  1. I get that, but I think attention is a major part for some. Damn, look at Tom Brady. He eats it up.
  2. To me, a commitment is a contract. If these kids aren't in a legally binding contract, why even call it a commitment at all? What constitutes a commitment? What are kids actually signing when they commit? I honestly think half these kids are just attention seekers.
  3. That seems to be the consensus. Who do we have for an all time Giants squad? 1991?
  4. Good work. Do you think the All-Time teams are an accurate measure? For instance: 2015 didn't appear to be a very strong year in 6A. I have a hard top putting that Center Grove team among the all time best.
  5. I can only repeat that 2+2=4 so many times. It's over.
  6. Snider's right there. Two D1 guys in the defensive backfield. A D2 guy on the defensive line. And two guys at linebacker going D1 in other sports. I think were close to being on the same page.
  7. I said I was done, I have to stick with that. You're smart. Your pushback on this is perplexing to say the least.
  8. Same for Snider. Stocked on defense, questions on offense. I think it comes down to special teams and defensive touchdowns.
  9. And a few miles down the road will be HSE/Carroll.
  10. 1. Carmel is only four years removed from a state title. They'll be back. 2. Lol. 3. Warren will have a massive test in Week 1.
  11. He was the starting fullback as a sophomore. I think he saw quite a bit of time at linebacker as well. Committed to Michigan wrestling. I wanna say he was somewhere in Colorado his junior year focusing on wrestling. Take it for what it's worth.
  12. Top wresler in the nation..............running back.............linebacker. Question answered?
  13. It's been that way for four decades and will be for at least another one. But if communities like Westfield, Fishers, HSE, Noblesville, and Carroll continue to grow, that gap will close. The "MIC 4" won't dominate the next four decades like they did the last four. I guess. But it really starts with the youth programs/camps in my opinion. Buy-in from the middle schools. Booster club. It's a process.
  14. Coaching/Administrative buy-in. Can't have one without the other. But if you have both, you're 6A title dangerous.
  15. Lol, that's fair. But...............I still think if the best team goes into a game half asleep, there are 15 teams waiting to take you out.
  16. 1. Geesman first and foremost. 2. When Penn was winning, all they had to do was beat Snider. Then they had to be better than the winner of Carmel, BD, and WC. Now there's 15 teams that can beat you on any given night.
  17. Agree with all four. Best post in this thread. Thanks for sharing that.
  18. The problem in my opinion is twofold. 1. Center Grove - Eric Moore's passion is second to none. 2. One of these schools will always be in an "up" year..........BD, WC, or Carmel. Every program in the state faces these two road blocks. Rarely can a program put together a team better than all three of the "Big 3" in the same season. Then you have to be better than Center Grove to boot.
  19. Snider's already a contender in 6A. This makes things a bit more interesting.
  20. Who has the best chance of breaking through in the next couple of years........Fishers, HSE, or Westfield?
  21. One last thing: Footballking & Bash. You guys are smart. You both understand football. Two of the smarter posters on this forum. The fact that you don't comprehend what I'm saying is massively bizarre. Good luck to your teams this year. Moving on for real now. So basically no surprises this year?
  22. I concede. The Indy guys have spoken. Carmel, Warren Central, and Ben Davis have 28 titles because the "do things better", lol. Moving on.
  23. Over the last six seasons, the three largest schools all boast at least one title. Center Grove is the only school to break through.
  24. I'm referencing the largest football division since 1978. From 1978-1982, it was 3A. From 1983-1984 is was 4A. From 1985-2012 it was 5A.
