  1. It is two or none because they do not want the fiasco of mid and late season non con games because a team can’t play a conference game every week because of an odd number of teams in the league.
  2. My guess at 4A: 17-ECC, Gary West, Morton, Gavit, Highland, Griffith, Lowell, Hobart 18-Clay, St. Joe, Riley, New Prarie, Plymouth, NorthWood, Culver, Kankakee Valley 19 or 20-East Noble, Angola, DeKalb, Leo, Wayne, South, New Haven, Northridge 19 or 20-Logansport, Huntington North, Mississinewa, Marion, Jay County, Columbia City, Wawasee, Delta 21-Western, Lebanon, Frankfort, Shortridge, Cathedral, Crispus Attucks, Mooresville, Martinsville 22-Greenfield-Central, Beech Grove, Roncalli, Greenwood, New Castle, Muncie Central, Mt. Vernon, Pendleton Heights 23-Richmond, Connersville, East Central, South Dearborn, Jennings County, Madison, Silver Creek, Shelbyville 24- Ev. Reitz, Ev. Central, Ev. Harrison, Ev. Memorial, Boonville, Jasper, Northview made more sense to send Northview south than Silver Creek west. Plus, this splits Cathedral and Roncalli. (I know. Pipe dream that won’t happen, but it makes a lot of sense on the map.)
  3. Not sure it would work with the coaches coaches voting on playoff officials...... but i I could be wrong.
  4. Prayers from Reitz nation. Nothing but respect for EC.
  5. Are we talking the current version of the PAC, or are we talking the proposed version of the Big 8/PAC? There is a reason I ask. If in the current, outside of GS, HH, and SR, are there any other games that would draw any interest? Could you imagine a North/TC, Castle/SS, Reitz/PC, Harrison/NP, or Bosse/FP. Nothing against any of these games, but I can’t see most of these games drawing much interest. The teams that people would want to see are GS, HH, and SR. Now, if we are talking after the merger (loss of SR would stink in that instance), but matchups like Castle/Jasper, MD/MV, or a RHS/GS or HH matchup would be good for both sides. Heck, if Castle/Jasper were to ever happen, I might even go to that game. At the middle school level, those two teams do not like each other.
  6. So, I am assuming that this snarky remark is being made because I bleed blue. Hey, that’s fine pal. Just don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth buddy. You say one thing, then come back at me for answering a question and and having some kind of audacity to suggest that Southridge would play GS in football. How dare I? Well, I’m glad that Southridge fans can see how you feel about their team. But please, drop them in week 9. Would love to see who you might get to replace them there. I hear Bowman Academy has an opening week 9 this year. Maybe that spot will still be open when this merger happens. Get over it already.
  7. I haven’t gotten to see the entirety of schedules yet, but, if this merger does happen, and the split happens as is being said here, and if Tecumseh does come back into the fold, and they do try to keep schedules as close to what they currently are, along with established rivalries, I believe that Linton would be off the SR schedule with the boys from Huntingburg playing non-con against Jasper (wk 2), Heritage Hills (wk 7), and Gibson Southern (wk 9). Tecumseh would be the new edition to the schedule, and considering that SR doesn’t have to swap anyone from their current schedule for conference play, Tecumseh would most likely slide into the week one game with SR.
  8. What about if a 6A or 5A plays a 4A or lower? How would the mercy rule work in this situation? The SIAC has teams in classes from 2A to 5A. The SAC is the same way. How would that work?
  9. Who wants to put money on this? Sectional 24 first round game. Jasper v. Reitz at the bowl. I’ll call it now that it happens, and we will continue to hear it is a blind draw.
