy compeltion. Case in point, 3rd and 13 in 1st OT vs Hoosiers: CB looked to be in a cover 3 and he bailed all the way 7 YARDS INTO THE ENDZONE, IU WR literally just ran to the front pylon, turned around, waited for the ball. 4 man rush, no pressure, CB is covering back 3rd of the EZ on 3rd and 13!!!! UGH

Tipton folks stated they thought they were a year away with some of their youth on the field in the JR and SOPH classes. Western was hurt so hard by the injury bug thoughout the year, but with Erb's SR year, Padget being back, maybe #22, forgot his class, but he was very good before his injury, they will be a tough out for sure. Folks around the water cooler talked about how many SR are now gone at Cass, so looks like a different team set to take the field for the Kings in 2020 as stated above. HH is always a question mark. They looked good at times on film when I have seen them, but do not know much about them, maybe @gonzoron the lone Husky left can enlightened us. I like their QB, but no idea how many skill / ol they lost this past year Northwestern: I like Coach Robison, trying to get guys to buy into toughness needed to compete in the Hoosier and beyond, going on his 2nd full year offseason now. I would suspect improvement if buy in is there from Purple Tigers WL: The biggest question mark is how WL reloads on offense losing QB Adams, they will have dudes still, no doubt they will still be favored for the West until proven otherwise, but you could see a shift in how they attack in 2020 with whoever gets the nod at QB, If its an athlete who throws just enough to keep you on your heels then their O will be just fine because sometimes they get that runner at QB who becomes a nightmare. Adams could run to daylight so many times, but there was also dudes open all over the field to throw to a well. Just an added dimension to Coach Fry's offense that hasn't been utilized primarily last few years with Adams arm back there. BC: Really like how they run things under Coach Hammons, just need to get more bodies and keep the youth in the program until they are SRs and can really take off. TL: Had a boat load of Seniors on both sides of the ball, but as stated, they seemed to find ways to not finish off offensive drives and could give up the big play at times, but they are very seasoned coaches and they are always a tough out each year, 2020 won't be any different. LCC: Coming off another state title, their school's 8th, I am sure the expectation will remain. They do lose a lot of key players, especially at the LB and DL spots, but they had some nice looking athletes in the Freshman class from the JV game I saw, so I am sure they will plug and play their way to another successful year. RCHS: Our #1 RB should be fully recovered by time Summer hits, I know he is chomping at the bit that he missed his entire SOPH year due to his ACL that went out Wednesday of Week 1 practice week getting ready for KV. We return 1000 yard Back in Wilmington, another WB that started to turn it on late in the season, another very talented soon to be JR WB kid. Lots of options in the backfield. QB injury this past season to Hickman, opened the door for soon to be JR, Drone, who stepped in and went 3-0 at QB, beating BC, NW and Tipton before Sectionals and Hickman got back. He is a tall kid, still growing and really starting to take off as an athlete, looking forward to see him this winter on the Court. Need to replace FB, 2 TEs and 2 OL on Offense, 2 MLB, a couple DL and 2 DBs but we had capable guys backing up SR this past year so just a manner of getting summer reps and dominating the off season weight room.

Public School can also accept out of boundary students if Family pays tuition. Most Public schools are open I believe. So is it really an advantage?

Sheridan leaving was because of Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Track and Baseball coaches Some of those guys were on Coach Wright staff, some voted with him to stay, others crossed the picket line !! 😂 I run into Coach Wright throughout the off season at various things, and he always brings up how much he misses the Hoosier Conference

Coach Wright was outvoted and the rest of Sheridan's Varsity coaches put up a stand and that led to them getting out of the Hoosier and into the Heartland. It was not a football decision I can 100% promise you that.

Hoosier nation can breathe....... Very Very surprised Coach Brohm elected to go to 2nd OT instead of the win. Defense has struggled all year get stops consistently, especially on 3rd and 8 and longer, PU has to lead the nation in not getting off the field in those situations. IU made the plays they needed and won the game. I predict PU Offense average 500 yard + next year.

Twitter is littered with all the schools who have chosen to honor Coach Bowsman and lend support to West Washington Community and Family. Moment of silence was held at the IFCA Board meeting this morning as well, remember Coach Bowsman and others who were taken too soon. 🙏
