Their schedule has nothing to with it when it comes to tournament time.
I just can't figure out why they want to play a 6A schedule but then play a 4A tournament. Trophies is the only explanation.
I don't get this at all. Why apply the new rules at the end of a two year cycle, but only to certain sports? Either it should apply to all sports starting this new two year cycle, or it should apply to all sports just finishing the cycle.
Should be fun! Looking forward to it. I think everyone expects 5A to be down with losses of East, Roncalli, and Cathedral, but I still think it will be a battle!
New Pal has several big holes to fill at QB, center, and LB. The do return 3 starting OL, 3 WR, 2 DL, 1 LB, their entire secondary, and 1 RB.
What does Snider/Dwenger have returning?
Two of the top New Palestine seniors had surgery after the season and would not be able to play. I was unsure if availability to participate (injury, college commitment, vacation, desire to play) effected the selection process. Just curious how the process works. Not a complaint.
I amend my statement. Having a live video feed of your game occasionally does not hurt attendance. Having your games broadcast weekly via video feed most definitely hurts attendance. Why go to the game if you don't have a kid on field and can stay and watch the game from your living room? Haven't I seen post after post this season about MIC attendance? Not a coincidence that all these schools broadcast their games. I'd be willing to wager a hefty sum that if all New Palestine games were broadcast, our attendance would decline.
Bingo. Agree 100 %. Zionsville is gonna bump to 6A anyway. Might as well go somewhere that will have a lot of athletes to compete in that class.
Zionsville competed as a 5A team with a 6A schedule. Record be damned.
