  1. Homestead anywhere in your top 5. Snider anywhere in your top 10. I don't even know where to begin with the MIC. Carmel won't make it past regionals..........might not get that far. The HCC might have the two best teams in the state. Merrillville might be worthy of top 10, might not. Lafayette Jeff might be worthy of top 5, might not. How good is Westfield? How good is Pike? How good is Carroll? This is borderline insane trying to figure out. Might as well just drop the 6a poll and let the playoffs decide.
  2. Noblesville is a 5 touchdown favorite against their sectional 3 counterparts. Mercy rule looming for whoever draws the Millers.
  3. Lol, I'm really starting to like this guy. The entertainment value is priceless.
  4. I've always believed those rankings to be spot on 😀 Seriously though, it wouldn't totally shock me if the SAC had 3 of the top 6 teams in the state. This is about as strong as I've seen the SAC in recent memory. Couple that with the MIC being down and I suppose it's possible. I wouldn't bet on it though. I can't wait for the playoffs. The playoffs normally answer all our questions.
  5. I think giving up 66 points to the 3a number 1 is a bad thing. Defense (normally) wins championships. I don't think beating Lawrence Central is a bad thing, but they only beat them by 2. Not near as impressive as WC and CG's victories over LC.
  6. I can't argue with Merrillville's win over Crown Point...................nothing overly impressive. There is a reason I left them out for now. But if they beat Valpo this Friday, that will trump anything Jeff has done to date.
  7. Pioneer vs Lewis Cass Round 2 will be a war!
  8. North Central beat both Center Grove and Carmel the last two weeks. How can they not be on your list? I've also got Snider on my list. They already beat a very good Carroll team and hung tough with Homestead. If they can get by Carroll and Homestead in Sectional 3, then I think they have a shot.
  9. 8.........maybe 9. The maybe is Merrillville. I want to see how they do Friday against Valpo. Lafayette Jeff isn't on my list. Although I will be rooting for either them or Merrillville if Snider bows out. I think a 2pt win over Lawrence Central and giving up 66 to West Layfayette excludes them from discussion. I hope they prove me wrong. Having a great team coming out of Layfayette is good for 6a.

Not sure if Notre Dame Top 5 or Top 10. But the gap between Georgia and Notre Dame certainly isn't huge. Beating ND by 6 in Athens is anything but.
  11. Hopefully losing Hayes for the year doesn't have half the impact that losing Love in the Clemson game last year had.
  12. Notre Dame.............either you love em or you hate em. 1. Only a hater would say something that absurd...................."lucky the score was even close." 2. Not delusional. Just stating what the haters don't want to hear. Notre Dame proved that they can run with anyone in the country. Even Kirk Herbstreit agrees.............and that's saying alot.

I will believe it when I see it. A seven point win over Texas is certainly a good win, but it doesn't qualify them as the best team in the SEC. In fact, I'm wondering if I should have put Auburn above them in my poll. Will see what they are made of with Florida, Auburn, and Alabama coming up. Nothing against Washington, I'm just not sold on west coast football. I think your best ten or twelve teams are east of Oklahoma.
  15. I think both. The MIC is down this year. Lafayette Jeff, Homestead, and Carroll way up. HCC...............average? Down?
  16. Won't know until regionals.
  17. And I have a world of respect for LCC. They just don't seem to be the same team since Kevin O'shea left.
  18. I too was thinking 6a is a crapshoot this year. If a non MIC/HCC team were to win, this would be the year.
  19. The game was close because Notre Dame proved that they are, at a minimum, just as good as Georgia. If I'm the Bulldogs, I don't want to play Notre Dame on a neutral field. Crowd noise was a factor and the cause of Notre Dame's self inflicted wounds. Not sure you and I watched the same game. Georgia loses to Notre Dame on a neutral field. They were lucky Notre Dame didn't beat them in Athens. For all the Notre Dame haters (just one on this thread that I can see), get used to Notre Dame being part of the playoff conversation as long as Brian Kelly is their coach. Not many coaches in the country could accomplish what he has with the academic standards the university has for it's athletes. At the end of the day, Notre Dame is a top five program............and that is just eating away at the haters. 1st Tier: Alabama and Clemson 2nd Tier: Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame Notre Dame will always be in the limelight. Will always be part of the playoff conversation. Will always be the team everyone wants to play and beat (record crowds when the Irish come to town). And will always compete with the country's best on a national stage.
  20. Just another liberal college professor for ya. Career educators, no real world experience.
  21. 1. Ohio State 2. Alabama 3. Oklahoma 4. Clemson 5. Georgia 6. Notre Dame 7. LSU 8. Auburn 9. Wisconsin 10. Penn State
  22. 6A - Homestead 5A - New Pal 4A - Mooresville 3a - Chatard 2A - Pioneer 1A - South Adams
