I know I’m ranting into the void - but earlier this week I heard questioning ‘Why don’t they move all non conference games to week 1 and be done with it?’ It won’t work with an odd number. Not sure how people can’t figure that out. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk

I haven't read the rule, but I am curious the application/interpretation. Hypothetical: The Busy Bee (RIP) runs a photo on their Facebook page showing Eric Nowlin eating ice cream. Which caption is ok and which is not ok? 1. Eric Nowlin enjoys ice cream from the Busy Bee. 2. Our local (negative star LOL) athlete enjoys the Busy Bee. 3. Football athletes (assuming they call Eric Nowlin an athlete) like our ice cream. 4. Bomber players like the Busy Bee. Personally I am ok with 1 and 2. 3 I'm probably ok with. 4 I think should NOT be ok. Assuming there is pay involved. If unpaid, I'm perfectly fine with all 4. In game photos, or full uniform photos/appearances should be a no-no. If you are wearing a "Bombers 1000 lb. club" shirt in #1 I would be ok with it. #2 would depend on how prominent the shirt was. A football t-shirt I would say no. #3 & #4 no. Just my .02.

My question is who will be this year's Cascade or South Putnam? Although South Put was in Semi State the year before and had some sectional titles, both teams were a surprise to make it all the way to LOS.

Here would have been my suggestion. Move Sullivan up to the western Indy (which now includes Crawfordsville) sectional. Move Indian Creek to an Indy/ East Indiana sectional. Move Corydon and NH to the Southeast corner. Alternatively, I could be talked in Sullivan in 32 which would push HH/ SR to the east in 31, which is how things were during the 2010's. 29. (7): Crawfordsville, North Montgomery, Tri-West Hendricks, Western Boone, Sullivan, Owen Valley, Edgewood 30. (8): Indianapolis George Washington Community, Speedway, Purdue Polytechnic - Downtown, Indian Creek, Heritage Christian, New Castle, Centerville, Rushville Consolidated 31. (8): Scottsburg, Corydon Central, North Harrison, Batesville, Franklin County, Greensburg, Lawrenceburg, South Dearborn 32. (8): Evansville Mater Dei, Evansville Reitz Memorial, Gibson Southern, Mt. Vernon, Princeton Community, Southridge, Vincennes Lincoln, Washington

Two things stick out to me. 1. They put 7 teams in Sectional 31 and 8 in 32. If I am not mistaken, but Heritage Hills earned 2 points last year by winning the 4A Regional. If they win sectional 24 this fall, they will stay 4A. If they lose in sectional, they will revert to 3A for Fall 2027. 2. Scottsburg (Sectional 31) would have a much easier drive to North Harrison and Corydon as opposed to Vincennes or Washington.

I'm thinking Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini will redo the sectionals. The question is whether it can be prompted to know that North Central (Farmersburg) and North Central are two completely different schools. And Harrison (Lafayette) and Evansville Harrison. And 3A with SB Washington, Indy Washington, and Washington HS will need a lot of prompting to keep straight.

What jumps out to me: Chatard is juuuust big enough to remain in 4A.

If I were a betting man (and I am not) I would think Chatard goes 3A south. Last year all 4 north sectionals had 8 teams, while 3 of the south sectionals only had 7. Also, Hamilton Heights, Guerin, and Crawfordsville were south last year. I can’t imagine that many teams shuffled between classes to move them north. And don’t forget by unwritten rule Guerin and Chatard have to be in the same sectional - so I don’t see both moving north

Should make for some great conference games. Forgive me - not trying to hijack the thread, but I need a quick refresher. Scecina, Ritter, Chatard, and Roncalli - Indianapolis Archdiocese Brebeuf and Cathedral - Independent Guerin - Lafayette Diocese If that's true, that makes a little more sense why the Circle City Four would go separate ways.
