6A: Carroll vs Center Grove

#1 drilled the ball carrier going out of bounds and then stood over him and taunted him for his first flag and then drilled another ball carrier 3 yards out of bounds a few drives later. -

I’ll assure you that an Irish player who gets two unsportsmanlike penalties like that is standing on the sideline without a helmet for the rest of the game. -

I don’t need to be a licensed official to tell when a kid is out of control on the field. One late hit out of bounds while taunting in the process should be a warning, happens a second time…it’s a problem. -
6A: Carroll vs Center Grove

I mean that easily could have been called as well, but he’s headhunting and he’s going to end up either hurting himself or someone else. He’s come up slowly the last few tackles he’s been in on. He needs to sit. Can’t believe the Carroll coaches haven’t picked up on this nor have the referees taken it into their own hands. -

He’s gotten two dead ball penalties on cheap shots out of bounds in about the last 8 minutes of game time. -

#1 on Carroll is out of control. Time for him to sit for a series or two. -

This on the verge of getting out of hand quickly. Center Grove dominating the line of scrimmage. There’s 2-3 pancakes a snap. -

6A: Carroll vs Center Grove

Cathedral was really fortunate to win the first meeting. Center Grove had a very uncharacteristic 6 minutes of relegation or else they're still undefeated against Indiana teams going into their third consecutive state final. I still think Center Grove, Cathedral, and Brownsburg were the three best 6A teams I've seen this year but Carroll has a chance to join that discussion with a win next week. -
That found running game has everything to do with the QB. That fact that IU only threw 7 passes…..and won, rectifies that.

Couple silver linings today. 1. IU found its QB for the future. Williams as a true dual-threat QB masks a bad offensive line and adds another dimension to the offense. Not caught up in the throwing numbers like some. Truth be told IU didn’t need to throw the ball to win today and Williams has enough zip on his ball to where I believe he’ll be a threat starting next year after getting a full years worth of reps with the starters in the offseason. 2. True freshman Jaylin Lucas likely just cemented his honors on the All-American team as a KR this afternoon. Leads all FBS in kickoff return average and now has taken two back to the house. Fellow true freshman Dasan McCullough should make the freshman All-American as well. Hope IU can keep those two around. 3. Resiliency. Can tell they’re still fighting for Allen. A coach who has lost the locker room wouldn’t have a team come back from that half time deficit. Still been an extremely frustrating year as there have been 2-3 games that could have resulted in wins, but you’d have to think a win over Purdue would be a huge boost of confidence heading into the offseason. While a bowl game is always the ultimate goal, I’d have to say going 5-7 given the way last year played out is a step in the right direction.

Gibson Southern loses to Owen Valley and this guy wants to cry about Chatard. Classic -

Pretty ho-hum year for Chatard resulting in yet another trip to LOS. Cathedral and Roncalli were both on the cusp of potentially program defining seasons leaving ol Chatard in the shadows, Trojans get the last laugh. Still the best pound for pound program in the state in my opinion. -
Got away from the Irish quick. Had two great drives to start the game and were absolutely gashing the Trojan D with the running game. Center Grove didn’t flinch. Thought Cathedral abandoned the run game way too early, pass protection was horrific. Center Grove once again proves why they are the class of 6A, stage never seems to big for them.

Ah the transitive property ehh? Cathedral beats Penn by 14 and Carroll beats Penn by 28 so therefore Carroll is better. Is that how it works? What about the running clock Cathedral implemented on Lafayette Jeff earlier in the year? The same Lafayette Jeff team who beats Carroll if the coach isn't throwing the ball inside the 10 yard line with a minute left in the game down 1 point.
