5A: Valparaiso (13-0) vs New Palestine (13-0)

I thought we looked tired? Which is it? -
I was NPCFL president for 4 years and have been associated with the league since 2008 in some capacity. We do run a structured league. First and Second grade have an offensive and defensive playbook they must use. Third and fourth grade have offensive and defensive formations and restictions. The fifth and sixth divisions run the 33 stack, like the HS. I also coach at the junior high, where we run a watered down version of the high school stuff. Ralph's weight program is top notch. It's not for everyone, and it can be grueling, but the kids see the results. When Maxen was a sophomore, we had 6 seniors. That senior class did not win a game in middle school. But they did in high school, losing to Zionsville on a 48 yard field goal in the mud in the sectional championship. From weight room, to practices, to game plans . . . it is unbelievable. And a football crazed community that really supports this team.

I love me some Ralph, and I love NP, but a regional win next year will be tough. (I know you are reading this Kyle, prove me wrong!) -

Wanna know who looked gassed tonight? Center Grove. I will say this, as the sophomores go, Curry is a stud. I've seen him live twice now, that kid can play. Jackson was impressive when they went spread. Seems to be a waste in the wing T if you are never gonna run a waggle now and then. He's a spread QB. Might be time to go with it. The rest of the sophs have some work to do to get 4 star status. -
6A: Carmel (10-3) vs Center Grove (8-5)

I went to this game. In the third quarter I thought CG was done. Looked totally gassed on offense and defense. Went spread and Jackson looked really good. When he is a running threat, the Trojans are a lot better. When he is not . . . and they are in the wing T . . . well . . . they are not so good. CG secondary looked the same as the last time I saw them. Curry is OMG. Looked to wear down a bit, but he is only a sophomore. Sky is the limit on that kid. I saw him chase down Maxen from opposite side DE 40 yards down the field in week 2 . . . kid can play. -

I was under the impression the 75 player rule had been discontinued. You just have to be listed on the playoff roster at the start. Am I wrong on this? If this happened to your senior . . . totally sucks. -
needs a tweaking

#1 Carmel was 5-1 vs top 11 teams. Wins vs CG x2, Ben Davis, HSE (#10??? what? how???) and WC. But losses to #14 North Central and Louisville Trinity (who Cathedral crushed) Avon is #2? Really? New Palestine has wins against 3 top 11 teams. Center Grove, Cathedral, and Valpo.

Should return 4 OL with starting experience, QB, and WR. Lose 5 WR and RB1. On defense, should return 1 DL (and a couple more with significant playing time), 2 LB, but lose entire secondary. Some pretty big holes to fill. I would say it will be a lot like 3 years ago. Pretty good freshman group that lost 1 game in middle school. But all will come down to commitment. -

I'm not debating they have good players. I'm debating you predicting they would win a rematch based on that. That game already happened. -

So what? You are predicting 4 stars for sophs now? New Pal won. At their place. By three scores. CG got better? So did NP. so stupid! -
