A few scores...not a few points. LOL. Maybe a 100. French Lick

Great players attract great players, as you know well. We will see how it all plays out. The specific group has yet to win a sectional (or the conference)....my guess is that it ends very different this year. Everything seems to be in place.

HH vs GS--I'm not going to comment, I mean how can you compete with all those transfers! I joke, seriously....I'm kidding, that was a ridiculous discussion. HH will struggle to keep this game close if we resort back to the turnover machine we were in the first 4 games. Our defense is good, but the DBs will have their work cut out for them for sure. MV vs Boonville -- MV by 28 NP vs Tecumseh -- NP by 40 NK by a few Princeton over Washington--did Pike Central really beat Washington? Forest Park in a close one SR over TC in a close one

I should have given a little more context....😄 This apparently all started on 231 and they ended up bailing out of the car. There was not an incident in the football stadium, they just wanted to keep the kids safe and send them home. Obviously we don't get this kind of excitement very often. My suggestion is to get every hill jack in Spencer county out with their thermal imaging scopes. Coyotes, fugitives, whatever, we will find them!

Decision going to be made here whether or not to have a game tonight....4 people on foot being chased by the cops. Everyone was sent home last night--cleared football stadium (7th grade game) out in about 10 minutes. School was called off today because they still haven't been caught. Phone call said they would decide about homecoming game today by 1:00. Geez, is this like a daily thing when you live in Chicago or is it business as usual?

Enjoy that, as I'm sure you do. I always loved it when folks hate us cause they ain't us.

Linton vs Boonville at the Roy. Trap game?
HHPatriots replied to globemstr3's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Linton wins by at least 3 scores. We beat them by 2 and turned the ball over about 100 times. -
Linton by a couple scores. MV by 35 I agree with the turnover margin in HH/NP. We have been a turnover machine, if we can shut that off, we win by a score--maybe, NP appears to be really good. SS--probably close GS by a bunch, they will look to make a statement after the beat down they got Friday night (big boy football can be hard on you) TC by 3 scores Washington may score more in this game than they do all year combined.

If we are going to get all nostalgic, I believe we were also the first public school to beat Chatard and Roncolli after the playoff system came about in 3A. Correct that if I'm off.

Gibson Southern at South Warren KY
HHPatriots replied to Titan32's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Unfortunately you aren't wrong, it really isn't much different than playing in Indy or having Indy refs travel south. We got screwed over pretty bad in 2014 against Tri-West at home for semi-state. It isn't so bad when a bad call doesn't matter, but when multiple bad calls change the outcome of a game that big..... -
I appreciate the jab, as it is deserved, of the 7 times we have played Chatard we have only beat them one time. "We want Bama!" Sure, until you get them. Everybody wants to play Chatard, until they do. But as we have always said here, until the rules change we just have to get stronger, faster, better. Regardless, enjoy the ride. It is a crap ton of fun.

Gibson Southern at South Warren KY
HHPatriots replied to Titan32's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I wish I could see this game....most interesting game this week to me. Hoping GS brings a W back to the PAC. This should give some idea of how things will look for GS when/if they get to semi-state. -
They are good, no doubt. This week will show how good they really are. If they keep this game against South Warren within a score or two (or win it) then yeah...they are crazy good. There is a ton of football to play and there has been nothing but hype around GS for the last 3 years, but they haven't won a sectional in the last 3 years. I say again, with Memorial out and Chatard out....the stars have aligned to get to semi-state, but they must get out of sectional first--by the numbers they should blow through everything until they get to Semi-State. #18 is excellent, and I am ready for him to put on the black and gold (BOILER UP!) but now he has guys catching balls they were dropping before. I hate to say this as an HH fan but I am looking forward to watching them play....they are fun to watch.

HH by a couple scores Tell City by a couple, they are better than that 35-0 score showed and will likely be competitive on the small side of the PAC GS by a million MV by a million SS by a few NP with the upset, NP is a veteran team, don't overlook their QB All of course subject to covid turning everything on its head.
-
Indeed. #18 is putting up some stupid numbers against some big schools. Will be a test for our DBs for sure.
-
It always makes me feel good when the wishbone comes out. We played decent....I'm not sure how good TC really is. I know they aren't the team they were last year. I would argue that Tell City is better than South Spencer and will likely beat them by 3 scores, but time will tell.

The price of tickets
HHPatriots replied to Trojanmp52's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Inflation is a real thing..... Actually we went up to Jasper for the scrimmage and I just figured they were charging us $6 because of all the Jasper/Heritage Hills hate that has went on for years. -
Indeed, you won't get any better playing in mediocrity.
-
What's the problem? That is 4 more than you need.

Week 1: Southridge Versus Linton
HHPatriots replied to Miner_Pride's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Sadly, this contract is up and I believe this is the last year for this game. -
Their sectional isn't quite the meat grinder ours is....that sectional is really up to just about anyone. The beating would have came in regional for whoever came out of that sectional.
-
I am biased to my Patriots, but I would say with you that for Gibson Southern again--"if not now when". With Memorial and Chatard in 4A, and #18 in his Senior season it appears that the stars may have aligned. It is kinda hanging over his head that there hasn't been so much as a sectional the last 3 years...things may be much different for GS this year. If they are going to make a run, now is the time. I would, however, like to think that we could do something to stop that.

5th grade is when we start. I know there are some that start much sooner. I don't think it is necessary. I think it may steer more kids away from football than to football if you start in say, 1st grade. We play flag through 4th grade and the objective is simply to make it fun so that they will want to play in 5th grade (tackle).
